There are many available chains right now that has smart contract capability with "cheaper" transaction fees in dollar value. I'm pretty sure you've heard of BSC. Solana is another that's also popular.

I think fusion is a very good blockchain that has a very good technology built into it, though people are yet to discover the kind of powerful tech that runs on fusion blockchain, which I also think suppasses Ethereum and Binance smart chain put together, this project have been around for about 4 years or there about, and recently, they launched a new defi project which is know as Chainge finance, this project is amazing and its all powered by fusion, it's only a matter of time before people discover this amazing project and it skyrockets, Chainge finance is already doing very well considering the fact its just about 3 or 4 months old.

If only fees then you can used fantom or matic instead. These two are the known blockchain with lowest fee at the moment. Even lower than bsc network fee that their 1 coin can be used for multiple transactions. But in terms of massive adoption we cant deny that ethereum is still the best one to use and been used by many since then. So its gonna be hard to find an alternative for that. Its not really that bad in my opinion.

I think you have missed the London Hardfork for ETH 2.0 which also fix the fee issue more or less however, Polkadot/BSC network can be the alternative to Ethereum Chain if you are looking for testing an alternative one to compare Ethereum with others. People have specilated Polkadot as next Ethereum and/or Ethereum killer but at the end of the day, Polkadot is getting late with so many updates.

Fee is always a big issue in Eth. Bsc network is better than Eth erherium in fee only. But Bsc cannot handle thosands transaction per seconds.
Solana , people says Etherium killer can compete with Eth. Similarly Xrp can always next blockchain better than Etherium.

There are already competitors bro why do you think we have bsc with a reduced fees which is the number one competitor to Ethereum network, and there are several other similar blockchain but the real question is are the devs ready to diversify! Instead of using eth blockchain all the time are they ready to try out other network! By doing so the power will a bit from eth to any other good blockchain be it bsc, polygon etc.

I think MATIC and BSC are another alternative, because the gas fees from MATIC and BSC are very cheap compared to Ethereum, so if you want to find a Blockchain whose gas fees are not as expensive as Ethereum, then MATIC and BSC are the right choices, but I personally still prefer Blockchain from Ethereum, because I am comfortable using Blockchain from Ethereum, even though gas fees from Ethereum are currently increasing, but I am sure when ETH 2.0 is launched, then of course gas fees from Ethereum will be low.

The competitor recently of Ethereum upon fees is the BSC/BNB. There are other projects that have been working with that chain because they find the fee to be cheaper than usual. But if you just want to have the cheap fees upon transfers, there really are other altcoins that can offer you that. Some choices are Dogecoin, Litecoin, TRX, XRP, Nano and there are others more. Those are the coins that I've been seeing when people are talking about cheap fees.
