I'm at block 157236 and have 0 connections. Mt.Gox support said it may be a technical problem with my bitcoin client? It's been pretty frustrating, I invested a lot of money :/ Any help would be greatly appreciated.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)
