The setbacks in gambling is really one thing ngl, it's continuing it itself. That's the setback. Learn to set your limits, and even if, even if there was a chance that you could've gotten something back, but at the cost of exceeding your limit, then don't. That just means that said "limit" is literally a joke that you set upon yourself, and once done, can be easily repeated a million more times. You're literally making yourself a joke at that point in time. Honestly when advising someone as a newbie, I'd just tell them to play a game or two then stop, then increase that by two or three times for each session so they can get familiarized with it slowly while being in control.

As a newbie, self-control when it comes to gambling really is hard but you can think of 1 thing that might help you learning self-control. These "thing" that I'm saying helped me learn how to control myself whenever I'm gambling. What is that?? Priorities .

My priorities is the key why I'm gambling not that often and I learned self control because of it. As a newbie, its really hard to control yourself and this is the reason why most gamblers are getting addicted into gambling. They can't control themselves whenever they are gambling and they will not stop gambling until they are out of money anymore. If they win they will continue to gamble and if they lose, they will find ways to have money to gamble. This is a wrong mindset and it must be changed. In general, if you can't learn yourself how to control whenever you're gambling it would be better if you will just not gamble at all.

Losing will always stay in its form and that is to give disadvantage, frustration, and other negativity that it can bring to us. Unless you really are a gambler that's very optimistic with every single thing you do and you consider those losses you made as a lesson.

I think we tend to be more emotionally invested when something is new to us...win or lose of course, take my analogy as an example it's like buying a new car and you love how it sounds and drives, when it's new you won't get used to it you will always be excited and the alike but after several years this sensation becomes natural and contained.  Same thing happens with gambling after winning or losing several times we learn to control our emotions.

Control means everything, in everything we do in our lives, especially in decision making. If you're in control, gambling house could never manipulate you, therefore you can avoid losing your money in the long run.
