The dream is to witness Bitcoin price reaching 100k dollars in this year. However, the current look of the market is really poor unfortunately. The recent dump destroyed the expectations. We are having another boring September. But we are not even in the half of this month so maybe things can start getting better in one or two weeks I hope. I would really like that this huge price correction is a sign for a bull market to come soon.

Yeah it won't likely bitcoin price will touch 100k this year because usually after 2nd price crash in a year, the price will recover very slowly a head. So i think we should wait for longer time.
But we should keep an eye for the price because there are a lot of new potential projects that ready to invested in, this would be the chance for the investors aiming for profits while the price of btc is still not promising

Geoffrey Kendrick head of Standard Chartered's new cryptocurrency research division, according to a Reuters report he is also the global head of the bank's emerging currency research. In a message sent to customers, Jeffrey wrote, ‘Bitcoin may be the most important cashless transaction method in the world in the future as a medium of exchange. At the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022, the price may go up to one lakh dollars.' ‍so the dream is come true. With in short of time bitcoin holders will get huge.

It's probably too early to say bitcoin will hit $100,000 by the end of this year, as 2021 is just 3 months away and bitcoin's price is currently bearish, however, $100,000 may be hit next year as more institutions come in.

When Bitcoin goes down from 80 to 29, it goes up and down there for a while. But now it is going up and down again. But 50k the moment it is fluctuating again. I have learned from some news outlets that many people have exchanged views that Bitcoin will cross 100k by the end of this year. I would like to know the opinion of the members of the forum.
I totally agree and I also predict the same thing that Bitcoin will be able to reach a price of 100k or more this year and also I read a lot of news that continues to preach about the positives of Bitcoin and also the popularity of bitcoin which is increasing very rapidly this year, therefore I think for the price of 100k it's not just a dream it will come true.

I feel like after a second crash has not happened yet. I mean one was from 64k to 28k which was a HUGE crash and I understand it, however the other one is from 51k to 47k in the short term and that’s like nothing in the world of crypto.

We had a crash from 50k to 47k from 23th of august to 27th of august and another same one that was from 29th to start of September, and now another same one which was only different because it wasn't 50k but more like 52k, and drop to same prices. Long story short just in the last 3 weeks we had 3 drops from over 50k to under 47k, which should show the world that these type of drops are not a big deal. I understand that it does look like a big deal, but it really is not a big deal at all.

now the price of bitcoin has dropped back to the price of $ 45K and of course it takes a strong push in the market so that bitcoin can again create its latest price record, but for now it looks like bitcoin will be very difficult to get to the price of $100K, even so I'm sure if by the end of this year the price of bitcoin will only be able to reach the price of $ 70K.

it was very difficult to break through $50k, only a few days bitcoin was above $50k and after that bitcoin was thrown quite deep. The end of the year is approaching and this situation can certainly dispel the optimism of many people that the bitcoin price will reach $100k before the end of the year. if market conditions do not recover quickly of course the chances of reaching $100k before the end of the year will be smaller.

Don't despair. There is no reason Bitcoin cannot repeat this move again after doing so on several occasions already.

Bitcoin price in September 2012 (a year after the first halving) ~ $ 130, jumped to $1,150 in December.
Bitcoin price in September 2017 (a year after the second halving) ~ $ 4,900, jumped to $ 19,000 in December.
Bitcoin price in September 2021 (a year after the third halving) ~ $ 45,000, jumped to ??? in December.

Seeing Bitcoin price reaching $100k level is my dream also. But after the last fall in the price, it looks like it is going to stay as a dream for more time than I expected. Because I was hoping to see this level at the end of the year in the worst case. But considering the recent situation, there is no way for it unless Bitcoin price starts recovering over $50k in a short time. We are nearly half September. But even if it recovers to its old levels, I think that we need a bull run in the next month in the worst case to have a chance for $100k this year. But I know that this won't be most likely happening.

Very interesting, if the same thing happens we will never know if how many fold bitcoin will jump.

A matter of how well you anticipate, there's no clear or any accurate point as all are a base from own speculation and opinion,
This information about Bitcoin movement every after halving that takes place, will give us a good glimpse. if history will repeat itself
we might not see $100K but possible to reach more than that level.

We can't be certain mate, $100,000 might be a dream, but for sure, it can be achieved because this market is very active, many new investors are coming inside and entering the picture. And we are just half way already, so anything can happen in the next coming months. Just one good news and everyone will FOMO again. If September seems to be a bad month history, November-December is then the final push, a super bullish trend. So hopefully, 6 digits is still within reach this year.

The general consensus will always be to HODL BTC for maximum profit 3-4 years after the fork. Though this does not apply to short-term investors, by just looking at the price history chart, you would see that while it may be volatile, the trend will always be upward.

When I started last 2017, the price of BTC was around $4,000-$5,000. 4 years after that or currently, the price of 1 BTC has exceeded everyone's expectation- that is why always HODL parts of your BTC for long-term gains.

I don't really expect bitcoin to break through $100k this year because market prices often fluctuate and to be able to break through $100k you need a strong push and I think it's a little too much like forcing market prices. at least we hope that in the year we can break through again to the previous high of $62k or its equivalent. so bitcoin growth can reach back to its previous record price it's very normal and not too pushy.

although i don't like speculation based on previous movements but this reminds me of an important thing. during each of these periods where price was at $1000, $100, $10 and $1 there were A LOT OF people crying about bitcoin price and how it can't go up beyond some random price number.... at the time....

One thing to always bare in mind when thinking Bitcoin will increase substantially in price (e.g. double the current value) is the total market capitalization. In order to reach the current value of roughly $50k per Bitcoin, all the existing Bitcoins together are collectively worth just under a trillion dollars. Now that is a huge sum of money, especially when you consider something like Dogecoin has a total market cap equal to only $31 billion - only 3% of Bitcoins price. So, it is much easier to move smaller altcoins many multiples higher than it is to move Bitcoin up just 5 or 10 percent. Next time you're trying to invest in something hoping it will double, triple or quadruple in value - think about how much money it would take the move the needle.

Hopefully this will happen, may not be this year, could be early next who knows,  although btc looks more capable each day to reach that goal, as much as the price occasionally dips btc always fight to get back up, I will be the most happiest to see btc at that price because alts will equally do well.

So you are banking on the Bitcoin price to rise so that the altcoins you are rising will also rise along with it  Cheesy. I will not point figures at you regarding this as majority are in the market thinking about this aspect. I am also holding a few alts that i expect could reap me a huge profit and then i am holding Bitcoin as well and if it reaches hundred thousand or anywhere near it i might book everything and wait for the correction  Cheesy.

I also don't think we will see bitcoin price reaching $100k in the near future, because now it seems that sentiment is just attacking bitcoin so that the negative thing is triggering a decline in the price and also the trading volume of bitcoin in the market, based on coinmarketcap today the bitcoin market market has decreased downwards and made the bitcoin price drop almost 7.61% or touched the price of $43.5K in a day, from some information there was a decline because due to a sell-off due to the contagion effect of China Evergrande Group.

today the price of bitcoin is down quite deep and the price is currently around $44k, and that means bitcoin is getting far from that goal ($100k). and this also means that most altcoin prices have also fallen quite deeply as most altcoins are following the bitcoin price.
