Should you sell ethereum and btc to buy Solana/SOL?

I don't care if Sol is good long term or short although Sol looks good and a promising project doesn't mean you have to do the stupid thing to sell bitcoin and ethereum to buy the clear and proven Sol both are kings and queens in the crypto market and the best of all time .
if you are interested in Sol, you can do so by buying it without having to sacrifice bitcoin and ethereum for other coins although it is potentially profitable.

Maybe he's just following Solana's development and doesn't care about ethereum and bitcoin or he's just interested in Solana.
I also disagree if selling Bitcoin and ethereum just to buy newly released Coins and booming in the near future. after that it is possible that the value and price will continue to decline, but ethereum and bitcoin will still coexist as a POPULAR digital currency

This is never been good idea to sell your good stock just for new project but if you're able to do work and check team product and vision then just keep eye and invest small amount is also not bad because it's part of trading and this can give you some better profit as well.

About Solana even it's technological very good but still we need to check is this good for long term and can handle large volumes without snags because for replacing Ethereum and Cardano it's need some good time as these are very established platforms. Please never effect just by the price movement because It's never been a good idea.

Honestly no, I don't see this as a good idea, although i don't deny that sol has really surprise many of us and even exceed the expectations of many but btc and eth are the two most recognised coins in crypto, trusted and reliable to some extent,  selling them for sol is not a wise decision at this point when sol already pumped so high, supposing the investment on sol was at it's earliest stage I won't object. Better to invest on sol with new capital and keep btc and eth.

Maybe, but not yet imo. Wait for the bull peak, then convert eth/btc to stablecoin, and wait for the bear market crash,

I won't do it, selling ETH or BTC to buy SOL isn't a good idea. If we want to buy SOL, it should use the capital/funds from another source. BTC and ETH are the best coins to keep on wallets, they are the safest and most promising coins in the future. If there is an uptrend again in the near future, I bet these two coins to increase faster than others. Especially Bitcoin, it is the first coin to trigger whether to have uptrend season or downtrend season.

I will not think about that, selling my Bitcoin and Ethereum to buy SOL.
I know that SOL may be a good or promising project, but there are no better positive things or reasons why I should better choose SOL than BTC or ETH.
So far, I know that these two coins are the website and top coins. I will better to keep my BTC and ETH or until it reached the target, then selling some of them to take profits. But I am not thinking to buy SOl with that profit because I have other plans for other coins or will only cash out my profits for some reason.

I think it will be a big risk that you will accept, but it is a decision, if I were you I would wait and see what progress will happen to the coin, considering that the coin is a newly launched coin, of course trading is not stable compared to ETH and BTC, use your funds well, I don't mean to forbid you from buying these coins, it just takes patience to get profits

for now because my previous experience will not be affected by issues or price movements of new coins in the market, let alone having to sell assets such as ethereum and bitcoin, I think it is a bad idea to sell assets just because you want to invest in new coins that are not clear

This was not the smartest idea, for me. Instead of selling my BTC, why not set another capital for Solana, which I think was the best thing to do.

Don't get fooled and become greedy for you to see that Solana is really in huge pump and do you think that you can still catch the good price of Solana again? Honestly, it was late already to invest in Solana, they are already in hypes and it was risky when you bought this time. Maybe if you have seen it in its early days and to sacrifice seeling your BTC OP is good but not this time.

yes, I think solana is the newest digital currency issued since April 2020, I think it is still the latest release even though solana has been around for a year when compared to cardano. but that's not what I want to convey to you, if you intend to choose some coins that you want to invest then you should never be influenced by new coins that have high prices, because it is possible to fall back more than before. but look at cardano, the price is growing bigger from year to year and provides the best value for ADA holders, do you believe what I say?

because of the popularity of SOL now I think playing for the short and medium-term is the best choice. maybe some fully believe in the progress of SOL. but in the future, we will never know what will happen to this project.
having all three doesn't hurt, but selling the ETH and BTC we have for SOL, I don't think it's the best option.

solona is still very new. sometimes people feel hesitant to enter solona. that's because the hype is very strong, especially for a project that sells with the solona network. they soon found a good market.
if have more ETH I guess it's ok to share it with solona to keep up with the market hype. quite an attractive strategy for short profits. because solona is still a lot of development.
