There are lots of coins in the market that are trending now, such as shibainu, Solana , as so many of them.
I believe there are word investing your money in even Italian is also a good crypto currency that you can invest in at this time.

I will not mark the specific coin for this month. But I guess if the bitcoin hold the price above 50k or try to overtake 60k during this month I think most of the altcoins start pump huge which was pumped few days ago while btc reaching new ATH. But we should focus only the coins which is top ranked right now. And if Btc start to bearish again we can see most of alts are huge dump.

In October, the price of Bitcoin exceeded $54k. The price of almost all coins has risen this month. I trust Bitcoin the most.  Because this is the engine of crypto train. All altcoins depend on these coins. BTC has the very potential to grow in the future.

I think it's normal for Ethereum since we will some upcoming huge development update in the last year but i never expect fantom will doing some good performance, Even the BTC was rising looks like those two really doing some good development and performance lately, Beside you should check arweave and sol it's also good lately.

As always many altcoins followed Bitcoin's growth. I closely watched Shiba Inu pumping up to 70 to 90 percentage from regular price in last few days. I am sure those who invested, might have earned a good profit out of it. Hope this bull run continues and we again see a new ATH by end of this month. Its really good to see we are back on track after just few months. 2021 is just awesome for crypto lovers and investors.

By the looks of it it could become shiba. I am not saying that it will not drop or it will continue to go up but the bottom to peak difference will probably be highest in shiba. This is especially difficult for me to accept because I dislike shiba a lot, I believe that it was just a cash grab by the creators, they wanted to take advantage of the Doge increase and they made so much money from this as well, so it is just a token that was created to make the project founders rich and nothing else.

However to be honest, it did went up over 200%+ in a single week so far, could go heck a lot higher if it keeps this up, every day it continues to go up, or it could crash but at least their peak of the month will still be the highest if you ask me. I do not see any other coin having 200%+ returns for the month, it could happen but I doubt it.

No doubt October might just be the month bitcoin reaches it ATH again, October has been really good from bitcoin to Shiba (even though its a shitcoin) etc, personally I have faith in coins like Near, atom, sol, these three are exceptional and will pump massively soon, but one coin I have more faith in is Near, the reason is because near has so much potentialls to pump in the long run, with sol pumping up to $200 I think Near has the potential to get to $100, I believe its very my possible for that to happen, near will massive soon.

But do you think these SHIB holders are selling it already?
I guess most of them are still waiting for this token to be pumped more.
But they really should be careful in holding this token, because if the hype is gone, they will be holding worthless tokens.

October I think will be a good month, market is recovering and likely to continue. Of course, there would still be some down turns so you have to be careful of the sudden price drops every few hours or so. just as a short trade I will agree with this token. Shiba experienced a tremendous increase in trading volume this month. but I don't really like SHIB tokens for me to trade or invest. this is like everyone's view on dogecoin a few years ago.
this month I prefer AXS and SLP. coincidentally in this month's pump rally, I had it. and profit I get.
I think some DeFi projects will be trending in October until the end of the year.

I just suffered a little heart attack when i read your post above and that ethereum is at 4500 $ then i quickly checked coinmarketcap and sadly you just had a typo there. To your question what the best performing altcoin in october may be, i think that this will be a completely new project that is not even listed yet. Sometimes those new projects are doing insane price rallies right after the listing if it is a hyped project that everybody wants to be a part of.

LOL, I also immediately checked CMC, and saw the price of ethereum which was still in the $3500 range. I think I've been missing it all this time 
for good altcoins planted this month, well the choice is still on popular coins such as ethereum, bnb, polygon, ADA, XRP, and others. however, these popular coins are not only good to hold this month, but also the next month or year.
especially this month, it looks like the shiba is the first coin to be discussed. well, so far, only popular coins I can think of. for other altcoins, the risk is quite high, but I'm sure there are many coins that have potential this month as well.

It is really hard to predict the most performing one. You never know what cryptocurrency will rise at the highest rate compared to the other ones. For now, I believe in Ethereum price to make it happen. It has a big potential and it can show a part of its potential as we are in a great period now. I would like to see the price breaking the $4k resistance and move on till reaching $5k at least.

Aside from ETH, ADA, LTC, BNB being one of the strong contenders, I'm also extremely bullish on Stakenet's XSN right now. I highly recommend you guys to analyze how solid this project is. Low market cap and a super bargain price. The devs are currently working on the Layer 3 Stakenet Dex (combination of Lightning and Connext networks) which is going to be available soon.

Altcoin is so broad we have to be specific where we would like to get information in detail. One example are NFT's I have seen 2 NFT coins bought at a lower price then suddenly pumped when the game started and it was hype.
I bought them both and regularly checking their price and also taking advantage of the movement. One was bought for $0.4 which is DPET coins and suddenly pumped to almost $8 I think and I sold at $5 mark. Now, it dropped again so I am already ROI plus profit and may make more from playing the game.
The other coin was bought for $8 a piece and pumped to $20 where I also sold it to take my ROI again and I still have NFT's inside that could be profitable for so many months or years.
