Hey guys,

I run an ETH miner with 4 RTX 3090s on Windows.

I usw MSI Afterburner to tune the cards.
On 2 of them this works fine.

The other 2 behave weird.
From one of them I get only 116 MHs at 280 Watts and +1000 Memory.

If I set the Powerlimit to whatever above 280 the card still only consumes 280 watts.
Usually if I raise the PL the card also takes more.
And even if I set Memory +1300 the card is still stuck at 280 watts and 116 MHs.

Same with the other card, but even worse. The powerconsumption of the second card jumps from 230 to 280 watts, on matter what I set in Afterburner. And I only get 105 MHs.
No matter which options I change, the card doesn‘t even respond to changes.

Powerdelivery is not a problem and memory temps are lower than 90 Celsius.

I have no idea why two of the cards don‘t respond to changes I do in Afterburner.

Try using just T-rex command line options to limit power and set OC's.  Compared to Afterburner it is a much more stable solution.

I run linux but a lot of folks are finding that T-rex is able to manage the cards fine in the windows/t-rex vs windows/t-rex/afterburner.

Afterburner is only good for gaming applications. Don't use it for mining since the profile for multi GPU is horrible. Heck, the thing still sometimes gives me errors on my gaming PC like custom fan profiles fail to load properly. If you running something 24/7, a command line miner/oc on Linux based is much more stable and less likely to have a shutdown or failure over time.

A friend had the exact same problem with four RTX3090s, everything turned around when I helped him install hiveOS and leave windows OS behind, it seems like afterburner starts working weird once you gives the GPUs different memory clock settings but things works better in hiveOS
