Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Eying NFT!!!

what is most intriguing is the constant influx of big companies like Gamestop, Ubisoft, Square Enix etc coming into nft.
Anyone interested in seeing GTA NFT very soon? 

I wouldn't say I'm interested, but definitely I'm pretty sure GTA players will be, and they are the target audience for now. It's no surprise how big corporations are getting involved, mind you that when there is hype around something, if you can find a way to make profit from it then you sure have to do it, and that's what this companies are doing, and you know most hypes do not last for too long, except of course if there is an indispensable use case surrounding it, thus this companies would probably be thinking that this is the right time to jump at this and make profits cause this hype isn't guaranteed to last 'forever'.

I am sure and convinced that there will be a buyer and a fan of this cult game, because I do not know a person who has not played this game at least once, and if you tie up the game for NFT, then it will be a success, we are waiting for the announcement.

I like NFTs and idea behind this stuff.
But I think it's a bit absurd that people are focusing their efforts just in "the next novelty to make big money"... as we have seen this is just a scheme to draw money from people that doesn't understand the real innovation related bitcoin and blockchain... a lots of big company have launched their NFT just for pocketing more money.
At the end, after selling NFTs, they are exchanging in FIAT and who knows maybe in bitcoin   it is not a small detail they are not investing in other NFTs

This is good for NFT world, although Take-Two is not introducing NFTs now but they have a future plan and this will definitely boost the popularity of NFTs and will also attract other big players and also competitors to adopt NFTs.
I will be looking forward to how NFTs will be used in GTA.

NFT was proof of ownership and you will not able to do that. I guess even if GTA will be implementing NFT on its game and it will need  you to own NFT token that will prove you to be the real owner of such NFT.

Lol this is not the concept of NFT. If someone will be able to pay the rarest weapon and whatever you wanna do and he can always destroy you. The concept of NFT to be personal asset and this can be owned but i think the you can trade your NFT in game.

Of course, there will be some who are mostly in just for the money while some are here to make a difference with this new trend, just like the dot com era, many companies were up during that period but only the genuine ones stayed behind or survived.
Companies like McDonald's have even gone as far as filing 12 trademarks for a virtual restaurant according to Finbold.com, I think some of these companies are taking this trend seriously and here to create virtual world.

The article talks about some of the biggest game studios including Ubisoft and Square Enix as having plans for blockchain games. This may seem bullish to some but don't forget that these are rich, centralized studios that have to turn a profit above anything else.

The idea of giving players actual control over their gaming items will not be implemented till it becomes profitable for them. It is nothing more than a passing fad at present. As far as the statements about using "PoS" chains is concerned, i doubt that they have any other option. The whole industry has now moved to centralized solutions which allow companies to cling to the "blockchain" narrative.

So even though this will be nothing in the spirit of decentralization, it sure is something that the game studios see as a new marketing opportunity.

While this is interesting I just wonder how it will work in practice. Lets take PlayStation for example. Currently if you buy a character you redeem a code and it unlocks in the game, but the transaction happens in the PlayStation store. If they make NFTs in the game, how would that be redeemed in the PlayStation store? Furthermore NFTs will trade outside of the PlayStation store which would mean revenue leakage for Sony. If Rockstar sells the NFTs on their site for example, things could get interesting especially if Sony does not like that model.

The fact that Grand Theft Auto is the first open world game and a game with a huge fanbase was a really good approach. After Ubisoft's move, all game companies turned their attention to this direction. In fact, I think these companies have already done their research and investments. It would be very interesting if there were limited in-game items in games like GTA.

This is good. I heard that some big companies are also eyeing NFT and it's not only this. BANK is also preparing to join in the metaverse and this will relate to the NFT as well. I hope that blizzard will be also coming to the NFT. It's good to see if DOTA will be combined with NFT. Any in game item can be bought easily using crypto. As long as NFT keep booming and NFT will be big soon.
Those big gaming companies will bring NFT to the another level. Massive adoption and free advertisement. that will make NFT become massive very soon.

Am not surprised that GTA is showing interest in this space considering the number of big companies that keep jumping into the ntf train lately, Grand Theft Auto also want a piece of the pie,

Right now they've only shown interest in the ecosystem with concerns that are understandable,  so let's hope whenever they decide to launch their nft to the public it will benefit both metaverse and crypto ecosystem in the end. And am a big fan of GTA as well so I will be looking forward to what they will bring to the table.

Any popular game that is already established will have a huge fan following and if they enter the NFT space selling merchandise, collectibles or even playable, it will sell out faster and it will be one of a kind rare collection die hard gamers. The only aspect i am waiting right now is that when a major gaming company starts experimenting with P2E games.

I really don't know if NFT is a good investment.
In a few years, nobody will want to buy such pictures.
Why should someone still pay high prices for such pictures? And every day, new pictures are launched.
It really doesn't make sense and is very high risk.

Better buy coins because coins will have a high demand later.

Im think its good idea if all items can be transferable, and in future most of games will use nft. After it will, it will look like world market.
And its rly good, i hope it will! Coz im playing a lot of games, and in some we cant trade, its limited  and its so pity
