How could anyone envy that, and how could anyone not feel shameful for being one?

I am not entirely sure if this should be even allowed. I know that many people think I am just a hardcore leftist, communist person for saying this out loud. However, I dislike communism as much as I like unchecked capitalism as well. Why I believe it should not even be allowed? When you have things that worth as much as 200+ billion dollars, you are gathering wealth that you will never need, but it is also not cash that you could pay taxes from neither, it is stocks, just stocks that people valuate that much.

I am pretty sure if you checked how much money Elon or Jeff has, in cash, literally cash in bank, it is probably not even 1 billion dollars combined. So, what do we do? We don't know how long he will maintain being the wealthiest man on earth. But what I know for sure is that it will not be permanent. The position whatever it may be, is replaceable. Anything can happen any time. There's always a possibility that someone will dethrone him from the spot he is currently in depending on the perseverance of the person and the resources as well.

Always remember that the world is round. You could be at the top now, but there's still a chance you will hit rock bottom the next second. It may sound negative but it's true. You can always bounce back though. Getting up and doing better the next time is always a choice. After all, we learn valuable lessons each time we stumble and fall.

Only Elon knows if he will be able to maintain his position or not. Maybe for now, we can totally say that Elon is capable of sustaining his spot because he has the wealth and has variety of investments that keeps giving him huge returns. As I said when it comes to those rich people most of their money is on paper assets and their own companies, and just as you suggest things are not looking good for the economy right now with all the problems we are facing with supply issues, the slow economic recover and the pandemic which is still ongoing.

This means that in the case a global crisis were to emerge a great deal of the wealth of Elon Musk will evaporate, fortunately for him if his companies are still holding bitcoin then the potential damage he could face will be reduced in a significant way.

The op is saying that Elon Musk added extra $23 billion to his wealth, and is as rich as Bill Gates and Warren Buffett combined together, not that his worth is only $23 billion; currently he is worth over $200 billion. If Satoshi Nakamoto happens to be on that list, he’s not going to make the top ten list of the world’s richest people, rather he would be somewhere around the top twenty list.

The least on the top ten is worth over $100 billion dollars. I would put Satoshi around 16th on the list of the richest people. But that’s still a good position, and in the future he’s likely to be worth more than this as the value of Bitcoin will keep increasing in future.

We do not have that much money right now that we could attribute it to people who are rich right now, it is the future we are talking about. One day someone will come up with something new, a new technology, a brand new idea, something that will shock the world, for maybe a decade or even longer he will just be selling pieces of his company to keep making it better and eventually he will worth over a trillion dollars.

All that can be said about Elon Musk's current position is that his wealth is based on the huge capitalization of his company. And the current capitalization of Tesla is not the real activity and profit of the company, but what kind of profit investors expect from the company in the future, which in itself is a rather risky event. The market is a rather unpredictable and chaotic thing, so it is almost impossible to make strictly defined forecasts, but if Tesla cannot maintain its growth rates, then this will inevitably affect the capitalization of the company and, accordingly, the condition of Elon Musk, unless Elon has time to sell his shares profitably and start a new promising project

I doubt if Buffet misses the opportunity to make more money from crypto because, as an entrepreneur and one of the richest people, he will get advice from people around him about crypto and invest in crypto secretly.
