Hi guys. My wife and I came to the Philippines in 2019 because the west became too restricted for us. In 2020, we started a small construction company (fully licensed and registered) in Mindoro/Southern Luzon and have built several houses for foreigners here in the meantime. Land ownership is (like in many other countries) not possible for non-citizens, but there are legal alternatives. The people are peaceful and most of them speak English well. The landscape and the beaches are magnificent. Although there is a noticeable increase in foreign investors during the last 12 months, there are still some beautiful beachfront properties or farmland available.

If someone is interested to get out of the madness in Europe or the US, let me know in a PM. We can help with a permanent residency and can design and build anything from a small dwelling to a multi-story villa for very reasonable prices and within a short period. Cheers

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Hey, you should move this topic to the services section especially if you accept BTC as payment for building and helping out (plus other cryptocurrencies). There are some threads asking about how much is this/that in BTC in your country lately.

I'm not gonna ask for specifics on how it's done but I hope you're doing it the legal way.

Anyway, it must have been the perfect place to spend during this whole pandemic.

edit: Services board - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0
You can find the option to move topic at the bottom left.

don't take it the wrong way. the forum doesn't moderate scams and for that reason, the forum gets a lot of scam posts claiming that they are offering services or selling digital goods, etc...
the members here are cautious with possible scams that's why they are always suspicious of new posts offering services that lack information about the service that they are offering or the business.

Noted! The idea to post here just came up because we invested in BTC a few years back and hodl. It would be great to have a community here in the future. We have good and fast internet infrastructure on most of the island, clean and free water, and fertile land (if one is into farming).

I know better places for living in Europe, but there isn't any madness-free zone in the world now, and I don't think we can really escape and hide in some cave or island anymore.
Not sure what's the situation with Bitcoin there but that is also important know, how easy is to trade BTC and buy/sell stuff with it.

I’m from Philippines and I’m not aware that there is a law about permanent residency  for foreigners here unless you will marry some locals here. There is really a lot of foreigners recently investing onma property but most of them has a Filipino partner. Those pure foreighner family has only allowable time for staying here. Can provide the procedure of your service in details.

FYI, there is a lot of foreigners here already got scam by purchasing properties from scammer. Many people selling property of random free spot here and faked the land title. I hope everyone should be very cautious on this kind of deal.

You are suggesting that madness in Philippines is less than in other parts of the world, but I heard some terrible things and threats their president Duterte is saying all the time.
I am a Filipino and I can certainly say that the president is a mouthful. that being said, despite all the terrible things that he says, he is by far better than the previous presidents who are just pretending to be a good guy. also, I am pretty sure there are far better options besides the Philippines. other than almost everything here is cheap(at least for foreigners), life here can be peaceful and relaxing especially if you are in a province.

Not sure what's the situation with Bitcoin there but that is also important know, how easy is to trade BTC and buy/sell stuff with it.
bitcoin is not illegal here and there are some stores that accept it. as for trading bitcoin, you can use pdax, binance or coins.ph to trade or exchange your BTC. there are also bitcoin ATMs here.

Well, for once, there is the Special Investor Resident Visa (SIRV). Pretty much the same that many other countries offer. https://www.philembassy.no/consular-services/visa/special-investors-resident-visa-sirv

Secondly, the Philippines offers something unique. Which is a Special Resident Retiree’s Visa. We have many friends who got their permanent residency through this authority. https://pra.gov.ph/srrv/

Good that you mentioned that. I was just about to talk about Coins.ph. We use it all the time. It is very fast and convenient.

Now we're talking. Why don't you fix the OP and add those details (SIRV and SRRV)?

You are suggesting that madness in Philippines is less than in other parts of the world, but I heard some terrible things and threats their president Duterte is saying all the time.
I am a Filipino and I can certainly say that the president is a mouthful. that being said, despite all the terrible things that he says, he is by far better than the previous presidents who are just pretending to be a good guy.
He sure is Grin I can't blame foreigners from thinking bad about our President because that's how he's portrayed by some news organizations.

If I'm not mistaken, more concrete roads and bridges were built, completed, and under construction under his leadership than all the past five Presidents combined. Not to mention the closure and clean up of the world renowned Boracay Island. The removal of decades of trash along Manila Bay and its rehabilitation.

To be clear, it's not recognized as a legal tender but exchanges are regulated by the Central Bank (KYC verification required).
