I would consider myself serious social gambler as i am not making living with gambing but it has almost became part of my daily life and because of this i see many highs and lows in my daily life. That's a serious life right there and in that case, you may also belong to Compulsive Gamblers since the majority of the gamblers fall under this category.
Money drying up always stop the kind of lifestyle and then eventually they tend to find a job like my uncle who only remembers to come to visit when he needs money.

Consider myself a Casual Gambler although I normally just bet on sports events. I may occasionally go on blackjack or dice but it may only happen if I'm commuting by train or someplace very boring.

I just play gambling if theres a free time not all the time is an ideal thing play to me just a casual gambler would like to play and entertain myself if I lose it part of the game if I win that's good I enjoy at the same time I earn a profit on it.  Most of the time I bet on the sports game and e-sports world because i really like supporting my favourite team. Also i set a limit to my self there's a designated amount to gamble this is the reason why i just play only a few times in a week.

In this case, when you see what you describe in your thread, maybe I belong to an ordinary social gambler, because indeed I am more suited to be in that classification.
I'm not too used to gambling and think this is just a game.
As for the profit I got, I consider it a bonus and the loss from gambling is actually a risk and something that must be paid in gambling.

After reading some of the character types of someone who is involved in gambling, maybe everyone has their own type of awareness so far including which type of gambling they belong to.

After I pondered the extent to which I am currently in gambling.
But I can say that I currently fall into the following types of groups.

Casual Social Gamblers
                    These are like Social drinkers who take alcohol on special occasions. These kind of gamblers prefer gambling as a way to have fun with friends. Winning is not the ultimate with these gamblers. They allocate fund and enjoy using it.

You can be sure, with the above reasons maybe I have spent a few dollars in the world of gambling, sometimes I can win and lose, which of course I do but use all of it for fun, not for a living.

More like I fall on the Casual Social Gamblers category but likely to be more secluded and in this age of online gambling I guess that's how way to put a casual social gambler, eh? I do like to gamble just for the fun of leisure and way to cope with stress and just spent the money I can afford to lose, a $100 was that huge I guess haha. Aren't there are many types of gamblers not on the category yet? Like mixed up or other behaviors.

I think i'm part of the Serious Social Gamblers and the Casual Social Gamblers somewhere in between these two, I enjoy betting with other gamblers but at the same time when my winnings stack up, it slowly affects me in a negative way like losing a bit of sleep just to watch the game i'm betting on. I can still quickly fix the negative parts before it gets out of hand so it doesn't really bother me that much but I get those scenarios every now and then due to my greediness.

I don't know which category fits the description of the type of gambler. But for sure I am not a pro gambler. Even though it has been gambling for many years it is still difficult to place yourself on any of the above characteristics. Maybe more precisely, just ordinary gamblers can and don't want to be those who claim to be ordinary for a game that is only for entertainment.

I am not one of those as I do not use gambling for any purpose except just to have fun. But in the past, I think I am Conservative Gambler but fortunately, I can end that before I get too deep in gambling. I am now trying to control myself when I play gambling because I do not want to become addicted to gambling, which can make me in trouble. Many people are still trying out gambling because they feel that they have become addicted to gambling. We must stop it before gambling ruins our lives.

I personally believe that I'm a type of casual gambler. As for me, gambling is to be enjoyed and not to endured. We are supposed to enjoy it instead of suffering from our losses. I just gamble whenever I want to enjoy it or whenever I feel like I miss doing it despite having a busy life. I don't focus too much on it because I don't want to fall for gambling addiction. Reading the description of the different types of gambler by OP's thread I could see myself fall on the category of Relief and Escape Gamblers and Casual Social gamblers also I am thinking if I do see myself too in a compulsive gambler since OP have had mentioned that most of the gambler fall in this type of category. But I know in myself that I gamble whenever I have only a free time and with a limited amount of money to be used.

Maybe my gambling is more of a casual social gambler, because I often spend time on weekends with friends playing real gambling.
and the gambling played is playing cards, dominoes and also dice and everything is played for real while enjoying a bottle of beer while having fun.
This activity is often carried out on weekends because we can only meet on weekends, I think it is very fun because our bets are not concerned with winning but more than being together and playing while joking.

Conservative Gamblers
                    There is a certain group of people who wish to try everything. Conservative gamblers fall under this, because these gamblers want to try and experience what is in it. Here some turn to be problematic gamblers and gets addicted.

I reread the whole thread and it seems that this is what I am .
A conservative gambler and luckily didn't turned out to be a problematic gambler and got addicted.

I knew from the start already that gambling can be addictive and can lead into serious things or worst, you can do bad things to other people and to yourself. I'm just curious into what other gamblers are feeling whenever they are betting so I tried it and bet only a few bucks. I'm lucky maybe that I didn't get addicted into gambling and I managed to stop it immediately.

I think I belong to the "Relief and escape gambler" and "Conservative gambler" since whenever I do get bored, I always want to try something different, that could ease my boredom even just for a short period of time. But I never got addicted to gambling, knowing your limits is a must to prevent that to happen. The worst type of gambling you could become is the type of gambler that doesn't eat, bath, or any physical activities because of his addiction.

Unfortunately almost all the types of gamblers must be getting into compulsive type over the time because when we continue into something for considerable period of time then we will get addicted to it.

In my opinion there will be no possibility of professional gamblers to be existing unless otherwise you are having some backdoor information of hitting target. Otherwise you must have quit gambling just after profit making and then you have declared yourself as a professional gambler because you are in profits.

I am a "casual non-social gambler" as I gamble online and from my home and I gamble for free and bet for profit making; this way I never consider my sportsbetting as gambling but it is more than trading in my view.

Could you explain with examples what is so bad about gamblers who want to be on top and their goal is money? In my opinion, these are quite reasonable desires. And I must point out that people who move forward no matter what often make discoveries and change the industry in which they put their efforts. They are very different from the non-passionate majority.

Professional gamblers prefer the legal system. This means they get to the casino or to the club. They spend and make money. Here if they experience loss, they wait for the opportunity. If they weren't able to make it, they take break.

With personality gamblers. They want to make money, through what way it comes doesn't matter. This makes him prefer illegal ways. For example hiding the cards, having a set of cards, deviating the opponents, etc. This mostly happens while playing as groups on the countryside.

If you want to play fair, then forget about the casino altogether - the institution has an advantage and it is impossible to beat it. That is, with such a condition, the category of "professionals" is absent - you cannot earn money in unprofitable activities. But obvious crime should not be classified as gambling either - it is illegal activity and I think it all should be outside these categories under discussion. I think casual gambler category fits better for me. Gambling is not an essential activity in my life, what means I don't need to be constantly betting to feel satisfied, but I can enjoy it occasionally, especially if there are another people around to share the experience and talk about gambling games, what strategies they use, what teams/players they think are worth to be picked.

After reading the definition of conservative gambler from the article mentioned, I think I also include myself on that category, because the focus of this kind of gambler is the experience, while using a modest budget to play (risk aversion). For that reason it is also noticeable problematic of addicted gamblers are not among conservative gamblers, because the characteristics among these groups are totally opposite.

I probably belong to the casual social gamblers because I can refrain from gambling long enough and consider playing poker or slots just for fun. Of course I get upset when I lose, but these emotions go away quickly without any consequences for me or my family.
