The multiple chain dex paraswap are very close from launching their governance token, and people start speculating about an airdrop and who will be eligible for getting it.

The problem is that currently there is arround 1 million adress connected to the platform and many of them just used the platform to get their selves qualified to the drop

The founder will surly make some criteria for the people to get the share of tokens but i wonder what it will be

Is this not the goal of a particular airdrop?
Like for example, a project will conduct an airdrop for users of their platform, there are a lot of past events like especially the Uniswap and dYdx.
These decentralized exchanges did airdrop for their users before (specific time frame).
By this move, they can assure a lot of people will know their platform and this is kind of advertisement.

well , usually its a snapshot time , how to cheat the time frame ? , and probably its not same like uniswap , we know uniswap give 400 UNI to every elegible wallet , but this one must be different , which probably the more u trading, the more u get. If founder crazy enough ,he maybe included the specific thing like the wallet must be wallet who received UNI before or another.

I see this, that's why dydx airdrop has been some qualifications for people who will be eligible to receive airdrop. It's like increasing the minimum volume trade that must be done on paraswap and many more.

I think that you can try to take the criterias that has been used by old dex airdrop like dydx, 1inch and uniswap. This will give you a small insight about what will be the requirements that must be done to be eligible for airdrop. Im sure that this would become the requirements

1. You might have done a trade at least xxxx amounts in USD.
2. You might have done it before the date xx-xx-xxxx

I don't think that such condition will be considered but the founder will not make it easy for people who used the platform only for getting the airdrop, polygon make it easy to use any dex with multiple wallets without losing any fees and that's why we have this crazy number of wallets connected to the dex

They saw what happened with Uniswap and they want to make sure they are a part of the airdrop once it happens. I am not into Paraswap but am wishing that eventually the management will decide to do so because that can make many people so happy and richer. These days, wealth can be generated a lot with the cryptocurrency industry as we are now bringing more value to things we are doing online.

I agree with that, people are already hoping for an airdrop that can make them rich or at least give em a good capital to do more things that can make em rich too, currently no one know what will happen, the launch seems very soon and some people said that the contract is already live, everyone keeo waiting for a massive airdrop or a massive disappointment

Dex airdrops always make a hype and increase traffic and im pretty sure that paraswap will make it happen very soon, the problem is that we have almost 1 million adress and 2% of addresses mad 80% of the volume as the founder already said, it will be very hard to choose the criteria that will lead to a fair distribution

Paraswap is a serious project, it is one of the best DEX aggregator. I use it on my own, I think that now is the high time to increase your activity on this platform so as to get airdrop of their token that has been practically launched.

It wasn't just about early users but the filtering was heavy, many other things like number of transactions, related address, volume, multiple chain and even the tokens swapped on the platform

There still some dex exchanges that face the same problem and i wonder how they will deal with airdrop hunters once they launch their tokens

Yeah that was a huge airdrop, bigger than uniswap and DYDX and all other retroactive airdrops but unfortunately i wasn't eligible for it, the token reached almost 1 billion marketcap in the first trading days and i wonder what will be the price with further listings snd updates

Never heard of the exchange.

But about airdrops, people have learned about new projects having airdrops and they're just putting balance to their addresses before the snap shot happens.

And when it's done, they're going to remove it and will just have to wait for the airdrop. Whatever the criteria is, I think it's just going to be about the snapshot.

Yeah that was a huge airdrop, bigger than uniswap and DYDX and all other retroactive airdrops but unfortunately i wasn't eligible for it, the token reached almost 1 billion marketcap in the first trading days and i wonder what will be the price with further listings snd updates

that was bigger than dydx probably but others were way successful and they even sent to a lot people unlike paraswap who only filtered out around 20k addresses, they had to it though since most of them were airdrop hunters, but there were legit users who didn't get the airdrop which sucks, especially knowing that some airdrop hunters got away with and you didn't get anything.

I disagree on this part. The team use a type of filtering to determine the legit user meaning the eligible participants should be active all through out the year which make sense since airdrop hunter will obviously just do couple of quick trade before the snapshot then move on and stop using the exchange. On the other hand, A legit trader on Paraswap will normally trade more often daily or every week. The purpose of airdrop is to reward those user who's genuinely supporting the exchange through actively trading and contributing on exchange.

I don't know if there's really a legit user who actively trade on paraswap that will not get an airdrop unless they are buying and just holding for a long time which doesn't make sense since they are using a new exchange.

Wow, never heard of this DEX even though it has been there for a long time now and I guess the team effort to filter those who just want to airdrop during the last minute is surely a good move. Hoping those dedicated users who really used the platform for a long time now will get thousands of dollars, that's huge. What a life changing airdrop.

That's the result of the hype created by airdrops. Airdrop is basically free money. Of course you will be asked to do this and that. But those are small tasks in exchange for tokens. So the tokens are basically free. Because the tasks are pretty little and do not require money, much effort, time, etc, airdrops become very prone to abuses and spam. But the devs do not necessarily hate this because this will create a very high traffic on their site or platform.

But because there are too many participants, I think they will either resort to first come first served basis until airdrop tokens last or they will divide the airdrop tokens to all of them.
