Exchanges will always charge high fee, exchanges do charge fees that can get the transaction confirmed in time and in addition charge extra fee which is very high. They have fix fee, so it actually got become expensive when those fee of coins increase in price. I don't know they depend on the same fees as before which should be change since the token also change price. But let's remember that it will quite hard to implement a change for this from time to time since the market is also volatile. Not sure which one has the smallest fee when withdrawal, as far as I know binance already got a small fee compared to others.

I don't think that there is a solution to the high Ethereum fees now that ethereum is volatile and that is one factor leading to high fee. I think what you can do is to look for exchanges charging lower than the other and I believe the higher volume an exchange creates or has that can determine the high fees.

But let's remember that it will quite hard to implement a change for this from time to time since the market is also volatile. Not sure which one has the smallest fee when withdrawal, as far as I know binance already got a small fee compared to others.

This will be easy for programmers to do, to have an exchange fee in relation to the normal fee that will be paid to miners, but exchanges would not like such because they are gaining more due to volatility as bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are reaching all-time-high.

From the above link, Binance is not the the exchange with lowest fee but it is still better to many of those exchanges as some exchanges charge over $50 and $100 with ethereum at $4300

The fee hasn't been that high while making use of noncustododial wallet in a way all fee will go to miners that include the transaction into a block. But exchanges having fixed price in the coin and not in fiat that fluctuates is the issue, or having fixed price in the coin while making it fluctuates with the mempool in a way they will still have their own percentage gain.

Haha Binance were earlier charging a fixed fee for all the withdrawals but with recent congestion on the Ethereum network exchanges don't take this risk, instead they have made the fees option to variable which means the fees would depend upon the network fees and some small portion of fees for Binance so the fees you see on the exchange while withdrawal is Actually the fees of Ethereum network, Binance can't do anything about it, it you use the network ERC20 using MEW to transfer ETH still the fees would be high.

We currently don't have solutions for that but there are some alternatives in doing transactions such as using Binance Smart Chain (BSC) to make alternative transactions. Honestly, I haven't used Ethereum wallet for a while because of the high transaction fee especially if you're having a micro transaction, sometimes the fee is much expensive than the actual transaction.

Binance can't do anything about it, it you use the network ERC20 using MEW to transfer ETH still the fees would be high.

Did you mean binance does not charge excessively? I do not think so. If you can be able to make use of mempool observer, there are times the mempool will be less congested, the fee will be cheaper at the time, also the on-chain fee is often cheaper than exchange fee. Let me use bitcoin as an example, Binance is charging 0.0005 BTC, at a price of $60000, that is around $30 as fee when I still pay less than $2 as fee few days ago, it depends on the mempool.

We currently don't have solutions for that but there are some alternatives in doing transactions such as using Binance Smart Chain (BSC) to make alternative transactions.

If you are making use of BSC, you are not having the real coin. I will prefer to hold the real coin than making use of any other chain. But the fee is indeed low.

Probably the chipset option is to exchange to a coin with low withdraw fee like Litecoin and then transfer it to Crypto.com exchange, which has now one of the lowest withdraw fees and swap to ETH then send it to your wallet.
I know its one more step but that way you will save 10 $ or more.

Some ERC20 got high fees in exchanges, it is fact that we must take. That is why nowadays people start to change to another chain like BSC or Tron or any chain which cost less fees to make transaction. I think if must use high fee and trade less than $10, it is not really worth to do.

The exchange with the cheapest ETH transaction fees I know of is FTX. These exchanges have very low transaction fees, and depending on ETH gas at the time, the lower the gas the cheaper the transaction fees will be.

Convert it to something else and then withdraw. Don't use expensive chains for withdrawals or transactions. There isn't any other possible solution for that problem. Use doge, ltc, usdt whatever is cheap. If you want to withdraw ETH and ETH only; then you are out of luck. Just abandon it altogether and find something cheaper because apparently you are not meant to use eth. It is only for those who can afford to use it.

It's because there are no definite solution for the high gas fees by ETH.

All we have is just work around, but still it covers some money before we can make a withdrawal. Bitcoin is way cheaper that Ethereum, it will just cost less that a dollar to do a transaction with 1 input -> 1 output.

This is the sad part of Ethereum, yes, I know it's a good investment, but how can you make profits when the withdrawals fees are so expensive?

From my point of view, the only way right now to make Ethereum transaction cheaper is to make Ethereum cheap. As the transaction amount is a number of gwei, make Ethereum cost $100 and the amount you spend on fees wont bother anymore. But, no one will allow Ethereum price to drop that much. Impossible to solve high transaction fees issue. The only probable solution is to use other blockchain instead and completely ignore Ethreum blockchain. Or make exchanges just to make cheaper transaction and then exchange back. But that might cause even more losses or expenses.

no, all withdrawal fees on the exchange are not much different from one another. there is no solution to this problem now, you can only surrender. compromise the current fee, or don't use the ethereum network no matter what. my advice is better don't move your ETH for now. hold it on the exchange, or sell it if you are afraid it will be hacked.

Usually the withdrawal fee is fixed for every token and decided by the exchange itself. This needs to be adjusted as often as possible because the network fees, especially the ones on the ethereum network are changing quite a bit during a few days and this is a lot of work. This way it can happen, that the withdrawal fees of exchanges are extremely high for a certain token because for example the price of the token increased, then the fixed withdrawal fee needs to be adjusted. So you just need to check from time to time.

You can try to use FTX. This is the best exchange site right not as you will be getting some discounts when you're sending ethereum or ethereum assets but when it comes to the blockchain with cheap transaction fees and it will charge you zero fees.

If you're withdrawing any ERC20 token, then yes, fee's are in the $50 range. But if you're withdrawing only ETH, fee's shouldn't be more than few dollars, as there's no smart contract interaction.

Just wait for the fee to go down but it seems like the fees will never go down, the only thing that you can do to find another exchange site with lower withdrawal fees. sometimes the fee fluctuates a lot and could decrease significantly, and if you’re lucky you can get really cheap at around 5 gwei or even less, maybe the fee going up because there are many NFT owners that are trying to make an auction from their NFT and willing to set the fee high because their NFT worths make the fee required feels insignificant and they don't really care about the fee at all. I think this is quite dangerous because there is a possibility that the exchange or our account is hacked, especially for now it is almost impossible to see exchanges lowering their withdrawal fees, so  high fees are something that must be faced at this time. If Op already sent the coin to the exchange to be exchanged then a high fee cannot be avoided. Sometimes I will exchange it to a coin with a lower fee and immediately withdraw it to a local exchange to be exchanged for fiat (but this is only if you want to exchange it to fiat only, otherwise it can't be done) but still have to calculate carefully, so don't get discouraged paid high fees but turned out to be paying more for doing other things.

How many ETH do you want to withdraw from your MEW?
Because last night, when I checked in my Trust Wallet, if I want to withdraw 0.2 ETH, the fee is about $13-$15 so I think that is not too high depending on the money you will get.
But I did not execute the withdrawal since the ETH price was still going down and I let my ETH stay in my Trust wallet.
If the funds are more than $1k and your fee is about $10-$50, I think that still worth withdrawing and sending it into the other wallet but that will be up to you.

I think people have always felt the same way about the hefty fees from ethereum. for now, the solution I can offer is to send your assets to FTX, and withdraw from there. however, as far as I'm concerned FTX has a pretty cheap fee for ethereum, but try to do some in-depth research on this. The complaint about eth withdrawal fees didn't start today, it has come up time and again, but there is as yet no solution to the problem, I actually believe that the reason why eth is yet to get the sort of adoption it actually should have at this time is cause of their high withdrawal fees, just like other users have said, there is no direct solution to the problem you have, though you can try other coins whenever you want to withdraw, and hope that in the future, eth network can prolly do something about their high withdrawal fees.

Sad to say but this is the problem by most ETH users and traders for almost 2 years. The huge fees had become the burden especially for small amount. Can't imagine to pay $10 for a single transaction that it only worth $50, that can really be disappointing. I'd rather not to do it and let stuck there.

The best thing to do is never send to your wallet any Ethereum or Ethereum-supported coin because that can certainly incur a high gas fees even amounting to more than $100 at times - a big shame for the cryptocurrency industry actually. I think the main reason was due to the congestion of the Ethereum Network and partly contributed by the EIP-1559 update which is resulting in 'base fee+priority fee' computation while creating a transaction on Ethereum Network and there's nothing we can do about it. Im also using Binance and you were right the fees are very high. but I found something a little bit lower than Binance and maybe other exchange too. try FTX exchange.

Thank you, this is good advice and I will try FTX, some of the exchanges that I use like Kucoin, Huobii and so on require large transaction fees, I once withdrew ethereum from Kucoin and it took up to 0.006 ETH or 2x if I used Metamask. I hope ETH adjusts the transaction gas soon to be able to stay in the top 3 rankings.

Its a fixed fees they have dude and we can't do anything about that. Most probably they charge more or less 20$ as of now and that makes sense as it was adopted years ago where Eth's just under a 1000$. I believe P2P would be good if and only if you have a good trader wanting to trade with you. The risk is high compared to exchanges. So beware.

As long as the ethereum network continues to update, there is no point in using this network. There are still no options for avoiding high transaction fees when using MyEtherWallet wallets. You just need to be patient and not use ERC-20 tokens. All exchanges are just relying on the network. If the fee for the ethereum network is that much then there's no way to lower it. Even if you look for other exchanges that you think has a lower fee, it won't do that much.
What you have to do is to look if there's another protocol or network for that token that you're about to withdraw in ERC20. This is common today that an exchange is support another protocol for that particular token as long as it's supported by them to save fees.

The cost of the Ethereum network is increasing day by day, that's how the GWEI is sometimes higher when needed and this really hurts our assets to choose the Ethereum network for transactions.
Usually the exchange applies a fee of 0.01 - 0.005 which is equivalent to $20 - $40 so it is certainly very large if we make a withdrawal on CEX.

Unfortunately ETH will always be expensive right now, exchange, non-custodial wallet, anything that you do will be expensive and there is no way to get around it. Which is why I believe that we can't find a solution for now. The solution is that ETH 2.0 could be possible to solve all of this problems and I am sure that they will at least develop it in a way that there is a good chance that we could end up with something that is cheaper.

I still do not think that unless they manage to develop it in a way that TPS is higher, then we are not going to have a long term solution even with 2.0 as well. I believe it's because the supply is dropping as lot of people locking away their ETH. Supply shock, and organization traffic through the roof. ETH gas expenses is insane, they should do something about it. But, will the fees be greatly reduced when ETH 2.0 is launched? I also think that FTX is the most reachable exchange that provides low fee and also low minimum withdrawal. I tried Binance and Kucoin but they still have higher fee.

This is not a problem with the exchanger like Binance and kucoin. They have no problem. The main problem is that the ether is free of gas. And the main reason for this increase in gas free is the increase in ether translation. Withdrawal fees were lower when UNISWAP did not have such an exchanger and transactions were low. This is not a problem with the exchanger like Binance and kucoin. They have no problem. The main problem is that the ether is free of gas. And the main reason for this increase in gas free is the increase in ether translation. Withdrawal fees were lower when UNISWAP did not have such an exchanger and transactions were low. The fees for uniswap have been much higher since its inception. The main reason for this is that uniswap has a lot more transactions. This transaction increases Ether's withdrawal fee.

Congestions still the main reason why gas fee for ETH are high. It's not the problem with the exchanges they are just following
how much the network is asking to execute the transaction that customer is requesting them to process, until now, there's no
clear information about this concern, if ETH will adjust and when it will happen.

Best not to use or not to transfer if you are not in the hurry, or you can use the exchange itself for temporary place to
hold your asset.

few days ago, I used FTX to make a withdrawal for ETH to Myetherwallet. I didn't think that the fee from FTX to MEW was only 0.001 ETH. Well, that's a very cheap fee considering that there are currently quite a number of exchanges that provide a fairly large fee for ETH. normally the ETH withdrawal fee from FTX is 0.001 ETH to 0.0025 ETH. I don't know what makes it smaller, but even when it's 0.0025 ETH, it's already very cheap compared to other exchanges. you only need to do KYC level 1 to be able to make transactions there.

As the demand and uses increase so will the density of the cloud in the network. You know, a lot of projects have been launched in the Ethereum blockchain and the number of ERC-20 smart contract projects is constantly increasing. Gas fees are increasing due to extra crowed and handling traffic.

There is no reason to blame the exchange. Though they took a high fee but, In most cases, reputed exchanges demanded a small fee to process the transactions and use the rest of the funds to boost the transactions. Because of the transaction speed is slow, the exchange will lose its customer.

They are doing everything right now to solve scalability issue. Its very hard for an original blockchain to improve instantly there blockchain capacity while it was design for a normal transaction volume. ETH v2.0 is there last hope to solve this that's why they are focusing there resources on developing it.

Most of new blockchain easily implement new technology from ETH open source blockchain because there's no dapp running on there ecosystem while building so they can stress test all they want while ETH movement is very limited due to the volume of Dapp running on there blockchain.

This is what I am doing, whenever I have to transfer eth from my wallet to another trading platform. You will see the gas fee that you need to pay. But if you will customize it, and set it a lower fee, I don't know how long you will wait for it to go thru or if it goes thru. Fees vary depending on the exchanges and also the coin you're trying to withdraw but in regards to ETH alone, you'll expect such a thing. That is why it was very common for most traders to convert their ETH to another coin that has a small fee and this is what I did. And I guess this is the only way to solve the problem as we can never expect that ETH gas fee will change and back to normal like in the past years, $1, $2 gas fee, it was now been double or somewhat triple or even more.

You can't reduce ether gas fees even if you want to. Because it is not in one's hands that anyone will reduce it. There would not have been so many transactions when Uniswap was not there. And the block would not grow. But since the Uniswap hopes, ether gas fees have been much higher. I don't think gas fees will go up anytime soon.

He wants to store his assets in ethereum but im sure that if he has found a solution for his problem since this thread a few months old right now. Any cex is charging a lot of fees except FTX. In FTX you will be getting 50% discount but this discount will not happen forever. As far as i know FTX was paying 50% from our withdraw fees to our personal wallet. I have been using this so many times. It's not even relevant to call BSC.
He wants to transfer his ERC asset or ethereum and that means it was not supported by BSC chain. I guess you're missing the point it here but ETH was so crazy.

Why not use Ftx exchange For withdrawing Etherium. In my experience its fee is lower than binance and Kucoin. Currently value of charge is only 10-12$ and i think its not big.

FTX is the best way how to solve high ETH withdraw fees because how much fund your withdrawing with ETH just take fees only 0.001 ETH, from other exchange market you need spent more than 0.02 ETH when sending fund for fees swap on Metamask, last transaction I made two weeks ago where withdrawing about 0.06  ETH for claimed airdrop coins, I have to pay fees 0.001 ETH and most cheapest fees than use Binance, Kucoin or Bittrex exchange market because all that exchange spent almost 0.02 eth for withdrawing fees. I hope keep consistent for FTX with lower fees transaction using ETH coin because last years still free without paid fees.

However, what about dealing with ERC20 tokens on the ETH network? Ethereum gas fees have never stopped being disappointing to me. Although I intend to hold on to ETH, I will do almost all of my investments outside of it's ecosystem because of the outrageous gas fees! That is totally unreasonable and unsustainable. This is the best option if it's possible! Many exchanges and casinos have it now, but not all of them! Also, not all wallets have that option! High fees on the Ethereum network made me quit using it, and didn't use Ethereum for anything for almost a year, and I don't plan to! Simply other chains have the same things, transaction fees are lower and faster in my experience!

If you want to withdraw your Money for sell or investment then you can easily sell your eth for another coins or stable coin like USDT or anything like this via another blockchain like BSC, Polygon. or if you want to withdraw ETH to your personal wallet like MEW or Trust wallet for transfer a erc20 based token then you can withdraw ETH from FTX exchanger. That is a problem with the Ethereum Network and not specifically with the Exchanges. I do believe you should have been familiar with the transaction fees that have been the pain in trading/transferring over the ETH network with all these high gas fees and all. So it doesn't matter which exchange you are on but as long as you are doing that transaction over the ETH network, the fees will still be high.

I don't think it's necessary to exchange it to another coin because there are many networks that are already running on ETH coins so everyone just needs to see what network can provide cheaper fees when making ETH transactions, and I think the BSC network is still very friendly for transactions

I haven't tried it but withdrawing it on a coin that has zero fees on polygon or BSC network, exchanging it to Ethereum token, and bridging it Ethereum network maybe an option. Why exactly do you want to put the coins in myetherwallet on first place? There could be alternative way to buy the coin you want or the ICO you want to participate. Make transactions as few and as large as possible so that you'd not be paying on ethereum network multiple of times.

In my opinion, the solution that the guy posted is valid and this is one of the solution use by most by eth users due to the high fees of eth and this is also the reason why an exchange implement those features because they know that it can save their costumers and wont be intimidated to use eth. Under 20 usd fee looks small for you but not to all. Why pay it when there are solutions or other alternatives that we can do to drastically decrease that fee?

Currently exchanges with cheap ethereum fees are on the FTX market. you can register an account there and buy ethereum to get cheap fees, you can buy easily without KYC. however, it can only help there, if you transact with the MEW wallet then the gas will be the same high.

So far, almost all exchanges charge high fees for ETH with also higher minimal withdrawal amount.
This is often killing a small player like me when I am going to add ETH as only gas fees in my personal wallet.
Before the gas fee was not rising up, still low enough, we can find some P2P exchanges that offer their service of transferring ETH as gas fee with very low fee. But right now? None is found, most end up with the high Ethereum fee.
What I know is that it is lower than others maybe at the FTX exchange. It is more affordable than others so far that I am using.

Withdrawal fees vary greatly depending on the deduction from the exchange, but it doesn't matter if you withdraw more fees from the top exchange, the transaction will be processed immediately compared to the exchange, low withdrawal fees will hinder withdrawals if gas fees go up dramatically.

The difficult thing is that we are talking about dynamic changes in the transaction fees, which means that there are points where it is 1 bucks, there are moments when it is 10 bucks, if the exchange ends up giving you like 5 bucks, then we are talking about something that is a bit of a problem for both parties.

If it is more than five bucks then exchange would be having trouble and paying it from their pockets while it is cheaper for the customers, if it is less than five bucks than exchanges would be making a profit and the customers would be losing money because of it. This is why I believe that the withdrawal fees should be dynamic and not a fixed amount.
