 you can go with coingecko first  and then maybe consider listing in cmc later on  .

I use both Coingecko and CMC to check the market situation, but if I want to analyze further, I will use TabTrader to check the trend of the coins. Both Coingecko and CMC are serving you with the data for every coin or token, but if you want to have more information, you need to look at the exchanges directly to analyze the coins.

The next question is a mystery because there is no guarantee to know when the price goes up. So far, the market will follow bitcoin moves, whether it is up or down, depending on how bitcoin moves.

The increase value of the token is not depend on the platform whether they are listed at the coinmarketcap or coingecko, I think that is irrelevant
in my own idea. It is because the increase of the price value is depend on whale holders were they are the one who have the capacity to manipulate the market.

What gives you Idea that being Listed in Coingecko or Coinmarketcapitalization will add more increase in Value? is this a literal manipulation that you are pointing ? because Yes being listed in popular exchange will bring more possible investors but I am not sure that it will be the main factor because being Listed only needs paying their obligated listing price so i am not sure why this will make any hype in the value.

Coingecko isnt really too far off when it comes to popularity but it cant really be denied that Coinmarketcap does have that kind of popularity and recognition as a tracking website in overall market.Dont know if its precise but thats what i do tend to observe.

I dont know on what you do say about giving out some big impact because i dont see any relevance for a project to get listed and take out advantage
whenever they do get listed out in one of these tracking sites.

This is a matter of choice according to your preference because both could function out well on whar you are suposed or intendly to do.

Price will Go up depend in factor that you have said, by demand and by the support of the people who buys and use this.

You can create your own coin aggregator and put up your own coin there and then make it popular as well, although the success of the site in terms of traffic drawn might be less if you would go in the opposite order.

What OP asked is a wrong question. One does not list on CMC or CG or another aggregator site. They list what the exchanges are listing and if the coin gets listed on a well known exchange, it will come in to those lists in time. Majority of them pull data from several exchanges and it is hard to not find a coin with even a small market cap to be "included" on these sites.

OP might have thought about "featured" coins: these are paid promotional banners and that is a different topic.

Listing on CoinMarketCap and Coingecko does not mean that the price of any token will increase.  Because there are many tokens that are never listed in CMC or CG.  However, the price of some tokens increases temporarily with CMC or CG listing but is later dumped again like FCP token.

Somehow, there's a relation between listing and the price increase of some tokens. But the most affecting factor is being listed on an exchange. Yeah, you're right that there are tokens that are not listed to either but still, they've got some community that they're going with.

But the factor of being listed to CMC or CG, they're just temporary affecting the tokens price. That's why when people and holders heard of such words and news, they're quick in buying that token because the hype is still fresh.

In terms of your second question, I'm actually not sure what exactly you mean by "how many hours is a coin up"? If you're talking about price, then it would likely be something near 50% given that in the short run, price movements are essentially random.

Both provide useful essentials for those interested in crypto, but I prefer using CGK over CMC because I see more information.
Since binance acquired CMC, I see many problems in navigating information in favor of binance, but it is still very good for newcomers to learn about crypto.

For sure? I don't think so. Coingecko seems to be more reliable and faster for me. Yeah the interface of cmc is good but I like how efficient cg in terms of many ways.

I am cmc user or tracker before but cg has change that with their faster and bolder attempt to provide services especially monitoring of tokens and coins.

CoinMarketCapitalization(CMC) this is th most trusted and worth to check of your coins , though i the past they have been questioned but now that they are owned by binance(as that is what i believe) all the issues had been settled and the ite is more functional and worth a check.

It's the most visited but about being trusted, everyone has their own trusted platform and has that label.

And when they've become owned by binance, most of the bugs came out and it's better before binance has taken over them. But as being said, they don't have that much difference with coingecko so you prefer your own tracker.

Historical views. This is the biggest reason I can't leave CMC. It's the cleanest way to view non-live market cap and volume in bulk:
Only view data from a specific day, about a minute to load the top 1000 cryptos (loading 200 at a time), then, use Ctrl+F to search through results, copying and pasting what I need. This is one of the last steps in my process so I've already filtered out all the coins I don't care about (about 99% of the list) I would drop CMC in an instant if CG had this. The customizable filter is nice, too, but I can live without it. excellent one father of market.

Use them both too when it comes to reference of prices and i dont see that they would really be affecting coins price which is really a wrong belief to have on because this isnt how it works.
You can really compare it but in overall aspect then usage or utility is just really the same. Just jump into other if you dont able to find the information that you
are seeking on so its a personal choice and it has nothing to do with price or value of a coin.
