Ross Ulbricht is releasing an NFT collection for a charity

I suddenly have a question to ask now and we all know the guy from his adventures with Bitcoin but why does anyone not want to create NFTs on Bitcoin? Or is this not possible or easy to do? As far as I know sidetokens have been made before but maybe they were all not non-fungible?

Anyway, I do not think people need to be angry with him,,, if it is for charity, why should anyone be angry with it?

Because the Bitcoin "sidechains" like Sovryn and Stacks has their own token; and the vocal Bitcoin maximalists aren't fan of such tokens. Or the more likely reason: maybe Ross Ulbricht and etc just prefer to run the NFT auction on a chain that people actually use for NFTs — Ethereum. It just makes more sense if the goal was to actually pool money.

Can a person be supportive of Ross Ulbricht, but obviously still hold the opinion that those coins in your post are shitcoins, with shit-narratives?

I support him for what publicity it might bring, and for the awareness because Ross Ulbricht’s case was a fraud case. The truth should come out.

yes, it has to be done we are all brothers and don't let innocent people suffer. We can see the family left behind by an inmate, his wife and children being neglected due to lack of money to meet their daily needs. With Bitcoin and Altcoins that we have, we can help their families who need money so they don't go hungry.

I mean you're entitled to your own opinion mate, so dislike away! A lot of vocal Bitcoiners like Peter McCormack(What Bitcoin Did podcast) thinks Ethereum and NFTs are bullcrap but will still be bidding in the NFT sale for the sole purpose of helping the cause. I applaud the likes of him despite me not agreeing with everything he says.

This is a pretty cool project, and I'm a bit surprised that I am just now hearing about it.  I personally have a bit of mixed feelings when it comes to Ross Ulbricht and his contribution to bitcoin/how I view him personally.  I've seen some documentary's about him and the reasons he's in jail and the whole murder for hire thing is what gives me pause.  Otherwise I think this project is pretty cool.

Well, it isn’t bad at all, since it is meant for charity. Even though that he has been convicted for some reasons which he did committed that led to his incarceration, I believe that at some point people do have a change of heart when they are in a situation like this.So it is quite possible that he might have had a change of heart and decided to do something good for once in his life. An NFT for a good course?

Well, I do support it as long as it’s really being used for the purpose as stated. But a lot of people might not want to be in support of it, because of the reasons I stated above, which is okay, you are free to do as your mind leads you.

I am honestly slowly starting to change my opinion on NFTs after seeing the extreme hate, and the extreme love for them in Twitter. The NFT market might currently be just Tulip Mania 2.0 today, but depending on implementation, a developer might fullfil Hal Finney’s vision, and develop it to become more. It can be a censorship-resistant method of delivering important messages for society.
