Any crypto miners using those new RTX A4000 graphic cards for mining today? Are they more easier to find in stores than the rtx3070s or not much difference? How about their mining performance? Cooling system?

Google is your friend. These cards have no LHR lock -> ETH hashrate is around 61mh to 66mh depends on silicon lottery  @ 120w

They are easier as they are geared toward another market, the rendering and architectural one and not mining although they behave almost the same and even a bit better than 3070.The only difference is that these cost a bit more than the 3070 but in general are much easier to find and you don't have to worry about that LHR bullshit that nowadays almost every newly produced 3070 has built in.

The cooling is not as good as 3070 but with a fan attached near the card that costs really cheap you greatly improve the cooling system of such cards so nothing to worry here too.

Apparently when it comes to mining with the A4000 graphic cards its hashrate is just like that of rtx3060ti and 3070 but I'm not so sure about the availability and also it depends on which country you from, right now I can easily find A4000 and A5000 in my country than non LHR graphic cards

Yes, A4000, A5000 and the recently launched A4500 are being used in mining as they do not have a hashrate limiter. A6000 is not used because of its price/performance.

The A4000 prices recently shot up from $1100 to $1600 Locally. A4000 has the worst cooler being a single slot blower card. A5000 has a fantastic cooler.

On ETH:

A4000 does 61-63Mh at 140w.

A5000 does 102MH at 230w.

A4500 is expected to do around 80-85Mh/s.

In gaming A4000 is a little slower than a 3070, A5000 is slower than a 3080.

Hmm thanks for breaking this down, it looks like the A series are good for crypto mining and not for gaming, will be harder to go for any if one is into mining and gaming at the same time, thanks though

Look at the topic, you will find hashrates of all NVIDIA RTX A series graphics cards
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5359802.0
These are good graphics cards, but they are not open case.
Philipma1957 has such video cards, see his reviews
But I saw a good price for these video cards only in America.

A4000 and A5000 all the way, they erase the issue of mistakenly buying LHR 3080 and 3090 and of cos the 3060ti too but right now isn't the time to buy new GPUs, this is the time to start rounding up for the next bear market, I'm guessing this will happen in February 2022

There are some info about Nvidia RTX A4000 cards here: https://www.cryptoprofi.info/?p=10646
RTX A4000 has GA104 chip, RTX3070 has similair GPU, but it is worse due to fewer stream processors, as well as LHR-restrictions, 3070Ti must be better.

I think it's better to buy regular gaming video cards, because they can be sold to gamers if the mining situation is very bad.
Soon there should be news about the new testnets Ethereum 2,and if everything goes well, then video cards should definitely not be bought.

a4000 are very good in the proper server rack.

i am going to try the a2000 soon.

https://minerdude.com/product/pre-order-minerdude-x12-xtreme-12-gpu-smart-mining-rig-pre-order-delivery-late-aug-early-sept/

i have seven of rhe racks above

i had eight but sold one.

12 a4000 in the rack above are great.

i got in on all of the above at better prices than right now

12 x 1250 = 15000 usd for cards

1 x 1000 = 16000 usd for a 12 card rig doing around 680 mh pulling about 1600 watts.

you would be lucky to build that rig for 19500 right now.

I have over 7gh of eth hash

but we have very good power prices we can invest and have 40 a2000 coming

they should do 1.6 gh

with luck the team will have 9gh of eth hash online in under two weeks.

do not think that a4000 are good for gaming.

also do not run the max watts of 140

set to 115

140 doing 61 mh
115 doing 58 mh

pretty easy to understand why we will do the 115 watts.

At the moment we have 165 cards all from april 2020 other than 4 1080ti cards.

of all these cards we have only had 2 rma which were in a two card rig for mining and gaming.
i think the mobo shorted.

so pushing the shit out of cards in my experience is not cost effective.

remember i can risk more then many others due to power deals and solar arrays

45k array online averages 9 kwatt 24/7
110k array online averages 22kwatt 24/7

350k array be online this spring it will average 70kwatt 24/7

about 101kwatt of basically “free” power . it is complex to describe it as free

but i am a degreed accounting guy and calling it free is kind of accurate even though it was about 1,000,000 to build those arrays.

most miners simply do not have power access that allows for risks we take.

@philipma1957

I just got 5 pieces of HP NVIDIA RTX A2000 6 GB GDDR6 Blower (MFG part number 340L0AA) and 2 AMD W6600 Pro cards.

Running HIVEOS, TRM (AMD), TBM (NVidia). So far no luck with OC with W6600 (I assume 30MHs would be max with these?)

They are exactly the same as PNY "retail" versions. I have one PNY and 3 HPs in our heating via mining prototype. I started this project just for fun, further development depends how looming ETH POS affects financials.

Don't bother overclocking or something cos that's the max you will get out of the card, but why 6GB GPU in 2021? Why not the A4000 because this will give you 60MH and safe you risers and space too don't you think?

Regarding RTXA2000 6GB vs. RTXA4000 16GB, it is more of a question what is available.

RTXA2000 ~40MHs/70W, ~1.75W/MHs, no extra power needed & have not tried reducing power yet.
RTXA4000 ~58MHs/115W, ~1.98W/MHs (philipma1957 settings)

RTXA4000 costs 2X, so that also needs to be considered.

But as I said, I could get RTXA2000, RTXA4000 is MIA currently and I doubt I will get more of those RTXA2000s until next year.

And these cards will not be used for mining for long, they will go to actual workstation PCs :-)

One is good for gaming and the other is best for mining but both can still do mining pretty well, the fact is get the one that is within your reach, what matters is availability and price so go for the one that is cheaper

my w6600 sucks. I run it with a threadripper and mine a cpu coin with the threadripper.

the w6600 does need more drivers

the pny a2000 cost me 528 and does 41 mh at 65 -70 watts
two cost 1056 and do 82 mh at about 130-135 watts
the a4000 cost me 1250-1299 do 58mh at 118 watts

i dont worry that they are 6gb

The only thing I know about these gpus is that they are single slotte and have terrible cooling fans and they run extremely hot, way hotter than the gaming equivalents (making them not so great for mining either , unless you're doing immersion cooling or something).

as I said they are great in server racks

and run them at 115 to 118 watts  not 140

39  of mine are in server racks

here is the 1 in an open rig

68 temp and 56.5 hash no special cooling
much more efficient than the 3090 it runs with

close to 490 hash per watt a4000

close to 404 hash per watt 3090

I have some RTX A5000s and they are great cards run cool, 102 mh, not sure on watts but I'm guessing a little over 200.

I think you would have to add a the watts of the high speed fan to the RTX A4000s since they run hot maybe 30 watts per fan?
