speakeron totally agree but right now we are 220 blocks into this run and block generation is only at 9.9 and network hashrate is actually very slightly LOWER than it was at the last diff. change so that alone is unusual.
Hey a guy can dream right?

I only have a signature because I'm allowed.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Let's see who taps out first haha. Enjoy the ride down. Grin

Don't get me wrong, I like bitcoin and mining it,  but 2014 is going to suck for miners.

1 block: 10.1 minutes

Diff just changed but this is the first time I have ever seen block generation north of the magic ten minute mark.  Maybe good news for miners??

I saw a +50 min block last week - it do happen.

There have been blocks that have been found seconds apart and there have been blocks that have been hours apart. The software tries to enforce an average of 10 minutes. It doesn't guarantee that every block will be found 10 minutes after the previous one.

Exactly. I personally have seen 6 blocks in 10 minutes and have seen no block in 2 hours lol. Cheesy

Variations are normal. We're still on track with block generation, a bit faster than expected though.
