IECCoin is a decentralized, secure, and open-source digital currency based on blockchain technology. It is a turnkey peer-to-peer digital cash solution and store of value, encompassing various related mining, transaction processing, and wallet software, networks, and supporting systems.
The International Electronic Currency Project seeks to foster and promote a fast, fair and robust peer-to-peer currency transaction processing and mining network.
Typical applications include secure online commerce, cross-border remittances, savings/store of value, inflation hedge, mobile-app payments, and everything under the sun.
The International Electronic Currency Project began preliminary work in May 2017, with the final production release version completed and genesis block mined in November 2021.
‘IEC’ or ‘IECCoin’ is the digital asset native to the International Electronic Currency blockchain, an open-source distributed ledger composed of a network of peer-to-peer nodes or transaction processing servers.
The IEC blockchain employs faster transaction times, lower typical network transaction fees, and increased network bandwidth efficiency than most other cryptocurrencies in circulation. IECCoin utilizes the Nakamoto consensus, and nodes validate blocks via Proof-of-Work mining process.
The maximum supply of IEC is capped at a total of 100 billion IEC.

IECCoin Initial Coin Offering / Coin Swap
To take part in the International Electronic Currency ICO, register for an account. You will be issued a unique BTC address particular to your IECCoin account, as well as a unique IECCoin wallet address and wallet private key. All BTC sent to your input address will be credited in a coin swap to your account's output wallet address as International Electronic Currency (IEC) coins. Public Launch
At 00:00:00 GMT on May 1, 2022, all of the International Electronic Currency (IEC) mining and wallet software packages, including source code, binary builds and documentation will be made available on the project's github page, and IECCoin seed nodes, IECCoin DNS seeder, and the IEC blockchain will be made readily available to the general public. Stakeholders of IECCoin, as well as new users will be able to install IECCoin wallet software and execute IECCoin wallet transactions on the IECCoin mainnet. At that time the International Electronic Currency mainnet transaction processing network will be opened and made publicly accessible to allow anyone to start an IEC node, and begin mining IECCoins and processing IECCoin transactions.
