Does anyone know what site this was?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

On the "main source" of that news, they labeled the name of the operation as "BITDROP" and after doing some digging, I believe it was "LetTheBitDrop.com [archived version]" and there was also some discussions about it on this forum: Bitcoin Island Party - "The Bit Drop"

I'm not sure if that's the one. That website has been "inactive" for years now, and I don't think the police would name their operation BitDrop when the website was letthebitdrop. That is way too similar.
