I lost more than I won, I think most of us can share the same story. But the moral here is that caring too much about winnings is a lose-lose strategy. I simply play my favourite games and I pay to play them. If I manage to win, that's great, if not, well, I have paid my time in a casino.

^ That is why it is always against my ego to show my winnings, I felt guilty when showing my winning even though I know that the losses are more than what I have won. It seems I am fooling them by believing the wrong exemption which is thinking that I am a good gambler. If we manage to win, just simply keep it to you because showing victory is not necessary to me.
However, I still respect everyone's decisions, if they wanted to show their winning, that is their life, and let them be. Probably in that way they become release the pain from a huge loss.

I agree with all those guys telling that winning should be kept in secret. And I also understand those rough marketers showing their huge payouts:). If you are not about marketing, you don't need to boast about anything. If you want to promote something, you will show your great winnings.

I will add a little more to your opinion - the fact is that many players are not just superstitious, but also do not want many people to know about their winnings because they think that these people will envy and change the player’s luck with their thoughts, he will start  lose.  Therefore, I think that most of the lucky players hide their winnings and will not write about such winnings here.  
In general, I think that the vast majority of players are still the losers and simply consider their costs as payment for entertainment and the pleasure of playing.

Then the person may make some profit then again the person would be loser. Then again may make good profit but this time the person may make more loss even more than the investment made until now and all profit and also have to added more fund which will also  loss.

This is right on which as long you dont expose off information then you would consider yourself safe despite on sharing up those big wins around and its true that it would really depend on gambler because not all would really be that having open mindedness or feeling on sharing out into the public and some are just really glad that they do able to make some good hits.Its not bad to share up

Sometimes because of the focus of winning big staking, we ignore the loses we had made which is not that obvious because we have not put proper  consideration to it. Sometimes when I try to estimate my loses in some gambling bets I had placed, I end up regretting on why I choose a particular game or why I gambled at that particular time.

Of course we all play with the hope of hitting a big win, as some of the users showed in this thread. In order not to regret the losses, it is best to establish a strategy and, above all, how much we can lose before starting the game. If the win is huge then it should really be confidential because robbers could attack you but if the win is not that huge then I do not see a big problem with that. Those that love to share their winnings might be gamblers that gambling rarely or gamblers that rarely win.

I experienced this feeling and I am really happy to think that I won after a long time of loosing so I let others know that its possible and they should not give up so that they will also win like me. True, most gamblers lose because of greed, that is why bankroll management is very important even if we only play just to enjoy because gambling is an addictive activity.

Yes greed is one of the major problem that most gamblers do face. Having the urge to win more without thinking about the contrary view. We all need to avoid this or just control it so it will not be a bigger problem later. the point is don't be too curious about gambling, play again tomorrow if you lose today but take profits if you win today, do that habit then I'm sure your winning percentage will be much higher than your loss.

same condition as me when gambling using fiat ,if I lose then I continue to play and the law is that losing is bigger than winning  ! but try using altcoins to gamble for example litecoin or other altcoins ,only one coin to focus on gambling ,it works for me in manage the rhythm of spending

Excited to share is what some of us gamblers really wanted to do, and you are right if it's just a small amount of winnings it's not a problem but if it's a huge amount, your own security is at stake if you share that online, even it's hard to track you hackers and robbers are willing to find you and try to hook you up to get all your money.

Be very careful in every action that you are taking. Always put in mind that there are eyes around you who are waiting for their opportunities.

like what @desmong said 'Discipline is important in gambling' it's the right sentence. self-discipline such as managing emotions and also finances when playing gambling is something that must be done if we want to come out as a winner when gambling, sounds trivial but many gamblers fail to apply it (including me it's still a little difficult to do that).

I have a mentor who always reminds me to invest, trade or gamble with a cool head. if you are able to play with a cool head then 'show your victory' with pride and satisfaction

One of the things most people failed to understand is the fact that gambling has its public perception which the society mostly don't celebrate, so most gambler when there is a big winning will rather be on a low key with the rewards in other not to attract public attention.
And on the other hand, some others will show their winning to the whole public by buying assets such as real estate and cars and can publicly show it off.

I also have the impression that it is almost impossible to beat the casino and therefore, the percentage of losses will be higher than winnings. I am new to gambling and therefore, I would like to hear the opinions of experienced players. What is your average win/loss ratio? Please share your approximate statistics.
