A woman is pregnant with a set of twins,on the 31st morning, we was in labor till 11.57pm on the 31st night 2022,she gave birth to the first, and at 12.03am,2023 the second child came out. The family was very happy for successful delivery and safety of the children and their mom.

I will like to hear your opinion on this situation, if you are the parents of these kids will you call them twins ?

How will you celebrate their birthday and which year will they claim ?

The fact that labor delayed doesn't mean they ain't twins. It's just that one celebrates his birthday every 31st of December and the next one 1st. They are called twins because they are offspring from one pregnancy so it doesn't matter the time difference.

How will you celebrate their birthday and which year will they claim?
I have heard this kind of scenarios many times, it becomes a matter of choice for the parents when to celebrate the birthday of their twins. Children are not called twins only because they share the same birthdays, birthdays did not even matter at some point, Children are called twins because they shared the same space in their mother's womb. To celebrate their birthdays will become a decision but the best day to use is the day the first child came out. This case is also very similar to a case I have seen about children born on leap year dates like 29th of February and which date they will also have to choose to celebrate on in years that are not leap years.

I was hoping for something bizarre but the click bait got me. Congratulations to the parents.
On a different note, as a teenager I always thought twins are made by cumming twice, so imagine my awe when I heard about quintuplet babies.🤣🤣

They are still twins and will always be, the interval of 4mins doesn't change anything about them being together even though the timing to when the both arrived varies with year but i will only advise if they can both use the same year especially to claim the new year since the interval is not that much considering avoiding differences, while in their certificate they can bith have the exact time and date but don't necessarily have to claim the two at once, or better they have thesa certificate bearing the same year but only little time changes.

This looks strange to me but no matter the time each baby was born, they are still twins and the difference in hours is not much forgetting about whether one is born on previous year and another is born in a new year. All that matters is that the time interval is not much and they are categorically a twin of grace. This cam of scenerio happens twice in every 10,000 babies.

Their Birthday celebration was going to be celebrated as the same time and the same day of the first one because the delayment of twins doesn't means that they can't celebrate their birthday at the same time because base on my knowledge and understanding mostly twins use to be give birth by chance of time and many families don't see their different and say they will celebrate their birthday celebration apart, so my opinion here is that the twins birthday celebration should be actually celebrated and it will be the date period of the first one.

Both of the them are Twins, the timing doesn't really changed the fact that both of them was in the same womb.
If I were Their perent I will celebrate them differently because logically the were not born those same day
