It doesn't take a genius to know that cryptos are easily manipulated just like stocks and forex as well. I can't understand how people kept clamoring that cryptos are free from FI intervention when the opposite is already a thing and they get all excited when they "adopt" them.

Crypto are making people greedy

Were people not greedy before crypto came to existence?

Miners don't care if they are consuming energy(electricity=water, E-waste = diseases/toxic..) in a bad way that can affect directly people, especially those in poor areas...

So you expect them to do what? Stop mining and sell away their gear? It will be their loss of the method of making money right away.

Investors don't care if you are investing the wealth that you worked for years to gather, And none will talk if it is a just a market where making right decision based on analytics and studies  related to such or such crypto will definitely get you the reward that you deserve, Instead Pump-and-dump is what take place to solve the puzzle. 

Seems like you have been scammed by a pump-and-dump group and you are venting out your rant here. Sorry but such groups exist in every sector of speculative market. If you think these are new and because of crypto then you are mistaken. You should read more about HYIP/MLM and such schemes and how Ponzi was started from Wikipedia.

Scamers and those are the worst, they use your own value of trust against you. Thing that make you question everything.

Everyday is a fight between legit users and scammers. You have to learn to deal with it and be smart to avoid them.

And in the other hand compared with the profits, donations can be considered null.

Donations in crypto is a voluntary choice. It is foolish to think that someone will just keep donating everyday because they are earning well.

Hm this is more about greed in cultivating wealth. We need to realize that something like this will definitely happen but this is not Crypto because in this case crypto is just an object for that. As for greed like this, this is the original form of humans who are always greedy in everything. On the other hand, this kind of thing actually happens not only to crypto but to almost everything that contains wealth, for example with gold. Look for the sake of wealth how many holes are there in the earth now? is this also not a crime that destroys nature?

All because of the urge to have a lot of money from new sources before everyone joined crypto is what causes many people who have joined crypto to become greedy.
If everyone weren't greedy for more bitcoins or trying to dominate a large part of the market, nothing bad could happen in the real world.
But I doubt it can happen because it is human nature to try to master something popular and become the most.
So we better pay attention to ourselves and not be greedy because it will not be good for us.

Unfortunately that is true, but also not really that much wrong neither. I remember that we were all trying to gather as much as possible back in the day, but also didn't bought as much as we could. Like back in 2014 period, when the prices were skyrocketing, we could have bought more and more, but we didn't and there were only a few people who invested heavily into crypto, people with 10k+ bitcoins weren't there all that much, not even as much as today probably.

But when you look back, you still see a lot of people from those days still trying to gather as much bitcoin as possible without giving up, which is a good thing for long term of bitcoin.

Who cares to whom really? Even if it's in real life. Everyone is selfish and greedy when it comes to money. And cryptocurrency is digital money for us. Someone losing on the other hand someone gaining. Everyone thinks about their own profits by the way. So yes, money uncovering our evil sides, just not crypto. A human can do anything for money, not only for crypto.

That's our human nature. So there's no surprise about this kind of attitude.
But we will always have a choice if we want to have a meaningful and peaceful life.
Just like these scammers, it is their own conscience whether they will be happy with their lives if they know they screwed somebody.

I mean, I think the whole situation has been blown way out of proportion, but just to play devil's advocate there, you can't just blame the consumer, otherwise you could blame everyone for buying a fuel car in the last decade. You could blame those who use phones, Bitcoin miners are using energy, is it enough to be detrimental? Possibly, is it using any more than any other industry out there (at least major)? Nope.

Plus, I think the pandemic highlighted people's greed rather than Cryptocurrencies. I was sickened at times how people reacted to it, and how they tried to exploit it for personal gain. You might see that in Bitcoin now, and then. However, the majority are trying to escape the need to conform to capitalist ways.

What I feel is that money doesn’t influence our principles, it brings out what we actually are, even if we don’t agree.
So blaming won’t do anything.

Well,what can we do about it? It's not like we are excluded from the kind of people who pursue profit.

It is like those maladies that dont need any treatment. Greed is a part of being human and being able to control greed is what should be aimed at. Because crypto is just another form of money there will be nuances that end up growing a cult of scammers who attempt to use those nuances to their gain.

It is a problem that comes with the system and therefore only awareness to prevent it should be the objective.

Sure,greed is the ultimate factor for our evil side to get profit by any means necessary,but sometimes,the life circumstances force us to do so.Now,it depends on the person to keep the morality or cross the line.

I do think the OP got scammed by some pump and dump groups, obviously OP is ashamed of that and therefore I never got any reply from the OP in this topic.

Being greedy will cost one but being clever and avoiding scams is not everyone's cup of tea. These are things that are learnt through life and these lessons should be strictly followed. Every light has its shadow and we have to learn to live with the bad side of crypto just like we have been living with the bad side of fiat.
