Contrary to popular belief, listing on Coinmarketcap is completely free, so you don't need anyone to get listed there, especially not all those "agencies" offering you that as you can everything do everything by yourself. Just fill out this form, provide as much info as possible and  you should end up getting listed. It's pretty much same thing with Coingecko, its also free but there you can't get listed prior to getting listenon  exchanges.

Then again, if you know its free but  you are not capable of filling up that form by yourself, I can only imagine how capable you are of making anything ou of your project.

I would add more. To be listed on CMC and CoinGecko, his project, coin, token or whatever, needs to meet some criteria like trading volume for example. So, even if he pays someone for listing probably will be removed or delisted (especially on CMC) without enough volume. that would be wasted money.
Yes, all services like CMC help projects to grow but the first steps they need to do without them.

Yep, they profit from the ignorance of others. Luckily for them, there is an abundance of that on the crypto market on all levels. There are services that can get you listed much faster, but finding a legit one is harder than it seems as majority of them don't have those kind of connections (that means they have to know someone working on CMC/Coingecko) so in the end, its best to avoid them all together.

That's true for Coingecko, you have to be listed on the exchange that is tracked by them, but you can get listed on CoinMarketCap weeks or even months before your token/coin gets listed on the exchange. When you fill that form that I provided in my previous post, your project gets listed on CMC as "Untracked Listing" and will stay in that status until your coin/token starts trading, and only if it's on supported exchange with enough volume. The last part is not done automatically though, you have to submit the form yet again.

Yes definitely free. But the problem is the very long queue of applications adding up each day. You can wait for a weeks, months or worst your application will be loss. The sad reality was they have an inside job that accepts payment to make your listing in priority. I try to list a token on coinmarketcap before when one of the team I'm working give me this task. I do the standard procedure and we wait weeks without anything happening unti I met the marketing guy of Faraland and ask for his assistance. It only took less than a day before the token was listed.

This is the sad reality why this kind of person like OP is looking on this service offered.

Coinmarketcap and Coingecko listing is totally free. But due to a lot of application and apply for scam project. now  They review each project thoroughly and reject the request if in doubt. But before, it was very easy to list in cmc and all types of listing applications were accepted. But now it looks a little different. By using this opportunity, some dishonest people are taking a lot of money from many projects. So don't step into them. Complete the Listing form correctly and then your project will be accepted for listing there.

While it's true that they are probably swarmed with applications, I don't think that they are so thorough when it comes to screening the projects, otherwise they wouldn't list bunch of useless meme shitcoin pump&dump coins on the daily basis like they are doing.

They do check some basic info (probably check if info submitted is the same like on tewebsite ), but they don't care whether team is fake, whitepaper plagiarized or anything else really so in the end its up to users to do their own research. Hell, Coinmarketcap is even advertising known scammers 1xbit so you can imagine how little they care when it comes to protection of their own userbase.
