What do you think about Atomic wallet?

So I've been looking everywhere, and I can't, for the life of me, find any reliable information on multi asset, software wallets. I downloaded Exodus, just to find a thread recommending NOT to use it. Coinomi had an even worse reputation. E-Toro ended up being custodial.

Now, I've been reading (not a lot) about Atomic wallet, but, as usual, I can't find what I'm looking for.

My questions are:

• Is it open source?
• Is it custodial/non custodial?
• How about fees? Are they higher or lower than other wallets?
• Is it safe enough? yes, I know hardware wallets are better, but I can't afford one right now.

And, finally, the most important ones: do you recommend it? Any other multi asset wallet you would recommend over it?

I used it twice to recover bitcoin forks. I don't recommend it.

On my first attempt there was a bug in the wallet and I lost my coins. I talked to the support and they refund me (it was a small value, about 50 usd).

Later on I tried again a few years later, and I wasn't able to recover some other fork.

Imo, coinomi is a better wallet, although i don't recommend it as well. (only for very small values)

My questions are:

• Is it open source?
• Is it custodial/non custodial?
• How about fees? Are they higher or lower than other wallets?
• Is it safe enough? yes, I know hardware wallets are better, but I can't afford one right now.

And, finally, the most important ones: do you recommend it? Any other multi asset wallet you would recommend over it?

• Fees are not wallet dependent, you just need to choose a wallet which let you customize your own fees.
• No, it is not safe enough

I suggest that you  buy a hardware wallet such as ledger or trezor.
They are safe and recommend multi currency wallets

I would not suggest anyone to use Atomic wallet because it's closed source and I don't like it's interface.

Most wallets that support multiple coins are not open source, so you won't find much better alternative wallets.
One potential alternative that could work is a wallet plus dex exchange and it''s called AtomicDEX that can be used as wallet for storing coins and for trading coins using atomic swaps:

I would not recommend any other software wallets, but I know people use closed source wallets like Exodus and Coinomi.
It depends if you are asking for mobile or desktop wallet, but Unstoppable.money could be interesting open source mobile wallet you should check out.
Do your own research before using any of them, and keep seed phrase backup safe.

I told you to go and do your own research, don't just go around asking random people is something is safe or not.

No I am not, and I not judging you at all, I am just stating the facts.
If you can't even read and properly open the github link I sent you, than maybe bitcoin, crypto wallets and computers are just not for you yet :/
Archived page and screenshot is posted bellow as a proof that github link I sent was working correctly, and I tried it in different browsers so the issue on your end.
If you still can't understand than let me translate that AtomicDex wallet is Open Source with GNU General Public License.
Is it safe to use?

As Hardware wallets like ledger nano S which costs $59 are unaffordable, you are storing small of amounts of money.

And you want to use altcoins and bitcoin.

I would use Trust Wallet (https://trustwallet.com/).

Use it in your mobile. It is open source:

It is a mobile wallet, but that isn't a big problem for you.

Personally, I would never keep more than the device cost in a mobile wallet. However, as you said $59 is a lot for you, your portfolio is probably smaller than a smartphone cost.

I think Trust Wallet is a good wallet for your needs.

Yeah, right now, 10 bucks is a lot for me. Maybe I'll start looking for a hardware wallet soon enough (hopefully...), but, as of now, I have to make do with what's available to me...

I heard that trust wallet is half open source meaning not fully open source but it seems to be the most secure mobile wallet, I abandoned atomic wallet and coinomi wallet for trust wallet.
