I am still learning, My large point is that I see potential both SHORT and LONG term for DOGE because it has a cult following that is growing and it is got potential for daily usability.

The dogecoin usability is the major point that makes Tesla adopt dogecoin over other coins such as bitcoin, a lot of companies that have a large holding in dogecoin believe the same thing that it has long term advantage, and Elon Musk also stated the same thing that the company is adopting dogecoin over Bitcoin because of its usability.
But on the other hand, considering the other aspect which is the investment aspect is a highly risky investment and since it is a meme coin it can easily be pumped and dumped at any time.

He did the same thing with Bitcoin and it also got pumped and then he announced that Tesla won't be accepting Bitcoin and it got dumped. The same can happen to Dogecoin. We as a community should start ignoring this guy as he has been very unstable of what he wants to promote from last year to date. I do not know for how long Tesla will accept Dogecoin.

let's not forget when last year he implemented the same thing and banned bitcoin for later payments.
things like this have happened again and again for them and this is proof that he only wants profit for his business and not for mass adoption there.

Never crossed my mind how tesla could become this influental in the market honestly, a brand of luxury cars that only very few of us could afford yet everyone always put this brand in their attention.
If it’s other car brand that out of the blue decides that they gonna announces doge as car payment surely it will never be this phenomenal but it's only for merchandise and it's not the same like when tesla was accepting bitcoin to be one of its main payment system to buy tesla. Some people got trapped caused by this news. i thought that if that was for car payment but it's not.
Maybe it's because elon is such a genius that he could make his brand so influential in the market that even its simple act of accepting doge could become this phenomenal but this can also become his strategy to pump his bag.

Elon is using doge as publicity.  A good way to sell over priced belt buckles and $35 tee shirts.  When one guy (elon) can make a price jump or crash based on a tweet it's just waiting to implode.  Doge will not be able to keep buy pressure to pace with the never ending block rewards.

Most of the times, he is just trolling the cryptocurrency market and this decision to start accepting Dogecoin to purchase Tesla is another gimmick from him and the thing that surprises is that he always wins the speculation game and hopefully he is investing whenever he plans to create a hype.

He pumped BTCitcoin using the same modus operandi and he is doing that again with Dogecoin, he is just showing how the investors in cryptocurrency market has short term memory power on the volatile decisions, Musk usually takes on accepting and then delisting them without any thought process  .

Wow, it is nice to see but Dogecoin is not an ideal coin. It is not scarce and it would be better, if only Bitcoin is accepted.

Tesla company is not consistent about accepted payment using cryptocurrency, although last day Elon Musk as Tesla owner announced about doge payment accepted is not guarantee with consistent his words, you can see at the first moment he has said before about Doge coin as legal payment in Tesla Company, but few days later he broken his promise and make new announcement to banned using payment with Doge coin, now he try to make you trust again with his word about doge coin payment in Tesla and better never trust him again, he want to  play with doge coin price where suddenly could dump if tweet about doge coin as illegal payment in Tesla.

companies and public figures cannot create their own crypto

yes, okay, they can, but they will only be like usual vouchers. They will never be able to create a currency accepted by other companies.

However, they can "sponsor", and that is just what Elon has done, setting himself up as a kind of godfather of Dogecoin or honorary president. So he already has "his own" currency

The real standing is that they could create a within the whole holding type of stuff and that could work very well. Imagine facebook creating their own token, that means you can use it on facebook, whatsapp and instagram. That is actually quite big area to use a currency in, how many coins are used that wide? There are like maybe 10 of them at the very best case, probably more like 2 or 3.

This is how it could happen, not that it would be used by other companies but if a place like google or facebook or apple or anything else creates their own token then they could make you use it, as an alternative of course, you can still use dollars, but you could use their tokens as well. That is the most important part and that is what I believe should be the case whenever they create a new coin as a company. It is not the perfect version, but not terrible neither.

Well we have to be careful here, Tesla only accepts Dogecoin as payment for their merch and i guess the sales volume of their merch is very low compared to their sales volume for cars. One of the reasons, or at least a factor that increased the bullrun of last year was the announcement that Tesla accepts Bitcoin as payment, not only for their merch but also for their cars. Of course people are crazy enough to buy Dogecoin just because Elon Musk made another tweet about it, but that news is very small in comparison to the one of last year. I am not sure, if Tesla will ever accept Dogecoin as a payment method for their cars.. in the end it's just a sh*t-coin.

That is good news, from Elon musk and Tesla accepting cryptocurrency as a means of payment, which has added advantage to Doge coin price value increase in the crypto space.

Accepting dogecoin by Elon Musk as well as Tesla is obviously a good thing for the Dogecoin. And obviously it is good for all the cryptocurrency. Though we cant get the result instantly. We have to wait for a long time for the good result.

They did a dry run on accepting DOGE when buying Merch and I think it went well, this adoption is indeed a great opportunity for DOGE and for sure it will create another hype for this meme token which I think will begin once the market recovers. Though this news doesn’t move the price of DOGE that much, maybe the hype is not there yet but soon it will come, better to have some DOGE now while it is still cheap.

Everything can change at the moment when Elon Musk creates his own cryptocurrency and starts promoting it as the main Tesla brand. Then he will find many reasons to remove Dogecoin, as he previously did with bitcoin, as a means of payment for Tesla merch.

Yeah sure, nobody knows what he wants to do with all of this. But in terms of probability, I believe as far as I am concerned, Musk won't create another cryptocurrency noting the consistency he attained into Dogecoin that has been known since 2019. So, I think it will have a higher chance that Doge will keep being accepted in the merchandise shop. He was also questioned in regard to creating a cryptocurrency back then.

Oh wow, seriously Elon Musk is back at it manipulating crypto markets? How are people still falling for that? I do like SpaceX and the Tesla cars, but I don't like how Elon Musk uses his twitter account to promote or banish crypto projects. He has a huge followership that will buy anything he prompts without thinking twice.  We know that Elon Musk is one of the whales behind the doge coin market, so promoting it will benefit him directly. But who knows how long tesla will actually accept doge, it might be only a few weeks. I remain sceptical for now.

After all, we remember how much the price of bitcoin decreased when it was banned as a means of payment for the purchase of Tesla. I seem to have heard of this too before tesla accepts doge / btc . will people be easily tempted by just this statement? I think with what previously happened at Doge, many people are aware that influencers or famous people are not a guarantee that a coin will go up.

When an investment advice is announced by a public figure like Mr. Elon, even it's a bullshit, people will react by FOMO. And this is how such a big influencer can reach his greedy goals easily.
Note that in his announcement, he didn't mention why Doge is better than bitcoin as a payment method. If so, then why other businesses don't use it the same way.

Although it's easy to discover that it's a hype declaration by just asking two questions:
1- Why Mr. Elon chose Doge from more than 16k cryptocurrencies in the market?
2- What's his opinion about the Doge's inflationary supply?
