I don't see how a startup will compete with giants like Boeing and Airbus, but A for effort.

Please don't take ICO route for two reasons. First, ICO is dead. People don't prefer to buy coins from ICO anymore so the chance is very high that your coins will remains unsold. Secondly, the use case is not something to interest a common people. If you are building an aircraft, your target customers will be the wealthiest 5% of the world, not a common people. Also in this field, the competition is huge where we already have big companies like Airbus, Boeing, Dassault etc. which years and years of experience. So it's very unlikely for your startup to remain in business due to such steep competition. So the chance of failure is quite high. Personally I wouldn't invest on your idea.

If you have planned to set up an ecommerce store, that would have been a different story. I think you better go to angel investors or VCs. ICO wouldn't help you at all.

Thank you! I was about to make that observation too. I won't touch any project that goes into an ICO, no matter how promising that project may seem. I've been bitten and beaten by ICO scams that I dread them like leprosy. OP, it would be much in your favour if you took your project to IDO and find a reputable launchpad for it.

I am suggesting that you look to the general aviation industry and find out things that need improvement and from there come up with innovations that people can use and can benefit the whole industry. Building an airplane can be a type of a dreamy idea but if I am located somewhere else what benefit will that bring to me? This project is worth a billion dollars fund to contract manufacturing factory for aircraft. There's no way an ICO can possibly fulfill your financial needs even though you're claiming that you will build a low cost project since your success depends on your output profitability. In business perspective, No one will gonna invest on this kind of idea because its a too good to be true to become a sustainable business.

Why not focus on aircraft designing rather than manufacturing which requires tons of funds to make it feasible?

What you are trying to build or your business model has nothing to do with cryptocurrencies. Incorporating cryptocurrency into your startup will be absurd. Even If you are truly here looking into just find some investor, it rather will complicate your business model. If your goal is to find some cash, the traditional way to find an investor will be much better, I believe if you are here in this space there will be much mundane legality required for your startup.

if you have found a good use case of blockchain in the field of aircraft manufacturing then simply launch your startups, if the business model is great you could easily gets some funds from the mass fundraising like crowdfunding but as anyone here have said ICO is kinda dead, the better way is working together with popular platform like binance, although they requires strict validity of your startup you will get massive benefits if you startup gets approved by the platform.
as you could figure it out yourself that these kind of platform like the ones that binance has, usually could get you a massive funding and could be a really great start in building your startups. honestly if your projects are of that great quality, you could just easily gets approved by the platform.

Since when did the ICO become dead? In 2021 this industry had a big surge and many big projects like moonbeam, solana, etc, they all had initial coin offerings through launchpads. No matter what this form of investor engagement was called (ido, sho, ieo, etc), they were ico sales that offered to buy coins before they went on the major trading floors. I personally don't see a project of this magnitude getting any success from ICO. I may sound pessimistic, but airline business is widely known to be capital intensive and bringing the volatility of cryptocurrency to such an industry would spell doom for the developers and users of the service.
