Others care for their privacy but use real names on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram with their bunch of selfies and pictures posted online. If the gambling site we are referring to is popular, I doubt by complying with their KYC, our identity is already at risk right away. We should already use it on complying with it.

I also don't like the KYC on the gambling sites but if necessary, I will comply with it as we have no choice. But again, only on trusted gambling sites that I consider and not on those new ones no matter how good their promotion is.

Realizing how negatively kyc is seen by many players mostly in cryptocurrency casinos players am confused what kyc does in a casino, why do some casino operators have kyc and others don't have. I email also a part of kyc because most casinos often than not request email. What are KYC's advantages and disadvantages.
Can we trust a certain platform with KYC? of course not, they cannot guarantee at all that our data will be absolutely safe. But sometimes, we have no a choice if we want to play in the casino. If we don't want KYC, just go on with non-KYC casinos. there are also some reputable options of the platforms.

Others care for their privacy but use real names on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram with their bunch of selfies and pictures posted online. If the gambling site we are referring to is popular, I doubt by complying with their KYC, our identity is already at risk right away. We should already use it on complying with it.
Make sense.
Commonly we have the hobby to spread our personal identity in the social media but of course, it may be different with the ID card or national card or other documents which are very sensitive to be used for crimes over there. However, actually, all of our personal data and also photos that were spreading in the social media is also risky enough. It seems one of the impact of the digital era, the gap of privac maybe sometimes very small.

The point is, it's not the first time that we are dealing with KYC. I'm sure others will admit that they comply with KYC in not popular crypto exchanges before just to trade their airdrop tokens. Here in gambling, KYC shouldn't be demanded but for these gambling sites to make their operation be more legit, they have no choice but to follow the standard procedure provided by the regulators. We just need to choose a reputable gambling site on that matter that already considered as one of the trusted sites in the whole crypto-gambling.

On the time comes that every gambling business would really be needing to be having that license or need some sort of permissions then it would really be talking about regulation from the government
and its true that we've been dealing with KYC even just talking with regular engagement or requirements on other things which it do leaves us no choice but to comply with it.
Majority doesnt really like KYC but time comes that we couldnt really avoid it but to deal with it.

For example, the Stake team offers a 15% boost for bonuses on lvl2 KYC while it is above 20% for KYC level 3 users. It doesn't worth passing KYC if solely purpose is to hunt bonuses but it adds quite a good amount for high rollers.

But if you regularly play on that site, that's a good advantage. It's like just a bonus since when we are complying with KYC, we are not expecting perks like that. We can't have an offer like that just by passing KYC on any other gambling sites.

As long as it's not mandatory, just enjoy the non-KYC today. If it's asked, then comply or choose other sites.

They're mandated by their government. As much as they don't want to require KYC, it is the government that forces them to take KYC from their customers.

Yes

But the government is also responsible for protection of people's sensitive and personal datas !  So while some services must know the real identifier of a user because of the nature and purpose of the service, why make it mandatory also for services that are more likely not!

If it is a practice made to facilitate or favor any operation or intervention of any governmental domain, certain rights of persons must normally be given priority and are in fact subject to higher legal guarantees!

Yes, there's the advantage that we see to it for what they think is right and as well as the disadvantage that we see based on what we think as well.
It's like give and take for everybody and as always, the government is the one that enforces these rules for the sake of everybody. But just as we want to think, it's all about the regulation and control that they impose due to the personal benefit of the government.

In the first place, we don't see this KYC on gambling sites and even exchanges before. We can use them freely without the need of providing personal documents and ID's. Since when did they start to ask these of their users? After regulations are hitting up the whole crypto-world and the government is stepping in, these operators and owners don't have a choice but to make their service comply with the law.

We have to accept the fact that someday, KYC is everywhere no matter how we are against it.

Realizing how negatively kyc is seen by many players mostly in cryptocurrency casinos players am confused what kyc does in a casino, why do some casino operators have kyc and others don't have. I email also a part of kyc because most casinos often than not request email. What are KYC's advantages and disadvantages.
KYC verifications are only for the benefit of the site since they can get your details that can give you an access to their site, they are doing this to avoid any fraud and money laundering which they are being obliged to report with. Pros and cons is only for the security of both parties, there are still some site who didn’t require any KYC, you have the option to gamble with them instead.

That's the logical thing to think why KYC's are required. If there's no problem with the account, users should find no problem complying with it not unless the site is giving more reasons that their KYC is failed making the withdrawal pending for long.

But I think, it was just highlighted today but some gambling sites already asking KYC, especially for big wins even way back before. It was on the TOS. It makes sense to do for verification on that case but I know some big rollers are not happy with it.

Honestly I still don't know why most gambling platform decide to make KYC compulsory which I thibk should not be so. The use of KYC may have good reason to the gambling operators, but to players, it's total no

The answer is pretty simple. They have to do it to get a license in certain countries. It's either KYC or running unregistered which means their site can be blocked at any moment and they could face legal backlash. Also, to them it's just math. If they enter a new region and gain 10% traffic but lose 8% of people who won't do KYC, it's still worth it.

Some gambling platform are regulated which the use of KYC is important when it comes to taxes, fine, restrictions and others.
Simple, legality issues. It's mostly due to their provider, or the country they are licensed in, which requires them to do KYC on certain situations (or maybe, on all occasions really) so that they can comply with the laws and whatnot that the country has. Honestly, I think most casinos wouldn't even bother KYC requirements if it weren't for those, it is additional work and I highly doubt they'd lose money if they didn't implement it, they might even earn more.

Plus, if they didn't, they'd be well something of a "banned, illegal site", which would turn away most players. With the label of a "legal casino", they can invite new players.

That's it. It is simply about lack of choice. I don't imagine a crypto casino choosing to implement KYC because they prefer to do it. They should have opened a fiat casino instead. But what choice do they have? The regulation or the law requires that they should put up mechanisms to know their clients. And it is not just a yes or a no on the part of the crypto casino. What is in line is their license, their operation, their business. It is either they comply or they pack up and leave.

Well Stake is really a generous in regards to their players and  now as KYC is being required of many countries stake is trying to push their players to conduct this KYC so their perks will increase compared to non KYC players.

Indeed , there are many gambling site that does not require KYC verification so if you are not a fan of  that then choose other site .

Realizing how negatively kyc is seen by many players mostly in cryptocurrency casinos players am confused what kyc does in a casino, why do some casino operators have kyc and others don't have. I email also a part of kyc because most casinos often than not request email. What are KYC's advantages and disadvantages.
Wrong , they did not see it as negatively but for safeties of their account and their personalities .
so why not apply KYC if you are safer with that?

Yeah i deny having KYC in the past , but now? i support this in site that has trustworthy names , because i know in the end of everything ? my activities will be safer and will be having a great gambling experience .

Some country with majority with Moslem person they not allowed using gambling site, but have some person looks enjoy and fun with playing gambling so they not want their data open to public about he was active on gambling site. I think better have an option with gambling site not really ask and have rule with KYC document ID, not all member are agree with KYC ideas because he want unknow by any one when playing gambling. Choosing crypto gambling because can hidden bank document with many local gambling site use bank for deposit but in crypto can hidden data when deposit trough cryptocurrency.

If the crypto casinos still use KYC completely, they will not have a chance to grow and have many members because their members who care about privacy will not do KYC and will search for the other casinos.
Gambling is prohibited in a country with a majority Moslem person. It will not tolerate if their people play gambling but people are smart enough to hide their gambling activity and that is why there are underground casinos that allow people to play without doing KYC.
If the casinos do not apply strict KYC, that will make gamblers feel okay and comfortable playing in their place and maybe that can be a place for people to spend their money by playing many games.
The casinos see this as their opportunity to get more members by doing limitations on the KYC to make money from many members still and do not have a problem with gamblers who avoid the KYC.

The most common reasons why people are preferring the crypto casinos is due to their privacy and you don't have to reveal your personal identity to anyone which is basically third person like government. But due to implementation of these KYC norms many feels hesitate to play over that sort of casino and this is most debatable topic in crypto market like some are fine with it while others prefer complete anonymity. So it's our personal choice we can play with KYC or simply choose casino like Stake who doesn't need it.

Very true. Without KYC, there will be many people who want to visit and play gambling games on the casino sites. They must be interested to join because they are no longer needed to submit their private data to casino sites. I agree that requiring KYC is very annoying, I doubt that my private data isn't very secure to submit there. KYC sometimes ruins the happiness of playing gambling games, we feel uncomfortable because of that necessity.

Expect a casino to have a KYC if they have a license, this is compliant with their license issuer money laundering agreement, always be ready with your document even if you do not expect the casino to ask for KYC, once you joined a casino with the license they are legit and compliant with the existing laws and part of this is asking KYC from their players either random or if they think one account is questionable.

First of all you need to understand that there's always a law about regulating gambling activities in every country. Any business that has fiat money involve is required to apply KYC to there customers for there compliant to the law. The casino really want to have more players and they know that KYC is slowing it down but no one is above the law so they are force to do this to keep there business alive. Take note that the casino has a gambling license which requires them to cooperate to regulators while license is what players always looking before they trust the Casino.

How Ironic that people keeps condoning KYC while heavily relying on a centralized services like license before they start to trust a casino.  Grin

I absolutely agree with you. This is one of the debates where it is difficult to determine the correctness of one or another decision. I understand both players who are doing everything they can to minimize the likelihood of their personal data being leaked and players who don't resist the demands of regulators.

It is quite possible that in a while, passing the KYC will become as common as showing your documents when buying a plane ticket.
