The major reason why dogecoin came to limelight is because of the hype it secured from influencers especially from the Tesla boss. It is obvious that dogecoin has been on the low for a while now and may need another big news to make it trend again. Secondly, it would take a whole lot of effort for dogecoin to get to $1, though I recall it once traded at about 0.6$.

yes, I agree that Doge is a special memecoin because it has Elon Musk as its main supplier. this makes the price of doge to be as high as it is today. however, for the price of $1, this year may still be very difficult. Dogecoin can already be used to buy Tesla merchandise, and pay in dogecoin on supercharge stations. Dogecoin is already involved in Tesla inc life. But $1 is not even close. By looking on current market and world, dogecoin will be least favorable altcoin to recover. I think current year will be year of stablecoins and Bitcoin. I also think that we will never see dogecoin reaching ATH, as everyone has already saw how manipulative this altcoin is, how easy it is to loose money with it. The trick of dogecoin (if we put aside the fact of meme) was cheap transactions. Now we have plenty of blockchains who can offer same. Why buy dogecoin, when there are more promising blockchains around?

My view may be and in the last few months, not only has Dogecoin experienced a decline in price, other coins/tokens have also been the same especially this week around $0.11. Huge jump in price from around $0.74 in 2021 last May. While it may seem possible to reach those numbers take time and process, there are many factors that can stop that from happening plus corrections are very vulnerable at any time.

From the beginning I doubted that Dogecoin would reach $1 per token, because the hype for Dogecoin has ended in 2021, the possibility of strengthening is definitely there, but for higher prices it is very difficult, imagine if one CEO can make the coin strengthen, there will be more and more CEOs. will promote other coins/tokens, but because the hype doesn't apply to all coins, very few CEOs are willing to do that, so it's not only this song that makes coins/tokens grow and strengthen, sometimes even bigger hype affects it.

Doge's last ATH was at $0.731578 - May 08, 2021, if there wasn't a correction it would be certain that Doge would be able to reach $1 earlier, but that didn't happen. With the achievements that have been made, it is certain that doge has the ability to do that, although once again the role of @elonmusk who always provides support for doge is highly anticipated. without @elonmusk's role obviously doge would be meaningless and many will likely leave.

there's always time for doge to do that this year and we can be sure because @elonmusk's support continues to this day. maybe if bitcoin has improved it will happen that doge can achieve it.

Uncommon word means: something that is not popular but everyone knows doge coin. It is an old coin and it is been mentioned by famous celebrities. Instead you can say that it is different compare to most meme coins that can come and go. Now that dogecoin has been mentioned again by Elon or Tesla, the hype is alive again.

This could lead for the coin to recover and it can be possible now that it will hit 1 dollar. Just be careful and do not put your whole trust in this coin because we know the tesla company and Elon Musk, they can change their minds easily and they can disapprove doge coin again whenever they liked it. Dogecoin isn't going to be easy to hit $1 and I don't think it's going to happen. If along the way it turns out to be, then it's just luck. Elon Musk's influence in making Dogecoin as great as it once was has diminished because people already know his ways. When Elon tweeted on his Twitter account that he was allowing people to get Tesla to be able to pay using Dogecoin it seemed normal to me, because it was one of the strategies to raise Dogecoin.

Now we're all in the year the OP mentioned 2022, even though it's only the beginning of feb, it's not something to be questioning about dogecoin.

I believe that 2022 doge will be much cheaper than today, what's more, to reach $1, it's a bit difficult to reach $1, 2024 is a big hope for that, and even then, I still hope.

I don't see that happening anytime soon, not with the present state of the market. That coin do not have the potential of reaching that price, except something drastic happens. But for now, no, it can't achieve that price.
