I wouldn't say reliable though, that can mean that you can just pull off your bitcoin anytime and still get a profit, I think it's more on trusted rather than reliable. Remember that investing is risky and there's no such thing as a reliable investment because all of them are vulnerable to bear markets and that could spell disaster for someone who thought that they're reliable.

^ You have made a point on this and I agree that there is no reliable investment but BTC belongs to the investment that you could trust to hold and gain profit when there is a healthy market after buying on it. I agree with you. By having 3 investment methods for bitcoin, we can choose which one is the best for us to get profit. Maybe we can make all 3 investments at once so if we take a short-term investment, we can sell some of the amounts we bought at a low price and take the profit. Meanwhile, we can hold other amounts for middle and long-term investment, which will benefit us in the future.

We will only sell bitcoins for a long-term investment when the price reaches the top price. But it will all depend on the strategies and plans we make and hopefully we can get big profits.

Yes.... so far it seems as though Bitcoin is recovering after every large drop in the price, so it gives people multiple opportunities to make a profit. Let me give you an example of what one of my friends did, when he bought at the all-time-high price of $18 000 and then when it dropped to $3000 and it took 3 years to recover.

He jumped in on $18 000 ...thinking that it will go much higher... but... the opposite happened. The price took a nose dive to $3000 and it took 3 years to get back to $18 000. So other people will never invest in something like that, but he said... f%^&k that, he bought 5 bitcoins at $3500 and he hoarded...and hoarded...and hoarded.... then the price recovered to $18 000, but he still did not sell, he just continued to hoard.

He eventually sold at $60 000 and made a profit of over $300 000 ......... (nothing else performed that well over the same period)

Your friend really has strong nerves as he saw his investment going down from 18k to 3k and even then he averaged his investment by buying more BTC at 3500$. One key rule of every investment sector is that never buy when price of token, stock or any-other commodity is at its peak, its time when whales are selling and vice versa. Bitcoin isn't really the first cryptocurrency,  before Bitcoin we have had b-money and Digicash although both failed because the were more centralized and was very open to government manipulation. The byzantine General problem which Satoshi was able to tackle is actually what  gave Bitcoin it's edge. I wouldn't really say that both were active "currencies" like what Bitcoin is today because, for Digicash, "transactions were unique in that they were anonymous due to a number of cryptographic protocols developed by its founder." declared bankruptcy in 1998 so we can agree on centralization but,
b-money , it was one of the early, proposed cryptocurrencies but was never officially launched so we can't really say it was centralized and had every similarity with what Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have today. You are right, if you have a strong hands to hold then Bitcoin is the best investment for you, I will also suggest to also have another investment from altcoins which show high potential last year 2021, I prefer on investing on other coin also so that I will not be bored on waiting for Bitcoin to rise up soon.

Thousands of alts have been abandoned and exited in this market, and yet, bitcoin is still maintaining its top position. It is more than a decade that no coin or token has replaced bitcoin, and I think, no alt will ever replaced its position for the next 5 years or so. This is why if you are a beginner in this market, better explore the bitcoin market first and then, just go with other alts once you are equipped with knowledge that may aid you in making a mistake with alt investments.

BTC may always face some difficulties because of FUD, but so far, it will be able to recover again. Although right now, the price of Bitcoin is still very volatile, more to drop more ignificant. But, it doesn't mean to decrease the value. We can still keep holding while waiting for the next bullish era.

For altcoin itself, some are worthy, but mostly they are shit coins. So, becareful when going to invest in altcoins.

Not decrease for a long time? Are you sure you are ready to invest in bitcoin and other crypto currencies? Back in 2017, bitcoin went up as high as 20k and went down back to 3k. The same thing can happen again. In fact, the price went down from $60k to $36k. So always be prepared for the price to crash.
Most of the top altcoins shouldn't be disappointing you unless you have decided to invest in one of those shitcoins that promised you a lambo.
