It would have been better if they implemented doge or litecoin instead. These coins have still cheap transaction fees and you don't have to use second layer stuff which is not as user friendly as the first layer solutions. Doge has been a main stream crypto for years. People should use it as a currency instead of trying to get rich from it imo.

You and I know very well that they are only going to select the cryptocurrencies that are very popular. Bitcoin and ethereum are the most popular cryptocurrencies there is, and that’s what most of the people are likely to be making use of, so that’s what they would add to their platform.

Dogecoin and the Litecoin are not really that popular, most people don’t even know about these coins, except Dutch coin that happened to have a bullish trend this year, but even at that nobody is really interested in Doge coin, except for those who just wants to hop on it and make money through it, because of trend.

Surely Ethereum is a one way forward step from Bitcoin and after that we all can assume more cryptos would follow. Similar to how most exchanges like coinbase started, with bitcoin first and a new popular alt now and than and a large number of them within few years. Similar could be the tipping scenario and they are using third party for the functions, it would be even more easier for them when the third party is handling a lot of options.

Really one of the coolest features I have seen them adding as of recent. I have been making use of it, but not Ethereum, I have been making use of Bitcoin address for the tips on the platform.

I have never really considered Ethereum, although the high gas fees issues has been fixed and the new update that is coming in will do better, but Bitcoin has been a better choice for me whenever I want to use cryptocurrency in receiving payment from anywhere. Twitter has really been rolling out features in support of cryptocurrency, they even added NFT features as of recent.

Looks like this project stopped because I never saw a link that leads to give and receive ethereum tips, and the tweet of the source is no longer available, maybe twitter is considering the other side for example avoiding countries that are still banned cryptocurrencies.

I was unable to find anything about tips through the desktop application. Only through the mobile app (both, Android and iOS), I can add my BTC and ETH address to receive tips. although from any other accounts I still don't have the option to share tips.
Brave browser has that possibility, tips in BAT. Maybe even twitter could look in that direction.
