If the OP makes his victim whole, he should have his trust issues resolved. Although as I mentioned, I think the chances are high that this person engaged in similar behavior in the past.

You are not allowed to spam referral links in forum posts. Sending a ref link in a PM is acceptable, as long as you are not sending an unsolicited PM.

In this case, OP sends the affiliates link via PM. I hope OP will clarify if that guy was agreed before he send the PM.

I believe it is okay to send a referral link if it is in agreement with the other party; the rules only apply to unsolicited PMs. For example, sending PMs to a large number of recipients you have not communicated with before is an absolute no-no.

Thanks for the Clarification. I don't know if OP has sent a PM to a large number of recipients that he has not communicated before. If he did that, He deserves the Tag.

It is al longer known that many DT members are abusing their DT status, and operating with many of their alt accounts.
The big question I also have how on earth it is possible and allowed why accounts who are working for sportsbet.io doe have a DT status? That is unfair and unethical, but sportsbet.io is pumping a lot of money into the forum.

Do you even understand what he has said? And Why OP was Tagged? Your post doesn't make any sense. You should read all the posts before commenting like that. I don't think he abusing the DT Status. I don't think He works with Sportsbet's. He wears Sportsbet's Signature doesn't mean he works for them. If so, I can say you work for Most Known and hated Scam Casino 1xBit and you help them to scam people.

If someone receives an unsolicited commercial PM, they should report the PM. If the OP has a single infraction of sending unsolicited spam PMs, they will likely receive a warning from a mod without a ban, or at worst a temp ban lasting a few days.

Well, I have a question. OP didn't send him the promised amount of 1 LTC. And the guy exposed him and the OP was tagged. What if OP sends him 1 LTC? The rules will be changed? Since referral code (ref link) is not allowed. How these rules exactly works? How you will catch someone if the receiver doesn't expose him? Hope someone will help me understand.
Regarding 1LTC if OP give the required LTC then the negative tag/tags should be removed. Regarding referral link I don't think we should tag. If we see referral link either on private message or on forum public post we should make a report and the post/message will be deleted and there is a highly chance that the account will be banned.

For the record, the feedback I left wasn't simply because of a single unsolicited pm with aff link.  It was the pm plus behavior in the thread I mentioned: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382115.0

My issue is not necessarily with the OP sending spam PMs with referral links. My issue is with the OP promising to pay someone 1 LTC in exchange for signing up via his referral link, the victim accepting the offer by signing up via the OP's referral link, and the OP not following through on his promise.

The referral spam is certainly annoying, but is not something I would agree that negative trust is warranted for. It is the OP not honoring his promise that I believe makes the negative trust appropriate.

If op kept his/her words regarding the 1ltc commission then the case would not arise. So, the first part and important part is that so-called 1LTC. And then arose the second part about unsolicited pm. If unsolicited pm would be the first part then the account of the OP would be banned.
