This price is very good as compared to developed countries as well. I do think we will soon be seeing an era where the small countries take over the mining. This could help them financially as well. The redistribution of wealth is very long due.
Not only in Kazakhstan but also in other countries where we can have cheap energy sources in order to convert them to electricity for mining. El Salvador is one of such countries with free thermo-energy from volcanoes.

With mining, it is risky if you have to invest into mining rigs, ASICs in case of Bitcoin, pay for electricity bills and in some periods, with market bearish or crashes, you will have to afford to temporary loses. It is why in some periods, we see big capitulation from weak miners. If miners use cheap or free energy, they won't capitulate too easily.

I think you're putting too much confidence in the average investors logic Cheesy. I'm pretty sure certain investors have been fooled several times about Bitcoin being a bubble, and x country bans Bitcoin, and therefore we're going to see it go down to zero. The thing is most of the news is rehashed crap, and there's generally never any real reason to listen to them, as it's mostly pushing their own agendas.
They are just manipulated by news, bans, FUDs but if they have strong belief, diamond hands, and don't have pressure from margin call, they can keep holding, keep mining and wait for better times to take profit.

New country harboring alot of the hashpower, from the majority of Chinese exporting their mining equipment there, same tactics.

Is it? When the internet was down, all that lot of hash power... was not missing...
Dependent on the pools they were mining too.
You can check the CN pools that their customers were having them mine too.
They are hosting the Chinese equipment after all so the pool's hashpower could be directed to those top of the chart mining pools.
Or just maybe the Chinese mining companies got smart and distributed their hashpower to another pool.
Who the **** knows except for them.
Rule No.1: Never underestimate of what they can do to what you know. As with anything in life. Wink

If the government no longer supports bitcoin, of course everything will be done to stifle the growth of bitcoin and the mining process.
this is also because 8% of electrical energy is used by bitcoin miners which has an impact on mass electricity usage.
Here the importance of using renewable alternative energy. Miners should use environmentally friendly and renewable energy.

Dependent on the pools they were mining too.
The miner still has to connect to the pool over the internet and if there is no internet they can't connect to any mining pool regardless of which one they chose. Although there are workarounds, such as using satelite themselves but I don't think any of them had planned ahead, since this was not expected. Keep in mind that the hashrate did drop but only a little which means the whole "crippling bitcoin network" thing is not true.

Interesting occurrence that just developed.
A post from another thread indicates there is a problem with mining in this region afterall:
What do they mean by Illegal Mining Farms?

https://twitter.com/WatcherGuru/status/1496001293500002306
They probably deem them illegal due to the restrain on the power situation in the country during the past couple of months.

They probably deem them illegal due to the restrain on the power situation in the country during the past couple of months.

It can be anything from blatant stealing of electricity to not declaring themselves as mining business and paying the related taxes and the different price for electricity...
I'm curious whether will there be any visible effect on the hash rate...
