blackhatcoiner. you were the one that said they cant censor cash..

and now you want to hide behind you not caring about how much cash has been censored to hide your unawareness  that cash can be censored

maybe you want to hide behind the ignorance of the amount of bitcoin thats been seized by authorities too
maybe like your unawareness of the 95K bitcoin bitfinex stolen stash.. you know the 95k of 119k stash that stayed on a private key for 5 years and never entered a third party exchange. but was seized because the authorities traced the culprits of the binfinex stolen stash and raided the private key due to the dumb culprits leaving it in a place for the authorities to find.

there is a difference between bitcoin the network being brute force impossible via network intrusion. vs coins being censorship resistant. vs censorable via human intervention
just shouting 'cant censor' is being very loose with words that end up making what you say opposite to fact

especially when you then dont care about actual numbers of actual funds that have been censored

"censored": "to examine and suppress unacceptable parts of it."
china censored bitcoin

it might help if you actually help try to explain the pitfalls of certain things. like the human error aspect that makes bitcoin not anonymous but pseudonymous
that way people know they have to put some effort in, to protect their own privacy. rather then fall for the utopian rhetoric fallacy that they are default protected by bitcoin even if they mouth off on youtube about their association to specific funds

you know..
how people falsly think that because they are depositing bitcoin into an exchange they think that fiat rules dont apply. because certain people have been saying how bitcoin cant be censored thus make people falsely believe that bitcoins are safe to put into exchanges and the exchanges cant do anything about it..... reality is they can

so maybe be a little more honest about how the situation really is without using ignorance as a defence to pretend your opinion counts, simply because you didnt know any better.. you know better, so try saying it better. dont become a doomad

you know better, so try saying it better
And you, franky, try to not post exactly what you're having in your head. Filter it. I can't always find the time to read your 369 words long nonsense.

Everything can be censored in the way you've interpreted. Nothing is censorship resistant. Everyone can become the victim of a $5 wrench attack. Everyone can be examined. Does that make things susceptible to censorship? No. It's me who's susceptible to it. No one can reverse a Bitcoin transaction, but they can force me to.

china censored bitcoin
Making Bitcoin illegal and censoring it is not the same thing...

blackhatcoiner.
you have selective reading. your main flaw. here ill say it again. its actually referencing this thing called a dictionary. a very big wall of text book. maybe you heard of it. but doubt you read it. (based on your own admission of your limitations you set upon yourself)

here is the definition again
"censored": "to examine and suppress unacceptable parts of it."
china censored bitcoin

yep china did 'examine and suppress unacceptable parts of it'.
HOW they done it could, was, is, and can be in many different forms.

you seem to have the time to google a word counter, copy my post into it to check the number of words..(pointless task by the way).
but you never seem to have that same time to look up or research things properly.(very odd motivations you have)

if your not prepared to learn or expand your knowledge outside of your pre-set notions. limitations. thats on you.
if you do have issues being able to read 369 words. thats a problem for you to solve about your own limitations, rather than trying to put limitations on others.
EG i certainly know you refuse to read the words of the court order, due to your own admitted limitations. yea the court order is one hell of a wall of text, but its worth reading. then you can/might learn how the courts done things and who triggered the courts. to atleast have then an informed opinion. rather than your ignorant opinion

hey im not going to ask you to be banned(your tactic), nor get you to move over to things like twitter that does have a message character limit more fitting to your limitations..

the main thing i only ask of people is to do more research to help themselves be more informed, and inform the community better,  instead of your dreamt up utopian fantasy, which actually does people a disservice

oh and yea Mr Censor guy, you want me to talk only in certain topics, filter my words, talk in short sentences or face getting banned..
hmm.. very revealing

your hypocrisy and ignorant flaws are your failings. things you should sort out with yourself, without trying to get the world to change to suit you.

[...]
Why can't you ever have a normal conversation without offending people? Why, among all this nonsense, do you also need to be rude? What on Earth have I done to you to call me a hypocrite?

here is the definition again
"censored": "to examine and suppress unacceptable parts of it."
And I tried to differentiate the meaning of censorship when it comes to those who use it and when it comes to the functionality, generally. It turned out a waste of time since you only think in ones and zeroes.

what have you done?
you try to pretend you are libertarian and open to freedom and then want people to be banned, to filter, and to limit their words..
that is hypocrisy and also contradictory.

if you do not like people pointing out your flaws. dont make your flaws so noticeable.

you dont like people noticing your limitations you set upon yourself. yet you are part of a group that tries to say other people have flaws first. so expect them to poke back mentioning your flaws.
you know.. common sense. if you punch someone. dont be surprised if they punch back. and yea dont play victim pretending your innocent when you get hit back.

or
if you dont like when people respond when your own set limitation become something you demand others to change, to match your limitations
..maybe look into your own limitations. and expand them, rather then trying to limit others

dont be afraid to step out of your limited views of your friend group.
be willing to learn more then your pets, friends are capable of
be confident to step outside of your comfort zone

as for whom is more binary limited.
Making Bitcoin illegal and censoring it is not the same thing...
seems you are the one that doesnt realise that censorship is not binary, and can happen in many ways and still be defined as censorship

i was the one that was telling you the range of censorship impossible, resistant, etc (multiscale, not binary)
i was the one telling you different aspects have different scales of censorship ability.

i now expect some non-sense millennial response such as how someone is free to dream what they like, and believe it as their truth because their freedom of religion reinforces their dreams as their truth.(standard millennial crap)

but yea its a silly excuse and nonsense rebuttal for an ignorant person to stay ignorant...  its just millennial laziness to not want to learn, by using silly excuses to defend their reason for ignorance

It's wholesome for freedom to have certain limitations, if you want my opinion. I'm not a hypocrite because of this.

My takeaway here is that in the face of the governmental power to enforce freezing of assets including digital ones, centralized exchanges got no alternative but to follow any order coming from those in authority...and so in this case we are actually contradicting the assumed benefits of cryptocurrency and that is being able to do transactions away from the eyes and controls of the government. I am sure that this latest story of the truckers in Canada and their use of Bitcoin can be a reference for the future discussions of cryptocurrency and how to make sure that no power be it coming from the government or institutions can imposed their will for whatever reason especially those involving politically-infused events.

the take away from this is to know that allotment of coins can be censored by s.w.a.t teams knocking down suspects doors and arresting them, by the fbi and cybercrimes from accessing peoples cloud storage/emails, by courts making court orders to individuals and businesses
by SEC/fincen using regulation to stop regulated businesses.

if you are holding coin meant for other people. PAY them ASAP, in a few confirms time, no silly excuses about things that can take days/weeks.. settle up and absolve self of any responsibility.

and so, its up to people to up their game in regards to their own personal security and anonymity. bitcoin can look after itself but bitcoin does not look after the keyholders in their hand, foot and mouth movements. the point of failure is the humans hand foot and mouth movements

dont go announcing yourself publicly that you have the coins and waste days explaining how you want to move them around before paying out. just pay out. avoid the risks of others finding you and stopping you(the human) before you get to pay out.

yes you can use bitcoin features like multisig to spread the risk EG a 7 of 10 where by if your arrested and they find out about 1 or 2 others involved the coins can still be distributed. but if you are mentioning all 10 names, you have just wasted any chance.

bitcoin addresses do not announce peoples names. but people can announce bitcoin addresses.
people need to take more responsibilities for their actions or absolve their responsibility by paying out and no longer having control of the coins
