No body is perfect,  no body is above mistakes and no body is Mr right. but the way and manner use is what matters a lot, you may be good in some aspects and at the other hand you are not, people learn everyday and that is why the word learning is in existence. you don't just talk to people any how because they made a mistake, when mistakes are not done one can't learn and if you are in the position to correct that person the way and manner which you use matters a lot. you don't just talk to people because you feel you know it all or you think you can't make mistakes remember that person which you think is no good and not perfect may be the one to help you in some aspects which you are lacking behind. this life is turn by turn. also remember that the person who you think is not perfect today may be good tomorrow.

Rich, you should know that this is a citadel for learning, for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. You should also know that this is an open place with different people from different regions, the least is to expect similar response from different people.

You are new here perhaps not to bitcoin but there are ways which things are done here which you have to follow, the thread you opened is similar to what been done by many users.
Take a look at this reply by Falcon [here] Ratimov has done already what you posted and it is well organized than yours and merit was fairly earned for your effort.

. Plagiarism is not a small mistake. The punishment for plagiarism is permanent ban. You're right no one knows it all including you. Corrections are part of learning process. Don't feel bad about being corrected. Your topic was well received and awarded merits. Falcon pointed the truth you may have not known, there was no disrespectful words. I was never anger that I was corrected for my mistakes, I was glad that my mistakes was make known to me to avoid further mistakes.

I would have p.m. my attacker but as a newbie I did not have the privilege to send message that is the main reason why I brought it up here so that he can see and understand how very sorry I'm. I didn't know that there was already a topic related to the one I did.

There shouldn’t be a need to publicly pull your trousers down in this manner (so as to say). I would probably have simply moved on, as it doesn't seem to be that big a deal (perhaps I missed something - in light of the above I probably did - care to personally clarify Rich222 ?).

Many people make redundant topics to some extent, and way more people make redundant or meaningless comments all over the forum on a regular basis. One thing to consider is that everyone is entitled to post (for the most anyway), and although some people will obviously know a heck of a lot more than others will, people are entitled to start from somewhere and build up from there.

Don't get offended when someone criticize or correct you of your mistakes. This is an open forum so there's always someone who will attack you or criticize. Don't worry if you got nothing to hide and those attacks won't mean nothing unless you are hiding something. Make sure you remember that you also made mistakes and mistakes will help you learn from it. The one thing you should remember when you are in this platform or community and that is to follow the rules or getting ban if you break one of the rules that will get you ban like plagiarism. You also have to admit your mistakes and not evading your mistakes.

One piece of the advice from someone who has been active on various forums for the last ~20 years: grow thicker skin or you won't have a very good time here, or on any other forum for that matter. That's just how it goes on forums, like on real life; you may say some some things that other people won't like or agree with and they will respond. In the end, that's what forums are all about, exchange the ideas. In the end, you always have ignore option.

Yep, its pretty much obvious that he was behind Edith1994 as well. And yet again he is doing the similar mistake of rushing too hard to scoop the merit which got banned him in the first place.

I don't think we should care how people give merits. I have seen a post given 50 merits just because the giver wanted to prove a point. OP did not admit the banned account Edith1994 belongs to him even though Ratimov had reasons to believe the accounts were connected because of the similarities in writing style and post pattern.

The drama is becoming interesting though, what I wonder is how newbies try hard so much in the wrong direction. The efforts used in creating these multiple posts and/or accounts, if direction towards learning about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, it will be beneficial to the newbies and the forum as well.

As for the OP, you will grow when you begin to accept criticism. You shouldn't be pained when corrected, no one made it smoothly to the top. I was corrected most times, but one thing is that, once gotten the correction, I strive not to make similar mistakes again.

Advice: Try and understand the core essence of this forum, then channel your efforts towards it and you will enjoy this space.

Actually i still do not get the main point in all of this, mind you that your thread you linked above isn't a bad one, and you got a couple of merits from it, you were only corrected and advised to use the search button as another user had made a similar topic before, and that is normal, every now and then users make topics that have been discussed time and again, and they are encouraged to use the search button, it is nothing peculiar to you. Having said that, i think it is very far from it that the thread above is the bone of contention here, then why not try and be explicit and maybe link some of the attacks you have been receiving and try to clarify them.

This whole appeal and correction business is puzzling. Was this thread created as a appeal for the banned account or to apologize for low quality post? I'm waiting to hear what OP has to say about the accusations. He got himself into this one.

Right we are not dealing with all like minded people and this forum also has diversity of users who share different thoughts in their mindset and you cannot conceive them all with what you have said so it's better to be part of healthy discussion but also ignore some comments and deal it as forum.This is intended to share knowledge and discuss ideas and opinions and it differs.

The OP is too obsessed with merits, overlooking concepts such as usefulness, secondariness, or plagiarism. Therefore, he works not for quality, but for quantity, churning out topics that do not open anything new, but only repeat what has already been previously published. I agree with this, so I began to bypass such topics and not pay attention to them.

It is the intention of many new members here to make big post citing the main issues which are directly copied and then portray them as theirs without any source.They are in rush to gain merits like @OP so that they can rank up a little bit so as to earn on forum but what's the fun of that? Your account will get ban so instead of understanding the true importance of this forum which is exchange of knowledge between members and enhance your knowledge and make quality post they choose the other way which leads to ban only.

I don't think we should care how people give merits. I have seen a post given 50 merits just because the giver wanted to prove a point.

The merit system was intended to improve the post quality on forum and reduce the spam posting but if some merit abuse is occurring then also we should not care at all? I have seen members giving out large number of merits to some bounty reports submission also so what point they were proving according to you? The deserving members or post should get it and we should care for it.
