2. Binance - will donate $10 000 000 to Ukraine, and will also organize a campaign to raise $20 000 000 for the needs of Ukraine:

Binance was initially requested to freeze Russian accounts in their platform, which they denied to do so (thankfully).

It is much better to support Ukraine by donating directly, like Binance did, than by freezing Russian civilians crypto.

As far as I understand, not one famous crypto exchange has yet taken such a step, even American Coinbase. There are reports of blocking ru-users by Ukrainian exchanges (Kuna, BTC-Alpha, etc), as well as selective bans of Russian users by such an American exchange as Bittrex.

But in general, exchanges remain loyal to Russian clients.
Idk why they should do that or any services would do, russians, mostly civilians are also victims of the war. The actions of their government should not be used as reasons to blame them and push them to the edge, no one wants war, only their state leaders.

Ukraine is making this war look like it is everybody's business. The president is calling for help and asking people to be recruited into the army to help them fight Russia but they are the same people preventing blacks at the borders from entering into Poland. Although I do not like war or the way Russia invaded them but Ukraine should not make us think there is a third world war coming. All this exchanges and businesses supporting Ukraine openly will have to know that they will get victimised by Putin if they have their office or any affiliations in Russia.

Kraken exchange has also joined the support of Ukraine, although in a slightly different way, and as it seems to me the most convenient for specific people, they are going to make a distribution of more than $10 million to their users from Ukraine registered before March 9, 2022 for $1000 in bitcoin, which are available for withdrawal immediately after crediting on March 10, the promotion runs from March 10 to July 1.

Kraken to Distribute Over $10 Million in Aid to Clients Impacted by Ukraine Crisis

Bybit exchange also should be supporting Ukraine. The exchange donated 100.000$ in bitcoin to Ukraie as announced here 3 days ago : https://www.cryptotimes.io/bybit-donates-100000-in-bitcoin-to-unicef-for-ukraine/
Otherwise, i see all exchanges who didn't/won't ban Ukrainian users by any mean are all supporting it. Note that Ukraine found a shelter in cryptocurrencies because of the actual situation of Russian invaded its territories & exchanges should have a basic role on supporting Ukrainians to get access to the monetary system without the need to go to banks or use physical money.

Binance has been careful with partisanship either with government, countries or institutions. They were careful with the ripple lawsuit and never delisted in the height of the accusations and cant be said to be responsible as top exchange to still keep ripple on the top 10 coins in the market.

Few days ago (April 26th) Binance launched Refugee Crypto Card for all Ukrainian Binance users that had to leave their country and are currently in one of the EEA countries (27 EU countries + Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).

Refugees who are verified by local non-profit organizations and applied for the Binance Refugee Crypto Cards will receive 75 BUSD, equivalent value to US$75 per month for three months. The BUSD cryptocurrency will be converted to local currency automatically during the card payment.

Getting and using a card is free. To obtain a Binance Refugee Crypto Card, refugees will need to use an existing account registered in Ukraine or register a new Binance account using a Ukrainian home address, even if currently living in another EEA country. All users will be required to complete full KYC verification

A special card and airdrop in tokens that can be converted into local currency, depending on the location of the refugee. In addition, the card supports cashback, the absence of various additional fees (maintenance, issue, etc.)
From what I noticed it acts as any other regular Binance card (no issuing/maintenance fees, currency converted into your local one) and only thing that is different is those airdropped $75 per month for 3 months. I often criticize Binance (for a good reason), but kudos for that move.

I was surprised at how many crypto services and crypto personalities have responded to this global issue.
I think its more about chance for some good PR (like in Binance case) than an actual philanthropy but no matter the reason, help is what counts in the end.
