I guess it's somewhat okay to know what could be happening with the project when you are questioning the teams or admins involved. It's important to know what their plans are and the road map so that you can see its validity and seriousness with the project.

It doesn't mean that they cannot rug pull, though because you can easily prepare answers to questions that are common or something.

Telegram groups aren't the ideal place to ask questionnaires. Even legitimate projects sometimes embed annoying sensitive bots to moderate the group that can get you kicked out.
Do your own investigation of the documents they present and then make questionnaires wherever you or the team dont allow to moderate them.

Not completely, i mean quite a lot of this project owners and managers are pretty smart individuals, and of course they will be expecting your questions and must have prepared for it beforehand, making it somewhat easy for them to provide answers to a whole lot of questions thrown at them, project owners that find questions difficult to answer are the not-so-shrewd ones who did not do their homework properly.

Having said that, basically the problem is not even about the team providing answers to your questions or not, like you know, many of this projects are just all about making numerous fake promises, what you should actually be worried about is the use case, what exactly is the project all about, does it have any utility, how long can it be useful, if it ever will be, etc, that's the sort of research required, if you rely on just asking them questions, i am pretty sure they will beat you to it and you will be the loser in the long run.

To have good questions, you must have knowledge and experience which are not what newbies have. Scam projects aim at newbies at most because they are more vulnerable to scam. They don't have experience to see risk and when they invest in their very first crypto projects, they simply think of bright future with good profit.

If you ask questions and receive polishing answers, it does not mean you can believe that project is good. Sometimes scammers are very well to answer your questions, make you hope high and make their project goes viral. However, quality of their project does not only come from their answers. You see and check their real products.

It very hard to detect a scamming platform because before they think or agreed to go into scamming they have gone dip into researching knowing what people want, what they are lacking and so on before taking a step.

On my own understanding, I think the best way is to stay off any business online but crypto,  any one asking you to send your front and back debit card and credit card and or asking to send your personal information.

Still if they gave some answer in their Telegram group, they could had prepared quite a lot of answers for those FAQs. Their answers still need to be proven valid, as they could just throw a random stuff in the chat. Let's say asking for roadmap could just lead them into putting up a fake roadmap that won't even happen at all.

Newbies are usually the target audience, but more experienced members can also call victim to scams due to lack of knowledge.
The blockchain tech has been linked to everything, from health, to web search engines, and investors do not normally have knowledge in this niche to properly answer the important questions, like;

• Does Blockchain have any real utility in this field?
• Is there any other platform that functions better?
• Are there existing projects similar to this one?

My take is people should generally only invest in something they have knowledge on. Keep it very simple and avoid the utopian dreams on may project road maps

I was wondering, though, what about a really big project with so many team members? What if their community manager isn't quite up to speed on every detail? Sure, it may indicate he's not doing his job well, but it doesn't necessarily imply the whole thing is a scam.

Asking questions isn't bad at all but carefully selected questions would really ho a long way to giving one a red flag based on incongruent replies to the questions asked.  Moreso, if genuine, then, you're likely to have an obvious knowledge of what you're getting into without doubts.

Thats the simplest way to bust these guys. Obviously a legit project would always answer your question head on and thats really an easy thing to do. If they are scammer they would focus on ignoring it and only be interested to those who are gonna buy their tokens about presale or token sale. A true developer or project discuss activity and use cases and how the platform will be used. If they only care about sales then think many times before tou throw a dollar on that one.

That's so true. If the team a project has pure intentions of making the project legit, they'll answer all questions being thrown to them. Even the hardest, they'll answer it confidently and will welcome every suggestion that's going to be for the good of the project. It is because they understand if someone's keep on asking question, he/she wants to make sure that he's on the right project and sees interest on that person upon throwing questions related to the project. But if they block and kick you, well, you know what they are.

Community managers do not necessarily imply or conclude a project is legitimate or not. Since the community manager is not a robot, there will be some errors or delays in answering every detail of the question. it is reasonable. most importantly they can answer it and explain clearly what the members are asking.
Many altcoin projects end up being scams or some genuine projects that don't make it to the minimum sales.

Project developers avoiding some questions should not be a red flag and also project developers answering all your questions shouldn't mean the project is genuine.
Speaking about the first statement, many project developers put much efforts at the backend and as such may not have all the time to answer your questions. They sometimes automate their telegram channels and bots will do the conversation which may fall out of point.
Speaking about the second statement, fake projects may hire smart experts who will answer all your questions out of experience and yet the project is a scam.
It's better you do some independent research.

I believe you are kind of right to some level, but do you know that some scam coins package there selfs, you won't believe they are scammers they always make sure everything is real and you will believe the team is real, they answer all the questions you ask them, most of them knows about cryptocurrency and it might not be thier first time so I believe asking questions on Telegram can't really assure you that a project team are real or scam.

Really asking questions will give you insight to actually understand partial motive of projects if really they are willing to review their own objectives to you, because those scam project have a diversified method of responding to people in order to claim a genuine project, so answering questions to detect if they a scam project is determine by the level of the person that present the question, because if newbies that have not experienced scam strategies will be convinced with their response, so question helped for gathering a vital information about project especially for project that's pure and sincere.

Nowadays, it is difficult to search for potential scamming projects as the scammers have already changed their plans and adapted to the current situations. So even if you ask them in their telegram group, I am not sure if that can help you identify the scam projects. You can search for the project that has already launched on the market and has made good progress from time to time, and the best is if you can invest in the legit project.

I think it's quite normal for the team of the project to avoid some questions in telegram groups.
Lots of people keep asking questions in the telegram group and it's easy to miss some of them out.
But the problem arises when we ask the same question to them again and again and if they ignore it then we may consider that they are avoiding the questions.
To be sure of the red flag you can even ask the same question on their discord channel or PM all the team members to see what they answer.
