I wasn't either although in the Motorsport discussion I told that I would not be surprised to see him on pole after almost fighting for victory in Canada,but didn't place a pole prediction for him.I have gone with Verstappen and it looked like it would be easy but damn those yellow flags in the worst possible place in the third sector who didn't permit him to go on pole,he would have gone as in the first sector and second he was way ahead compared to Sainz lap,nevertheless well done to Sainz.

For tomorrow though I expect a complete Redbull dominance,it looked like Verstappen was almost 1 second faster compared to any other cars today including the Ferraris,the odd should be nice on him starting second so giving it a try for the winner.

We have left the qualifying session behind. And I must admit that it was really wonderful to watch the session. Especially Q3 was incredible. It started raining too much and the track barely started drying after some time. We watched so many position changes but at the end Sainz managed to win the pole position. Verstappen didn't have a good lap while the session was ending and couldn't take his place back from Sainz. By the way I was also not expecting Latifi to make it to Q3. Albon had a new update on his car but he still couldn't be more successful than him.

I am happy for Sainz after he won after 150 races in F1 and he was able to turn that pole position yesterday in a win today.Horrible team orders and strategy as always from Ferrari,based only on that I count them out for winning this Championship,they tried to tell Sainz to not attack Leclerc and that would have been really bad if Carlos listened to them.While it was a nice change to see someone else win,the fact that Redbull needs a broken car not to win says a lot about the upcoming of this F1 season which I think it will be dominated by them,it was only luck that he hit something with his car so he was completely out.Perez showed another time from last to second that this car is really fast.The best thing I saw Hamilton making faster laps than anyone else.

I would say big congrats to him as I checked his predictions and I personally would never put Russell in first place and Hamilton for the fastest lap which he luckily did in the last lap,that fastest lap of Hamilton gave him the yellow cap,a well deserved one for this round.

Personally I am still happy continuing my strike from almost 5 races now that I am either 2nd or 3rd in these last 5 races,I hope I continue to do so although not that much of position gains are possible here in a pool of few participants like this one.

WHAT A RACE!!!!! Silverstone never dissapoints.

Oh man i cant belive i win this round after Russel retirement i went full Mercedes this weekend i put Russel to win and Hamilton 3.

And Hamilton with the fastest lap.

This can really happen, Hamilton before the safety car can really win the GP he has much more pace than the Ferraris. And if Russel was racing they can have two cards to play against Ferrari. Massive step forward from Mercedes this weekend.

It was a really unbelievable race! The first lap was really horrifying as there was a huge accident. Zhou's car just tumbled and dragged out of the track for some time. It was a really huge accident but I'm glad to hear that he is okay now. When it comes to the race this accident affected so many drivers badly too. A few drivers were out of the race at the beginning already. Verstappen had a really bad day because of some problems. It was the same for Leclerc too but it was Ferrari's fault. Because I believe they should have called him to pit instead of Sainz. The opposite happened and Leclerc was just finished after that. Congrats to Sainz for his first ever victory in F1 and Hamilton also did great today by being on the podium.

Ferrari has been in a consistent run to screw Leclerc races,in the events that he has no power failure or transmission unit problems it is Ferrari that gets read to screw his race.He was fighting for the Championship alone before this race as now Sainz is in the race too although somewhat distant in points mathematically he is there,so they should have pitted Leclerc I agree with you,in normal conditions with the same type of tires I mean he was doing much better lap times than Sainz so yes it was Ferrari fault that screw his race.

Various things.

1- I know the rules are the rules , but if one driver make a real humanitarian aid helping a crashing driver, the marshalls have to help him to go to race again. What i say its if you make a relaunch and you have a red flag when you can  repair the car (only a tyre blow) you can make an exception and make him racing again for his maginificent action.

2- Ferrari was very lucky with the safety car, if this safety doesnt appear Hamilton clearly wins the race, Perez also was gifted with that SC.

3- What you say about Leclerc i support, but in this race in the last tyre changing was a b ad situation because they fear if the two car entries to the pit lane and Hamilton no Hamilton can be in P1 and Hamilton have already new tires with a few laps (i know was hard tyres but are new) so they dont want to take that risk.

4- Lets see if Sainz with this win and more trust can be a better driver

Leclerc was really unlucky yesterday, it wasn't a good results for him, considering his race. I'm really happy anyway about Ferrari, but I was hope about Leclerc and not Sainz. Hamilton also has a really good run, he has

impressioned me. Hope that the next race Leclerc could obtain a great result and to have what he deserves.

It was a really wonderful qualifying session in Austria. First of all it was a really horrible day for both of Mercedes drivers. Hamilton and Russell both crashed into walls and the session ended for them earlier. Russell still kept a good position as he finished as the 5th but Hamilton is going to start the sprint race from the 10th position. When it comes to the competition between Leclerc and Verstappen it was really lovely to watch. The last tries of both drivers were wonderful and Verstappen managed to finish as the 1st even though Leclerc got ahead before that. Verstappen's last lap was on the edge too as his tyres were nearly fully out of the track limits in his last lap.

It was a great qualify round for Verstappen and an awful one for Mercedes and a decent one by Ferrari.

Unfortunately, I cannot get used to some races having the qualifiers on Friday and I only caught up Q3 so I will have to watch Q1 and Q2 on rerun. But how can a team like Mercedes , having a great running session on Silverstone and after just 1 week that car is not even close with what we saw in Silverstone ? I will start to think that Mercedes are doing this on purpose or they don't know how to balance the car anymore and most likely they will perform better only on a few circuits.

Yes awful because of the crash for Mercedes , but as we see they really make the stepforward. They are really fast in a cicuit that doesnt suits good to they.

Hopefully I will get it right this time with Verstappen on Pole Position as the sprint which will be used as the Pole Position is a normal short distance race in which Redbull and especially Verstappen excels at.I think in the race Ferrari is still lacking something,I don't know what but they are still lacking something.Redbull and Mercedes I believe can recover in Sunday race no matter what their places will be after the sprint qualifying race.

If Ferrari will not win here and in Hungary then most probably it is game over for them,so I hope to get my predictions wrong for a couple of rounds and we keep seeing a good fight for the Championship.

Mercedes are starting to live up to a better rhythm. I already think that Mercedes have the best engineers among all of the Formula 1 teams. I would absolutely bet on Mercedes with some amount of money if bets for the champion team of next season were opened already now.

yeah, next season race could be Mercedes run, but this season seems to be over for them
will be interesting to see what they can show over the weekend, because that could influence rest of the season, but I do think that Max will not let this year title to go away, he is pushing it good at the moment, and LeClerc lost steam, after initial success

regarding Perez, he is probably not even allowed to play against Max
