[Unsolved] Electrum LockTime? Change Adress? 1,7BTC are away?

I hope you can help me, I have a problem.
I transferred bitcoins from Electrum to my other wallet, they were displayed unconfirmed in the other wallet, then after 3 minutes, the bitcoins were just gone. I compared the addresses and it was not the same as my wallet address, now I noticed that LockTime was set on Electrum. Gladly I send you the address, but do you know approximately what the problem is ?

Can it be because of LockTime?
and with LockTime the bitcoins are stored on a change address and then transferred to the recipient address ?

When you say "gone", gone from where? Gone from Electrum? Gone from the other wallet? Gone from both? They initially showed up in the other wallet and then disappeared?

So the address you sent the bitcoin to was not the same address as you copied from your other wallet? Sounds like you might have clipboard malware.

Can it be because of LockTime?

No. LockTime simply prevents the transaction from being mined until a set time. It has nothing to do with sending coins to change addresses.

I sent the bitcoins from Electrum to Wasabi. My Wasabi wallet briefly showed that the coins were received, after 3min when I went back to the PC the coins were no longer on Wasabi or Electrum.  On Electrum I found on the Send tab a transaction that was not executed, which contains the address of wasabi. Status: unpaid. But in the transaction history were displayed that the bitcoins have already been sent also confirmed.

The address from the transaction history is different from the address that is unpaid on the send tab.

I have sent to test again 0.00001 BTC, to the respective addresses with the mark unpaid and the BTC address from the transaction history in the hope that the wallet updates itself and in my Wasabi wallet the lost money is displayed.

The bitcoins of 0.00001 have been received on the address marked unpaid on my wallet and also got a notification. Only the 0,00001btc on the address from the transaction history of Electrum was notified on wasabi no receipt.

I sent the bitcoins from Electrum to Wasabi. My Wasabi wallet briefly showed that the coins were received, after 3min when I went back to the PC the coins were no longer on Wasabi or Electrum.  On Electrum I found on the Send tab a transaction that was not executed, which contains the address of wasabi. Status: unpaid. But in the transaction history were displayed that the bitcoins have already been sent also confirmed.

This is quite a peculiar case. Had the amount you tried sending been sitting in your wallet for sometime, or did you just receive it?

My best guess is that the initial transaction from electrum to Wasabi was an unconfirmed parent transaction, and you tried creating a child transaction from that unconfirmed parent transaction. That unconfirmed transaction could have been invalidated by double spending.

If the address was incorrect, then you should not have gotten the notification of an incoming transaction on your wasabi wallet at all.

This is quite a strange case. Did you have the amount you were trying to send in your wallet for some time, or did you just receive it?
My best guess is that the original transaction from Electrum to Wasabi was a parent transaction of an unconfirmed parent transaction, and that this unconfirmed transaction was invalidated by double spending.

The transaction which sent the coins to the wrong address - f94f2d08c402542b6cf350fa087466ee4b7f2a88675432bace86c372921437a4 - was confirmed in the same block as its parent transaction - 75ebe6d9f926fa596e22461104f6648279172ca0045c8e778b008fa1497efc18. This parent transaction seems to be a massive consolidation transaction with 337 inputs and 1 output. Where did this transaction come from? Did you make it yourself?

This could well be a case of a double spend due to an unconfirmed parent, which is why the transaction showed up in Wasabi for a few minutes before it disappeared. The fact that the 1.7 BTC have already moved out of the address you sent them to means that the address definitely didn't come from one of your wallets by mistake, but rather is owned and operated by someone else. Either you have sent the coins to an exchange or other third party service account where you accidentally copied the address, or more likely is that you have been scammed in some manner.

I also note that your transaction is RBF enabled, so potentially someone with access to your private key(s) replaced your transaction with their own one after you broadcast it.

It could be a duplicate issue due to an unconfirmed parent transaction, which is why the transaction was displayed in Wasabi for a few minutes before it disappeared. The fact that the 1.7 BTC has already left the address you sent it to means that it definitely didn't come from one of your wallets by mistake, but is owned and operated by someone else. Either you sent the coins to an exchange or another third-party account where you accidentally copied the address, or you were scammed in some way.

You can import xPub into Electrum and check there. If it matters, as long as it's only xPub you're safe.
But I'd start with checking where bc1qma22seqtka0kn8z7znuqqlze3tgtg2ag2jus3y belongs to. Then go step by step.

So, if I understood correctly, you first made a transaction to yourself, from Electrum to Electrum.
Was it a new Electrum just installed? Can you please tell more about how you "activated in settings" that new address to send to? You did that in Electrum?


Another direction: you wrote now that you have 1.6 BTC on wasabi and 0.38 BTC on Electrum. Before you wrote that you've lost 1.7 BTC. It doesn't make sense. Have you lost 1.7 BTC, have you lost 0.1 BTC? Did Santa bring you some extra 0.28 BTC?! With this style of writing, you should not wonder than people doesn't attempt to help. It's an big mess with no logic. Please improve that.

He is talking about change addresses in Electrum. If you open the settings in Electrum and go to 'Transactions', try and hover your mouse over the 'use change addresses' option. It tells you that change addresses make it more difficult for others to track your transactions.

I could suspect a malicious clone of Wasabi (I don't know whether they do exist), but then Wasabi would not have 1.6 BTC in it.

True. But that's also the address where he sent a 0.00001 BTC test transaction and it's confirmed. Those satoshis are still unspent.

I don't get it either. When he mentioned those 0.38 and 1.6 BTC, maybe he was trying to say that he already used Wasabi in the past with those amounts successfully. It might not be related to his current problem at all.

@useruserbtc can you post the exact website where you downloaded Wasabi and Electrum from and what versions you are using? And please try to be as clear as possible when you post. No unnecessary and confusing walls of text. Just explain the things you did.

If you sent those coins to an address which is part of an account you own on a third party platform or service, then yes, you could get them back, but no one will be able to help you figure out if this is actually the case and only you will know which exchanges and services you have accounts with from which you could have copied an address. However, that doesn't explain why the coins showed up on Wasabi and then disappeared.

Do you have more than one Wasabi wallet? Are you sure you are opening the correct one? If what you are say is true and the coins showed up Wasabi for a few minutes and then disappeared, the only way that this could have happened is if your transaction has been double spent or otherwise invalidated, or you are looking at a different wallet.
