Canada and Australia I agree, in past few years these countries even have lesser racial discriminations which make them good countries for immigrants, but I feel same can't be said true for US, first of all it's not an easy task for a person to get working visa in US, especially if you are from a 3rd world country. but yes if you get into the country then obviously you can be rich if you compare yourself on a global level, won't say rich but you could be well settled.

I think he is trying to list countries that has good systems that support people to become successful. In third world nations were multiple taxation, corruption, insecurity, lack of infrastructures and other economic challenges greatly hampers the chances of running a good business, becoming successful is very challenging.
Also some first world nation don't give equal opportunity to everyone due to systematic racism. Becoming successful in such nations are very difficult. Everybody know about the American Dream, the US is a land of great opportunities and Canada is also following America's footpath.

I can attest to Canada, they seem to have a fair system for immigrants and I have relatives living there for many years. But lately in the US there is a hate against Asian so it's not a safe place to live it specially if you have kids. You sound absolutely clueless about how the world operates. Wealth is also not just about how much money you make, but also how much money it takes just to exist. America is a great country but it's no easier to get richer there than in the UK. I thought this thread might have some actual statistics, like a simple search of google with the phrase "Social mobility" would show you the actual best countries - based on proper research rather than an unintelligent opinion - for moving from being poor to having wealth. Ironically none of the three countries that you mention as the best are in the top ten. You should do a lot more travelling an open your mind before jumping to conclusions.

I have heard many times that United States is that place for opportunities (but it also has broken many lives) and people tries to get there, because they believe they will become rich there. Somehow I can agree with that. I've seen many times how people travel there and become successful exactly while being there. I know many people who were raised in Eastern Europe and got well paying jobs in the West and never even had to leave their town. They are all working in IT and most of them are self taught. Mostly back end devs, but also support specialists and so on. Many Western companies hire in Eastern EU because it's cheaper for them and there's even more skilled people there. Now imagine that you live in Eastern EU where everything is much cheaper and you get a Western EU pay, while working from home.

I don't know what level of being rich you're talking about. If by rich you mean that somebody is flying a private jet then maybe you're right, but if you're talking about living in a new house with a big garden, having 2 cars one for daily driving and one for fun, being able to travel, then it's achievable in any EU country. You just need to be good at something other people aren't. For instance, I have a friend whose mother is a doctor doing all those beauty treatments like BTX and she earns a lot. They have apartments all around Europe (Germany, Italy, Austria).

I agree, USA and Canada are the best countries to start from the scratch, that's why there are tens of thousand asylum seekers, especially in States,but it all about depends on person's desire not the country,don't forget that there are too many poor people in USA and Canada too.

Having poor people in such countries doesn't take away the fact that they are well organized countries because there will always be poor people in our midst so it is not surprising if that is so. That's nice to hear that New Zeland are very open to someone else that wants to live there forever but I think this is also possible on some other countries? As long as you stay there for a very long time and comply to their rules, you can also be a permanent citizen on that certain country your currently living with. For a while, you can be called to as an alien. Such a weird term isn't it but that was legit.

I got an info somewhere which they say that living in New Zealand country was expensive but I don't know if that was true. Can your family confirm that?
