They must have done a deep research to find the best personality alternative to promote the platform, that ended being Drake. Marketing is a very creative area, where sometimes the decisions by the responsible ones for this sector don't make sense at first impression for many people, even though it brings impressive positive results for the brand/company after all.

^ That is right it needs marketing and probably through this marketing strategy use aside from having a promotion, celebrities endorsement could be more effective than other marketing strategies. I don't see the problem here that can ruin their reputation, as long as no one will become scammed, their reputation will remain silent. That is their money and I think we don't have a right to judge them, if they think this is better then they will continue this strategy for the sake of their company, as long as they are in a legal way to market their company, everything will fine and nothing to worry.

My take is that great marketing nowadays requires huge investment such as being promoted by influencers and even celebrities. It is indeed a good practice if they keep doing giveaways and contests for their reputation but making a huge step towards your casino's company is a must. Remember that some casino platforms tends to just be anonymous and rely on their user-reviews and contests for their marketing while bigger platforms like Stake tend to step it up a bit.
