Portugal dominated the game but immensely effective Japanese defense did not allow a second goal. To some extent I felt that they deliberately were hitting the ball at low intensity. If this is the way Brazil wants to play in this world cup then I think they won't even be in the finals. Cameroon were struggling throughout the match but due to brazilian defence incompetence they were able to score a goal. I am sure Brazil underestimated and were over confident.

So far the World Cup has impressed a lot of people with what goes on in the matches. Participating countries show a lot of surprises that are very hard to miss. It is difficult to predict the match even though the match brought together 2 countries that have very different qualities.

if we look at the match last night Portugal and Brazil have confirmed that they have definitely qualified for the group to the knockout round, so they didn't really play seriously as an example Brazil lost to Cameroon at least provided entertainment for Cameroon even though they didn't qualify for the group

I agree that the Netherlands is a slight favorite in this match, but I have to admit that they haven't impressed me so far.
In the group stage of the competition, they were very lucky, especially in the match against Senegal, and they didn't play well.
They were very lucky in the draw for the world championship and got the easiest group in this world championship, and they are also lucky with the first opponent in the knockout phase of the competition.

I don't think that there really is a reason why people would be disappointed in the performance of Otto Addo. I mean they were in a group with Portugal and Uruguay so i don't think that a lot of people expected them to go through to the knockout stage of the tournament. Still they had a big chance to advance and as you already said they even had the chance to go in front in the match against Uruguay but Ayew simply missed that penalty, so that is definitely not the fault of the coach. Maybe they made an agreement before the tournament started that he would resign if they would not make it into the knockout stage or something.

Again upset can happen in the match between Argentina and Australia, we never know. How about taking a small amount on bet on Australia and we get 14.0 odds. That will be a big return but then the chances of an upset are also slim.

I think the chances of the match being a draw are low. I think we will see the results within 90 minutes. Netherlands scored their first goal in just 10 minutes. Depay scored a wonderful goal. But even after trailing 1-0, the USA players did not give up. They want to break the defence of the Netherlands with one attack after another. It's true ,they both Japan and South goes to the same way . I said once before that this FIFA World Cup is going in the opposite direction. Otherwise, how could a team like South Korea beat a strong team like Portugal. Your prediction might come correct really, if Dutch side fail to score a goal to back this one they've had already up. So far, they have been the better side but United States of America are not sitting back behind letting them hurt them, they're all out attacking also.
They're not doing just fine with creativity and creating chance's that would be harmful and harming to Netherland side's. Dutch side have been more influncal with the wing's and not midfeld.

Good link up between Dumfries and Memphis Depay to score that goal, USA needs to hold the ball and hurt Dutch side from the middle if they're to win this game. Best chance for them in the game was from Christian Pulisic but he messed up.

It looks like this is a bit forced but indeed this could be the last chance so you have to give your best and it looks like Pulisic will definitely work hard even though his condition is still not 100 percent fit.
