It basically depends upon the project you invested, If your investment is in top projects like Bitcoin or any of the major alts then there is nothing much to worry about the temporary market situation, all you need to think is to accumulate the coins if the market goes down and wait for the next rally. But if you are invested in projects that are mere imitations then you need to take the decision according to the market situation and i will not hold any projects for the long term until feel that their whitepaper does have a long term viability.

Totally agree with you on this. In this Crypto space, nothing is permanent. Changes happen and it does so unannounced. However, their are certain trading skills can be mastered in order to minimize loss, but not everyone is willing to acquire this skill.
