So finally, this fight is going to happen, the original fight date is December of last year but Romero had to pull out of the fight because of sexual allegations. So Davis continue and instead fought a game Isaac Cruz and won by a majority but close decision. Davis didn't score a knock out because he hurt his hands. But it seems it is healed already and so they will proceed to fight Romero.

There was some animosity back in December during the announcement of the fight and for sure this will continue this May

I'm still giving Davis an edge to win against a rugged Romero and I wouldn't be surprised if this is going to be a war and Davis winning by a knock out.

As of now, the odds for Romero is very far from Davis, having like 7x, for romero. Bookies are clearly on Davis here. Maybe, it is worth to wait for other betting lines because as of now, Davis is at 1.07x, which is not very profitable if you are betting small. Most of his fight I watched is he dominated his opponent, I don't see when he got pressured and need to play defensive. Nahh it is just some old tactics of some of the boxers to create a fire on their upcoming fight, trash talking, belittling their opponent like what Romero did to Tank is kind of scenario that's not new in the world of boxing, I believe they did it on a purpose to distract Tank. But as we expected Tank will for sure not going to take this trash talking of Romero to him personally and will still concentrate to his training and focus on their upcoming fight. Nahh it is just some old tactics of some of the boxers to create a fire on their upcoming fight, trash talking, belittling their opponent like what Romero did to Tank is kind of scenario that's not new in the world of boxing, I believe they did it on a purpose to distract Tank. This is one of the things that excites me the most about this fight, because both fighters have very good statistics about the knockout, both Davis and Romero have similar strengths, some go for Romero because of the wide rate of knockouts, but I have a special I respect Davis, for me betting on this fight is getting very complicated, I would not know who to bet on, in fact the bets could clarify something but if and only if they could advance something about their training, how they are physically, how well one is you can see more tired than the other, I think I would be looking for very minimal details of each boxer to see if I can see something, a weakness or something.

In sixth rounds for me, I would say that this could be one of Davis easiest fight in years. So in the end, he will get the knock out here and it will not get to the judges scorecard.

Well he showed that he had a chance against Tank. But all that is not anymore important when you can't survive a punch. You can talk of successfully exposing Tank, winning every round, getting the judges' decision, etc all you want but the point is that you lost.

I saw this on Youtube hours before I see your post here and looks like Romero is still dreaming on that interview. Draw?? Like WTF!!
Well, he can't accept the fact that he lost for the first time that is why he act like that. He is in denial phase and looks like hallucinating and can't accept his defeat and now he is a meme in the internet now and being laughed by many people online.

Tank said in the interview that Romero doesn't deserve a rematch while Romero wants it. There might be a chance that there might be a rematch between these 2. Tank really is that fast and strong but I thought that he got injured for a sec while watching it. Overall, that left hook was brutal that Romero was shocked. Yeah, I will call it smart play by Davis, Romero can talk shit again after the fight and says that Davis ran because he can't deal with his power. but I think Davis did the right thing here, figuring out Rolly and then countering him when he is going inside. Davis goes as far as comparing this to Marquez KOing the great Pacman.

Davis was surprised by the Romero's aggression, I reckon. Davis also did not appear to be in control for much of the fight which stopped him from his common tactic of forcing his opponent to commit a mistake and find an opportunity for his power left punch. I was very sure my bet for under 6.5 rounds would lose until he found an opportunity to slip Romero's punch to attack with his own left hehehe. It was intelligent boxing, however, was he not lucky? Will he do something similar to King Ryan?
