I can't seem to find someone here who tells their story and I don't think you need someone about Bitcoin mining stories because all people who mine Bitcoin are almost have the same story. Try this one below and maybe you can get some guide about mining where authors tell their stories about mining Bitcoin. - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5353061.0

I can't seem to find someone here who tells their story
I've seen some people who are active on Mining board in past >=3 years share their setup and few details of their mining journey. If you combine everything they said, it could become interesting mining story. Here are few example where OP could contact OP of these threads, My "mini" mining farms , set up + wiringMy S9 Heater versionNew cooling setup for my asic room.

The most interesting side of Bitcoin mining as a story is already over, there was a time where I can use a Pentium 4 PC to mine 10 BTC per day? That type of story? What are the readers going to gain with the story? Go back in time to mine their Bitcoin and come back to the present?
Those who are smart among the readers would probably ask what's next to get into that early. And what they can find next are a bunch of crappy shit proof of work coins in the space.
This story won't have any impact or effect on the readers than 'we already missed the boat', so this is not needy.
If I have the skills of a writer, I would have love to write about how many times Bitcoin have died in the past and keeps coming back to life, I would write about how the world really needs decentralization and how Bitcoin have opened that door.

I would like that story about using Pentium 4 PC. What month/year was that? It will have an effect because I have included the history of Bitcoin in the book. I have included how we need decentralization and how Bitcoin opened the door. This story will only be in one version of the book called After Bitcoin. I separated the two themes. miners are like prophets in the bible. Miners profited they believed they would get a return of profit. So I would like to include you in the book your story maybe outside of Bitcoin what were you doing? how did you come across it? Its more than just the equipment what was going on around you? Life? What lead you to mine Bitcoin? Did you find out in jail or was it online? stuff like that. I want it to be like a narrative of a documentary?

I can't seem to locate anyone here who recounts their tale, and I don't think you need someone to tell you about Bitcoin mining stories because everyone who mines Bitcoin has a similar experience.
It would be very different if OP manage to hold story from miner who has unusual experience such as impacted by regulation or natural disaster. thats what i'm saying what was going on around you that put you in the position to mine.

OP is not looking for books about BTC or books that teach about BTC mining, op is looking for people to share their own true strories about mining, stories that op would probably include in their own book. what was going on around you that put you in the position to mine.
We can agree that most miners mine because they want to make revenue, they have access to cheap electricity and they want to contribute their part to the security of the BTC network.

What I'm looking for is life stories. What were you doing before mining Bitcoin? What lead up to getting into mining?

One story that highlights the importance of miners in the Bitcoin ecosystem is the "Great Mining Migration" of 2021. In this real-life event, several mining operations faced challenges due to regulatory crackdowns and power supply issues in China, which was home to a significant portion of the world's bitcoin mining activity.

I will add the old wisdom of the miner that you can not sell all the coins. It is a mistake to hold all 100% of the mined coins to increase the price and also sell all 100% of the coins. Unfortunately, I sold a lot of coins, and then regretted it. Be sure to leave 10-20% of the coins for luck.

because all people who mine Bitcoin are almost have the same story.
I have to completely disagree here my friend, I believe every miner's story is different and has its own unique events, in fact, the same person could have different stories regarding different farms, every step is unique, I know people who started BIG and ended up losing everything, I know people who started with 2-3 S9s in their garage and now have a couple of hundred mining gears. I have been mining, selling mining gears, and managing farms for many years now, while the end result of all the things I saw are pretty similar (success or failure at various degrees) the story of how they all started, evolved, got big or vanished are all different). The problem gathering with mining stories is that most people who mine Bitcoin care so much about their privacy, they try not to reveal any information for so many security and privacy reasons.

It's bad that the time of the most interesting stories is over, when everyone could do mining at home or in the garage. Now there are very few such miners and limited capacities do not allow serious mining at home. I don’t even think about buying a few asics because I can’t compete with big miners in terms of payback.

That's true, different times, different stories, but that doesn't mean the old stories are no longer good stories to be told, anyway, eventually at some point in the future when block rewards drop next to nothing, BTC becomes widely used, many home miners will mine BTCfor the sake of protecting their money, and possibly making a tiny little profit, there will be no room for all these large players then, just a small 10-20th USB sticks or smart light bulbs that maintain the network.
