as far as I use 2fa there is no security that can be penetrated by hackers, because the security code will always change every 5 seconds. Every wallet and exchange I use must use 2fa , always recommended by them, I'm sure you should install this, although there are always loopholes, but I never lost while using this.

Obviously as what others mentioned in here, there is no direct connection between 2fa and your usual crypto transaction so no, OP. Since the transaction went through already, I would be more concerned on the current device that you are using since the hacker could possibly more damage which I hope I am wrong. Either do a virus scan or clean install of your device. Start from there then start implementing 2FA and PIN if you really wish for an extra layer of security. There is no direct connection if he didn't set a 2fa but if he sets it then there is a connection because before you log on or do any transactions, you will need to enter the 2fa code that will be sent in your mailbox or phone number. You might be right that his device is already infected by some malware or viruses and it's not safe to use it anymore. He can do some scanning, hard resetting the phone or completely logout all his accounts and transfer to a fresh device and next time he will need to be more careful on what he was dealing with. Who wouldn't want to have an extra layer of security? Unless if he don't care that his funds will get hacked one day (which already happened). I bet he changed his mind now.

2FA so far are the safest option and yes it changes all the time but it can also be compromised especially if you fall for a hack attempt asking for that pin. Its good to always use the security option available on that wallet, don’t hesitate to use it because its for your own good and you have the money to protect, better to be safe always.

That's really bad but whenever you are having fund in a wallet you should always make sure you protect your wallet very well. You using 2fa as your security is a good idea because it's going to improve the security of your wallet, before anybody can access your wallet they will have to input one time code with expires mostly after 30 seconds. Am not saying using 2fa guaranty maximum security but it will increase your security level.

Indeed, it was been highly recommended to all as this will enhance security aside from email verification. As a fundholder, thinking about the security of our money is our top priority. We can't underestimate hackers by now as the more careless we are, the more we give them a chance to have an entry. Like to expose your address that holds a huge amount is not a good idea but with the 2FA protections gives them a hard time cracking it.

Surely there is no 100% guarantee that we use 2FA it will be safe, if we aim for long -term investments, the best thing is to store assets in private wallet, do not store assets in exchanges because if we are busy then not logged in for a long time then our assets Can be lost and when they want to log in again they ask KYC and many reasons.

One mistake or one reason for the hackers to penetrate in your account for sure they will grab the opportunity right away. Cases of hacking can only be avoided by the owner itself, by doing your extra securities in your wallet or in your account will give hackers hard time to deal with you, 2fa is another layer that can give you good protection. You should adopt and install this feature to tighten the security of your wallet/account.

Long term or short term investments that's doesn't matter when you own a decent amount of money then i think you should buy a hardware wallet (i'm using safepal wallet from the last year) to keep safe your assets. Keep store your assets on the exchanges it will never safe even in the top tier exchanges.

Maybe have different thing when you save assets on crypto wallet exchange market like Binance, Houbi or Kucoin. When detecting with access log in different IP have confirmation to your email account, but I think you loss controlling maybe save assets on wallet like Safepal or trustwallet and Metamask. Better if save assets on exchange market, use 2fa and you fund keep safety, actually when have some one hack your account and change password you have change with one days for withdrawing suspend and get back access to your exchange account.

I think the problem in your case is that someon has manged to stea or clone your simcard information and managed to reset tje authenticator as the firs thing they do is send you an email and send you a phone message.

I don't know if you remember the time that Binance was hacked, one of the things for which it was hacked and almost everything stolen was because they managed to find the 2FA codes and from there everything was very simple, I don't know how they would do it but at that time They only talked about hacking, so it can be said that nothing is safe, even in a wallet, be it electrum or another, it is more viable that it has more security, a private key or the set of phrases because the 2fa already had its vulnerability, then based In this, it is not to be alarmist but I prefer to have the 2fa password sha256 and why not, another layer of security.

I am wondering which wallet you’re making use of, but I can guess that whatever wallet it is that you’re using would be an online wallet or possibly an exchange, which is not fully safe.
As for making use of 2FA, I believe that two factor authentication can really be helpful in securing your account, as it wouldn’t be as easy to penetrate as someone who has only activated just a password for their account; having PIN and 2FA activated would create a double layer of security for your wallet. But I would recommend that you switch to making use of a trusted wallet, and more likely an offline wallet.

I think once you set the PIN and 2FA, then you will be able to secure your wallet for next transactions. It is very important to set the PIN, or at least the password on the wallet you use. Im currently using Trust wallet and secure it with my phone authentication like password and finger lock.

today I experienced an unexpected transaction from one of my wallets, all my assets were sold automatically, this is the first time I've experienced this, I didn't protect this wallet with a PIN and 2fa can it be delayed after I use 2fa and PIN for all transactions?
If you are using AUTHY, I could say its a safe one dude. I had been using it for 4 years now and so far so good, I never encounter any problem with this app. Unlike, google authenticator apps after a months using it the code became invalid. Unlike for the AUTHY is not happening the same as google authenticator apps. Believe me this is proven and tested already.

One of your wallets you said, I am guessing you have managed to leak your private key one way or the other, my first question is are you a airdrop fan at one point in time? The second question is what platform are you running your wallet on? Mobile or PC? And the third question is what wallet are you using?. As for your question, 2FA has no power to secure your recovery seed or private key, once they are leaked your 2FA is powerless.

well, we don't know whether it can be delayed or not, for sure, the defense of your wallet is stronger than that, and it is possible that your assets cannot be sold automatically because of your PIN and 2fa. this is a lesson for all of us to continue to use the full security provided by the services we use. as far as I know, hackers will more easily access the assets that we have if there is no PIN and 2fa. So, when you have a chance to activate it, then activate it immediately. it would be great if there was an additional pin from the phone that we have. Always take precautions before things go wrong.

In fact, even exchanges are asking to enable 2FA authentication for safety. This is really necessary as you holder, we can't be sorry right because of our negligence, we can't just say that hackers aren't smart. No, anticipating such a thing is a good example that we care much about our money and we dare not to let these people take control of our hard-earned money. And besides, this is not a hard thing to do, we can just do it in a few minutes and be done, however, this gives us higher security for the lifetime.

Some exchanges really made it compulsory, if you don't comply with the 2FA, you can have a notification from your email or confirmation from the transactions you are making. Nowadays, we cannot be too complacent, hackers are so smart that they can even hack even the most popular and secured exchanges, so we have to ensure we had the best security to protect our assets.

Nothing can be guaranteed to be 100% secure and uncrackable, but an account activated with pin code, 2FA and authentication from email address, it will be relatively safe for our assets. Hackers can attack our accounts but if we turn on full protection layers, hackers will take a lot of time and then maybe they will have a chance to handle it in time. Cryptocurrency investment faces a lot of risks besides avoiding scam projects We must also keep our accounts away from hackers at all times, so enable all security functions as much as possible good.

Understand this right now if you haven’t yet, ignore anyone tell you about complete security in anything it’s false, there is nothing that can offer you that in Crypto-currency. With that said you also have to understand 2FA is a strong security approach than many has tested and trusted to provide a good security enhancement/backing, so if you are looking for ways to add on to you being always security sensitive then 2FA is a good addition for you.
