Lies are told more or less by everyone. But it becomes the nature of some people.  That is, then people start telling lies for no reason.  Everyone should be aware and restrain themselves from even small lies. One should refrain from making false promises. Although now the age is full of deception and lies.  Still, you should try to be honest with yourself.

Humans? Stop telling lies? There is no human behavior that will stop, it doesn’t matter how negative or positive it is. Indeed, it is unfortunate that telling a lie is now very common that it’s almost seen as a part of life, but I still believe that it’s personal. Depending on who you are and what you believe in, you can choose to be different and your words would always be the truth. I like to tell people that it’s best to not talk at all than to tell a lie. As an adult no one would force words out of your mouth.

I don't think all  humans can stop telling lies in the society, because they are part of some of the things they are using to survive in their living, and the reason why I said it, is because as a business man I am, there is no way you can tell your customers the truth about the price of your products.

There are some people telling lies because they are forced to do that because they are under their Boss, which their Boss will tell them to lie for them to achieve their goal which the employee must lie to help his or her Boss to achieve their goal from the business.

I guess there are few people in the society who are not telling lies no matter where they find themselves, and they are ready to lose any positions in the society to remain truthful which I have seen such people around my society.

Yes I concur mostly the area of trust, it's never acceptable in any society that lying should be the order of the day but when liers Scot free without sanction it become a way if life as many think it's the easiest means of gotten what they want, but that destroy trust just as dunamisx has stated when trust is dies off it's hard for society to work efficiently.

There have been actual scientific studies on this matter actually, scientist seem to be specially interested at what age children start to develop the concept of lying to their parents. That being said, I think lying is part of human nature, there have been lies as long as there have been people on the face of earth, no doubt about it.

I think it would be unrealistic to even imagine a modern society in which each one of the it's citizens avoids telling lies to others, it would be a characteristic of an utopia and we all know such thing cannot be reached as we all are imperfect.
Still, the important thing to remember about lies and their role in society is to be aware on whether is really necessary for us to even lie in order to avoid consequences which are not going to be a big deal anyways, otherwise, one could become a pathological liar and from there it only comes a downhill path towards the loss of all credibility and honor.

We are in a society where the leaders lie concurrently and the subject emulate from them.  I was watching a skit some days ago and someone came for an interview and at the entrance of the gate he saw a huge amount of money he picked it up and put in his pocket not knowing that it was a set up and there was a camera to monitor and when he was finally interviewed they asked him about the money and he blatantly lied even when they played the cctv recordings for him he still denied it. The rate of lies in the society is quite alarming and it is increasing everyday .lastly I will advise all those who see lies as the best way to achieve success to desist from it because integrity pays alots and there is respect when people know you as sincere person .

Since society is a meeting place of people, I have no disagreement with you that the individual behavior and morality of each person in society greatly affects the social environment. All the turmoil or unrest in our family or society is the result of doubts arising from lies. Currently, where I am living I have too much lying things around me, but we can't talk about this with they are controlling all and not allowing to talk facts with openly talking shit and lying and asking peoples to follow them so it's part of our culture and nature both.
