He can shill all the time Dogecoin.
This is possible and we hope that it won't happen.

But if he accepts Bitcoin as a payment in having crypto ads on that platform, that would have an effect on Bitcoin in the future.  But this dude is pretty smart, we don't know what his next month and we can't predict it.  Let's see what will happen next.

For him, just free speech.
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1519036983137509376
Of course, there should be other reason other than free speech why he's so obsessed in buying Twitter, but knowing how smart he is, i think he has already set his plans before that. And even if all the boards will refuse his offer, well he does not easily stop and he always pursue his plans no matter what. Though he's always the big fan of dogecoin, but i'm pretty sure that he will also dwell on bitcoin once he succeeded from buying Twitter. Expect by then that bitcoin will have to undergo a roller coaster ride again once he starts to influence the market and the community of bitcoin.

I believe that Musk's influence on the price of Bitcoin, as of today, is small. He had it last year, and it is inevitable that people will look at what he does and react in the short term to actions such as when he announced he was buying Bitcoin for Tesla and accepting Bitcoin payments. I personally don't care what he does and I don't think he's going to move the price of Bitcoin much some tweets.

Elon musk was a tool in the market, I felt he was used and his tweet on the energy consumption of bitcoin/green energy adoption was responsible for the first dump last year. He got quiet on bitcoin since then, as twitter is the most active platform for cryptocurrency where news are sold. I dont know what he will do differently as the owner of the forum.

What he wants and how he wants it, in my opinion, is entirely up to him. Just imagine he bought Twitter for more than the market value of Twitter. He does not do anything without a second thought, though he might be doing this because of other things or might be thinking more deeply than we can predict. Because he spends a lot and I believe billionaires do spend, they just invest. Twitter is also an investment for him. Now he can run his business to make profits for him. And if he chooses the crypto market, then he might choose some coin or token to make his profit through his tweet. And what I say entirely depends on how he wants to make profits. That's it, and that's my overall opinion on the subject; others' opinions may differ. Thank you.

OP: The green candle!! it's not always the only thing to look.

We always think of bitcoin as a value asset
-/El-On is the messiah...(!?) nah! he is "investiment man".
I think he feels like a Marvel character, it's not written(script) yet if he's really going to be a villain or a hero, but I think he has a tendency to play both sides when it comes to bitcoin./-
-/sarcasm alert/-

Let's hope that this speech that brings "freedom of expression" is extrapolated to freedom to manage our money.

Aren't you overestimating the influence of Elon on the market? Even if Elon was a man known for his involvement in crypto, I don't think that's enough of a reason to say that he can influence the market in a big way, especially if we consider how most of what he's (publicly anyway) shared was about Doge (and that was him memeing it imo). The most that's happening right now might honestly just be hype, people thinking that Elon buying Twitter is a good thing since he's so publicly involved with crypto.

You will agree Elon has really inspired many people to bitcoin his pro or against bitcoin tweet directly reflect the red and green candles on bitcoin charts.

With owning this huge platform of Twitter he can either break it or make it. I think.

Let if adopts "doge" as some kind of default crypto currency for Twitter it will be huge move and might effect bitcoin bigtime.

Or let say if come to sense and realizes the truth and embrace bitcoin I can't imagine how huge the green candle will be.
People may react to such things for few times lets say for about 10 times? Or even 100 times but he can't keep doing it all days remaining and also he will be targetting something big with such influence apart from cryptocurrencies alone so this dude will affect the investors few times not every time.

Elon has much less influence over bitcoin than in the past. His tweets used to change a lot for price but people got burned after he pumped and dumped bitcoin last year and they started to care less about his strange tweets. It was all about manipulating bitcoin and having fun while doing it. Once he got people to buy and dumped his coins on their heads he started to talk shit about the community. I doubt he'll buy bitcoin again after the wave of hate he received for pumping and dumping.

It is true that he manipulated the bitcoin price for his own gain but there is no denying that his support for the cryptocurrency has inspired many.

We still don't know what he will do next with Twitter but as a crypto advocate and Twitter as an active social network for crypto I think this will positively impact the development of crypto. Along with Twitter ownership, Elon is also one of the whales holding large amount of bitcoin so I think he will be a bitcoin influencer in the future.

what we know Elon Musk is a big whale, I agree that Elon Musk can influence bitcoin in the future, because Elon Musk holds a lot of bitcoins, can you imagine if Elon Musk let go of all bitcoins? Of course the price of bitcoin will go down.
May be may be not and I believe that Elon Mosk doesn't hold as much Bitcoin as Michael Saylor does. I think some of us still give Elon too much credit for how much influence he can continue to pull in the market but I think this time is different from the first time he made those moves cos investors have seen what happened then.

What he wants and how he wants it, in my opinion, is entirely up to him. Just imagine he bought Twitter for more than the market value of Twitter
He can certainly make an impact since the status of a famous and rich person always represents power.  But that doesn't mean he has the right to allow "one hand to cover the sky" over the scope of the crypto space.  I admit owning twitter can be a potentially transformative premise if he wants to promote something.  Elon owns bitcoin, Tesla owns bitcoin, and most likely twitter too.  I more or less appreciate the importance of Elon, but if think he can change things, I'm afraid he can't.

Elon is not that kind of person whom you can predict. He has 91 million followers in Twitter and he could influence a large number of people just the way he did for Dogecoin. So he can do the same for bitcoin as well. Buy since his company holds some amount of bitcoins, I am not sure if SEC will allow him to do so!

But yes, he can indeed influence a large number of people and adopt cryptocurrency within Twitter ecosystem which Jack was thinking to implement since last couple of years.

Of course he will have a big influence after this, with increasing power after buying twitter. what will be done after, of course there will be a big scenario after this. he seems to be able to do, and money will always follow him, on the other hand of course there will be many small fish that follow him to get food. but would an influential person like him be misguided? I guess there's a slim chance for that to happen

I'm hoping we won't see a "Twitter coin".

This is a bad idea, I think Elon likes to hold and shill what he likes rather than creating a coin. If he wanted him to have done it before instead of he hold Doge and shill them. Doge will definitely have leaps when Twitter belongs to Elon, it can become a means of payment for Twitter. Now he will shill Doge whenever he wants because no one can stop what he wants to do on Twitter.

We don't know yet the real reason why he bought Twitter other than what he said in some interviews of wanting free speech simce many issues of censorship and being biased were labeled in Twitter before especially when it comes in politics. Now being a private company owned by Elon it may have a larger impact not just in what he wanted Free speech but also into crypto since he is known for voicing out what coins to shill like how he is able to make Doge coin popular. Whatever his motive is it for sure will benefit his compnies as well he see it as way to develop or gain more profit in the future.

He definitely has a plan for Twitter not just free speech, it's probably one of the reasons. We all know him as a talented person and the richest man in the world right now and $44 billion is a huge number.

He won't spend such a large amount of money to own Twitter and give  joking tweets, other than using Twitter to shill coins, I think he has a big plan for his business. But whatever the reason, his twitter acquisition will be a good thing for crypto as he is also one of the crypto lovers.

Becoming the richest person in the world Elon Of course you must also be wise in determining something. Buying twitter is very easy for him and making twitter as a place for free speech certainly has its pros and cons, but I also believe that twitter managed by Elon will provide extraordinary developments in the future.

Because Elon is also a crypto fan, of course crypto will be an important part of Twitter. Elon has a huge influence not only on bitcoin but on the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Even now Elon is planning to buy Coca Cola which is quoted from his tweet today

Elon does not put such a large amount into an investment without having a detailed idea of how he will improve the impact of the powerful company and make it in some ways different from what it was before. However, so far, Musk has not given any details about his detailed view of Bitcoin. All he has revealed are general ideas about how he sees Twitter now, and how he would like to see it in the future.

As far as know, this man is a meme coin supporter. Not sure if he supports BTC as well as he did with meme coins.

Regarding the news that he just owned Twitter, it is too hurry if we conclude it as the beginning of big support for Bitcoin. Instead of supporting Bitcoin, it is probably a good sign for meme coin holders, especially Dogecoin. Elon Musk is well known as a supporter of Dogecoin, he may plan something big for Dogecoin by taking over Twitter.

However, no one really knows what Elon Musk plans in the future. Remember that Elon Musk doesn't only focus on crypto, he is the owner of Tesla. It will be more reasonable if he bought Twitter for the sake of Tesla marketing. Or he plans to build Twitter to be something bigger in the future.

Elon Musk in no way supports Bitcoin. He sees it as an environmental hazard more than anything and isn't shy to trash BTC while promoting worthless altcoins for the "memes." He doesn't seem to understand the energy burden fiat currency systems require along with the type of infrastructure they use. This isn't surprising for a billionaire, but for someone that is familiar with green energy, you'd think he'd be more willing to reduce the strain financial systems put on energy consumption.

Hmm interesting observation- that could be a possibility where Elon may use some sort of feature on Twitter where Dogecoins can be generated or traded at the same time. I think this is a sign that people should at least acquire/purchase some Dogecoins since the empire of Elon Musk is slowly increasing and getting bigger. Who knows on what purchase or acquisition will he go next- but one thing is sure; it's that his support on Dogecoin implies that he will be utilizing it on his projects.

I just hope that this would bring a positive feedback for cryptocurrencies in general, and not just in Dogecoin. Even though he may be against BTC, I hope that it brings positive effects for cryptocurrencies.

I don’t think Elon Musk truly believes bitcoin is a major cause of environmental hazard. I think he’s just acting as the unpredictable billionaire who can say anything he wants, his character is similar to Donald Trump in a way. Either ways, Elon’s influence in the market cannot be denied. He pumped doge coin by just twitting a few words, and bitcoin dumped when he came out calling bitcoin an environmental menace. Now he owns Twitter, Elon now has a powerful tool at his disposal which he can use to shape narratives in his favor.

Well to be honest i didn't imagine this wild a thought that he might make it possible to pay for Twitter in dogecoins but apparantly this might not be true, if he was to do that he will first do it with Tesla as well then will come to do it with Twitter, but yes if something like this happens Doge will become a utility coin suddenly from a mere meme coin so yes this is dangerous but quite difficult to happen at the same time.

I personally think that Elon Musk will not be able to influence bitcoin in the future, because I think the market will speak for itself, Elon Musk tweets based on his own heart he will not care about other people's feelings, after being told he bought Twitter he immediately made a tweet ,he will do freedom of speech and freedom of speech on Twitter,he will also accept bitcoin with twitter,to be honest I don't really believe in his tweets, because he never does anything according to what he says.

Elon "did" managed to influence bitcoin, mainly doge but I am sure some of that helped bitcoin price to go up as well, specially that 1.5 billion dollars purchase news. Twitter purchase could impact it as well if he somehow integrates it into twitter as well but aside from that I do not see any connection. Twitter is already filled with crypto influencers, unless something changes about that subject, leaving it as it is shouldn't really be a big problem. Even the news of him trying to buy it increased doge which makes no sense, there will no sustainable increase but hypes like these, but it will always be temporary if he doesn't connect the two together.
