Those newbies looking for quick money should all watch out for these fake USDT mining  sites that uses decentralized wallets, it's involves a malicious smart contract that gives the scammer access to the USDT in your wallets when you connect to the site. The most popular used wallet is coinbase wallets; however, the site does not open well in browsers; if you open it in browsers, you will see the image below. These USDT mining scammers are mostly on Twitter; don't be fooled; I don't know the code behind those smart contracts, but if you connect the site to your wallet, all of your USDT will be wiped.

Below are some of the sites with a malicious smart contracts, most of them starting with either ETH, DEFI, USDT with hyphens. Please opening unsafe or untrusted sites in your wallet browser is risky.
Code:
Eth-defi13.com
ETH-trust.com
Integral.gold
Hydefico.com
Losslessmint.org
Dex-cex.biz
dhu-usdt.com
Soblenom.com

I saw people complaining about such malicious sites or tokens a while back. Once you try to connect your wallet lets say metamask to the malicious dapps, or try to trade off the malicious tokens, you somehow grant the scammers access to your address, and they will drain everything in it.

The Best way to avoid getting scammed in such a way is to avoid getting random airdrops or connecting one's wallet to random dapps.

Now they ask you to fund wallet with $20 for ETH gas and the amount of USDT you wish to mine

The Best way to avoid getting scammed in such a way is to avoid getting random airdrops or connecting one's wallet to random dapps.
Yes, but when they discovered that the people receiving the fake airdrop tokens were mostly people who didn't have a single cent in their wallet, they had to take a different approach. They now ask you to fund your wallet with $20 for ETH gas and the amount of USDT you want to contribute to the mining pool. I've heard them spout nonsense several times.

That old "give me some money to do something so I can pay back double". Tongue

Anyway some of the sites listed are no longer working so you did a good job here, maybe some of the sites got taken down. People reading here could also check from WHOIS data who the domain registrar is for these sites and report the same, who knows, maybe one or two gets taken down.

I feel that there is also a communication gap in this forum. Users who usually hunt such airdrops and land up on such sites are usually regular in sections of the forum that do not include the "Scam Accusations" section which is a vital part of this forum. They usually come here after getting scammed. Undecided

Most scam sites use private services when purchasing domains, making it difficult to determine who is behind the site. Additionally, those who use personal information frequently provide incorrect addresses and phone numbers, making it difficult to trace too.

I feel that there is also a communication gap in this forum. Users who usually hunt such airdrops and land up on such sites are usually regular in sections of the forum that do not include the "Scam Accusations" section which is a vital part of this forum. The unfortunate part is that we cannot save everyone; even if these topics are moved to the bounty or altcoin discussion board, the majority of them will still not read it and will fall victim. This type of post serves as a reference point.

Unfortunately, it's not happening anymore with all registrars the rate at which the above was taken offline is quite extraordinary.

I've discussed this with some other users on a topic, everyone wondering why the domain name was still active and the overall consensus is that domain registrars aren't doing anything anymore about this. There are clear scams, obviously Ponzi schemes, with wrong and tock photos, even with identity theft and NameCheap for example is just silent about them. A few years ago they were quite active in suspending domains but nowadays the whole thing has changed, probably they are far happier with the $ than with the bad publicity. None of my reports in the last year had any effect so I reluctantly quit doing so.

From the list I see that there was one drop before expiration with whois history, that was as com domain from godaddy, probably they are paying more attention to the more used .com extension than to the other garbage.

Just as most people don't go for medical check-ups when they are still healthy but only when they can't stand on their feet without help.

I've reported these sites numerous times but nothing has happened despite clear evidence of being a scam site, but Namecheap does not care about any report as you stated because these sites are still running, which is unfortunate because they only care about the money.

Right, Not only Namecheap, Most big websites/businesses don't care about scammers. All they care about is money. Look at the Coinmarketcap, 1xbet getting big numbers of new players from Coinmarketcap every month. I have mailed Coinmarketcap before; They didn't even reply. Check Blockchair.com. They are also doing the same. Even google doesn't verify scam websites. Scammers often use google ad service to promote their scams.
