That was really sad to hear, sometimes you really can get tempted by the gambling for easy money but we haven't consider easy lose too. I hope this could be a lesson to you and I hope the next time you should set a limit or pay first the debt before playing and don't think of gambling to double your money I can make sure that it is not based on my experience, especially if the money is really important.

What a pity mate, sorry for the loss. I know how you feel losing such an amount of dollars just like that without betting with what you can afford to lose. Betting has a spirit that is not easily to control except through discipline and consistent withdrawal of profit from the gambling portfolio. I have lose more than that in gambling and the reason is not because of greed or selfishness but mere self control.

The problem comes from when you are having consistent winning, you may be tricked to put good fund to win more profit but in reality, things doesn't work like that. That's a good sign that somewhat he is bouncing back around and have recovered mentally from those losses.

Same for me, at least 24 hours after a devastating lost, I was able to recuperate, have a good sleep and be back as normal. Maybe for some, it might take some time specially if it is a huge money that you have lost.

the question is why did he gamble it if it's meant for someone as payment?  there were lots of stories like this in the past where someone took a loan to pay for a loan but instead gamble the money and lose. he instead has to person to pay. a movie like "SHARK TALE" is one of it where he asks for money from his girl to pay a loan shark but then he took a chance in a horse race. lose the bet.

sounds like a gambling problem. one solution for this is to sell his priced possession, we all have priced possession to pay the debt.

I didn't know that even a situation like this have now its own movie, that's cool but maybe they made one so that people can get a lesson with it? Watching this movie makes them avoid doing these things in the future. Kudos to the creators of that film but what could be the OP's goal on why he post this? That's why we call it as gambling and many people afraid of losing in such way, when we say we can't control then there is no real solution because only we can control of our actions and be ready to face the reactions. Atleast from now on don't take a gamble with the money you need or atleast stop doing it when you lose 10 to 20% of what you have in the wallet.

You can read again the OP's post. He started with $3 bet not that he had $3 hard-earned money. I have the feeling that the hard-earned money was from his sig campaign. So for about 2 months of sig payment as a legendary member. That's not bad for his bankroll in betting. But unfortunately, he got busted and now, he doesn't have the money to repay for his debt. This shows that in gambling, you really have no assurance if you will be in luck or not. Better keep the money if you have something to pay, at least secure it. And then, just play with your extra.

Being impulsive is never been good when you are playing gambling yet these kind of reactions would really cost you big and this is the thing you should really be aware off when you are playing gambling.

If you do find yourself to be that emotional or highly reactive then its better to stop completely than on losing all of your hard earned money which supposedly to be used into more

I guess you must be aware about the consequences of your action while you continue to gamble, and now its time for you to think of a solution on how to repay your debt. Gambling is only good if you can gamble with an amount you can afford to lose, but if you go beyond that and become uncontrolled, that will be the start of your life's misery. Well, since there's nothing you can do about that, but to save money again to repay your debt, i guess this time take a break from gambling first so you won't be tempted again losing all your hard earned money.

What do you mean by "every bets were placed to roll above 20" ? You mean odds were about @20? it's very high actually and you've made a big mistake to place bets of $3 with such a small bankroll.You can get losing streaks of more than 10 rolls in a row with odds @2.0 then you could imagine the length of a losing streak of @20 odds.
