the agriculture itself not only consumes an area, but also oxygen and a specific atmosphere
I suppose what you meant to say here is carbondioxide (CO
2) as plants are natural purifiers for the environment as they remove CO
2 which is considered a waste product from respiration in humans and its absorbed by plants during photosynthesis. Other than this, I dont know what am saying perhaps, I need a little study.
And yeah, vertical farms do go but, a lot of resources could be needed to make it work, space, good quantity of humid soil, it can't go for deep rooted crops, proper lighting and things like that. So, its limited to certain crops.
Anyway, the solution is simple and that is, just as it is advocated that we ought to plant new tress each time we cut one, we too need to be own our own gardens. To farm a little bit but the issue is, not many can be land owners especially, being a foreign national. I suppose, should there be a drop in crops yield, it won't be far from what we experienced in the Covid-19 pandemic.
Plants reproduction follows an arithmetic sequence while humans follows a geometrical sequence and we consume a lot of food. We need to watch it on our reproduction rate!
